I accidentally ran into the legendary fish and caught it on my second try (had to go home and get the trap bobber thing) but I actually fished for it right outside the mines instead of on the lil island thing

I've desperately tried to fish for the mutant carp. I've already spend legit 2 whole game days just fishing in the sewers and it just never bites. I remember it bitting on once before but I wasn't able to catch it. But that's been years ago in-game. No idea what I'm doing wrong here…
Today I got my last fish it wasn’t a legendary fish it was the Dorado
The legend II fish is the reason jumped back into stardew valley. Not because I wanted as fishing challenge, because I wanted to test out something. And yes it turns out you can duplicate that 11k goodness. So I got a nice payout of 10 million for selling 999 of them. Then I ate some, put some in sushi, threw them into a fish tank, and just threw them at the mayor. I wonder if it’ll make the soup taste good at the luau.
