Make clay pots or buy planter boxes from dryad. There are 7 types of herbs you can farm for potions.

Whooo!! Congratulations on beating the Empress of Light!! I guess my fault when fighting her was not using enough buffs and trying to fight her without any form of arena.

Also, I think you missed my comment from last episode so here's some things from that that's still relevant:

Handing in suspicious plants to the dye trader gives you a random dye each time regardless of what the suspicious plant looks like and there's far more than just four special dyes you can get from this.

The Demolitionist and the Goblin Tinkerer must be much further under ground for it to be counted as underground. When the background shifts and the music changes you know you're underground.

The Terrablade is amazing! But there's one sword you can get at this stage of the game that is even better. It is dropped by the final enemy of the Old One's Army invasion.

Well! Here I am, once again, to try to give advice 🙂

I would NOT recommend fighting the Empress during the daytime. Even as a veteran player, I steer clear of enraged bosses when possible, and since you’re now again on the track of melee, you shouldn’t need the terraprisma summon. But if you want that summon, go for it! I won’t stop you! Just know that there are a lot of videos telling you how to cheese this boss for a reason 🙂

So glad to see you craft the terra blade, it’s been my companion as I run through hardmode on calamity.

You losing your shit at the empress had me laughing so hard honestly! It’s a feeling we’re all too familiar with. It’s worse when you’re about to beat the boss and then it suddenly enrages because you took too long, or you went too far, or you jumped… ok veteran terraria players I know that’s not an enraged boss but it’s still bullshit!

I think you’re ready to face the duke! You have the best pre-endgame melee armor, and one of the best swords to play with! Why not give it a shot :3

You’re nearly all set now, for a Terra Blade build with Beetle Scalemail or a summoner build with the Kaleidoscope, Xeno Staff, tiki armor, and Hercules beetle.
– You have the frog leg and sailfish boots. Combine them to make the amphibian boots, which are way better than frostspark boots because they boost wing ascension speed, which is a lifesaver against bosses.
– kill paladins in the dungeon and ice turtles in the underground snow biome to get the paladin’s shield and frozen turtle shell respectively. Combine them to make the Frozen Shield, the best shield in the game.
– do the pumpkin moon more, it has really good summoner loot.
– kill werewolves during a full moon and creatures from the deep during solar eclipses to get the moon charm and Neptune’s shell respectively. Combine them to make the moon shell and combine those with the celestial stone to make the celestial shell.
– Buy steampunk wings from the steampunker, it has better stats than the frozen wings.
– The Old One’s Army event has gotten a lot stronger since you last fought them, but if you kill them you can get a sword that’s basically a better Terra blade that can go through blocks and a summoner armor set that has tons of defence and massively boosts life regeneration.
– buy ale from the tavernkeep NPC, it decreases defence a tiny bit but greatly increases the strength of melee weapons and whips so it’s worth it.
– buy vials of venom from the witch doctor NPC and craft them into flasks of venom, which allow melee and whip attacks to inflict venom.
– ditch the inferno fork and bananarang, they’ve long outlived their usefulness.

and a good thing to know is that if you're going to fight her in the daytime, you may need more gold for reforging. you'll see why

Zenith may be the strongest melee, but Starlight (from Empress) is still my favorite. The bow from Empress is cool as well!

36:39 ichor is a crimson exclusive item it's drop from ichor slicker in underground crimson, curroption also have it version and it's curse flame it's drop by worlds feeder in the surface curroption and by clinger in underground curroption

finally all caught up! also you might have fought duke fishron enraged (by accident as he becomes so when fought outside of the ocean biome. so when you fight him again try and make sure to stay in the ocean. there is also a way to cheese him by using teleporters but i dont fell like your the type of person to do that. also gnomes turn into statues when exposed to sun light. the gardern gnome statues increase a hidden stat known as luck. it is possible to fine multiple lacewings in one night but only one can spawn at a time(but catching them does allow more to spawn. also it is a good idea to have informational accessory items (like the lifeform Analyzer) in your inventory. you can craft all of them together into a cellphone as well which displays all info with a single item.
