Can I Beat Terraria by CODING a “Palworld” Class?

Objectively wrong I don’t need money in this so I might as well use it for something somewhat useful at this point I went mining in the ice biome on the east side of the map I’m playing with my two cave enhancing mods better caves and the Orchid M shaft for a smoother early

The Jungle you may have noticed by not that panas and Manors cannot be captured and in the case of these two it wouldn’t make much sense to change it as they wouldn’t really be able to do anything for the player in most circumstances panas are useless outside of water and

Snatchers or manit wouldn’t be able to reach most Targets in this version approximately 60 to 70% of HTI n pces Can Be Tamed this OB viously does not include any bosses Critters and tonen pieces although some boss summons Can Be Tamed I started capturing some Hornets

Again and found a jungle Shrine did I say a jungle Shrine because I clearly meant two and by two I mean four which would have been amazing if they were of any use to Me there was another Hive next to my Arena and while blowing it up I noticed bees were dying from the captur fair hits this is another small issue I’d have to fix later their Max Health was lower than the damage dealt by a capture sphere which I didn’t plan for I fixed

It by making targets be captured if a fa is going to kill them or if they have under 15% Health whichever comes first I buffed up and summoned the Queen B again this fight went a lot better even though I accidentally summoned the blue slime at the beginning which I tried really

Hard to get smashed by the boss because it was a thing of a Slot getting more Hornets definitely helped with the fight but I underestimated how much I need again and finished the fight with only be and blue slimes in my stash that one hero Hornet to the matter in Helo and sacrificed itself to defeat the boss the fight only gave me enough wax

To craft two pieces of the Bor set but it didn’t matter as all I’m looking for is the bonus minion slot from the helmet so I could summon six captures I also got a honeycomb from the fight which was basically free damage so I won’t complain the next goal was the Wall of

Flesh and I started building an elevator stumbl open the main M shaft for my mods which got me a few Life Crystals and kept pushing down I also got a mushroom ring from my cave mod for some healing and eventually reached the Underworld the plan was simple I will build the

Bridge and capture everything I could until I felt ready to fight the wall just like in the ice biome local B proved extremely useful in protecting me and capturing the rest of the wildlife lava slimes would without a doubt be kind of lackluster Against the Wall of

Flesh and I’m un sure how well BN serpents would do even if they are super cool just like Hornets in the jungle demons as flying projectile casters would certainly be the best option it is worth noting that imps cannot be captured in this version of The Mod

Because I felt like they would be pretty impractical but it’s something I might change in the future I removed the honeycom accessory I got from the Queen B fight because B sumon were finishing of targets I was trying to Capture I eventually got slain by a Voodoo Demon but it doesn’t matter much as it doesn’t affect my capture stash so after losing a fight with gravity and finding three Life Crystals that I had somehow missed I went back to work I noticed two things a bug where

Had the semblance of strategy going in and through my entire stock of hellbats and Bone serpents at the hungry is trying to get rid of the bulk the hellbats were very effective the serpents not so much probably because the platform was too high and they couldn’t reach the

    Or, i think there could be a less broken but still weird idea for your next project

    Maybe you could add the ability to reanimate mobs and even Town NPCs for and make them fight for you like this

  2. Awesome video. Also, a great way to show off the mod. And although it might be a little bit overpowered, my favorite part of pal world was having a super strong pal on my team. I think it would be pretty cool to be able to have bosses on your team. Maybe limit it to only one boss at a time to balance, or even decrease health. And I have never coded any sort of mod on terraria so I don't know the difficulty of implementing mobs with such complex attack patterns. Anyway, a great mod, will have to check it out.

  3. I dont know if you will be adding more contentet, but i feel progresion will help with the balance issues, something like a need to upgrade the "MosterBall" to be able to catch enemies for harder biomes, the dungeon, hell, etc.
    any ways, i really enjoyed the video, you are so good at modding and making content 😀

  5. A very interesting mod that has a lot of potential in the way of content.
    Obviously, first and foremost, unique accessories and maybe even tweaked armor bonuses would be a really nice thing to add to make this feel like a unique class, rather than a summoner sub-class. In general I feel like tying the class to summoner, and therefor having it be affected by summoner gear in general, sort of restricts the usability for this subclass, and it feels like more of a gimmick that’s fun as a challenge, rather than an actual viable choice to go for.

    Secondly, I do feel there’s a lot of potential for different sphere types, as well as maybe some unique perks for each type, such as biome-locked spheres that give you a boost in their native biomes, but decreased performance in others, and biome-neutral spheres, that don’t have any overarching benefits, but can be used anywhere (such as the one in this video) without negative impact.

    Further expanding on this, you could even have gem slots or inserts in each sphere, where you can craft and upgrade many different gems that can apply elemental or physical stat boosts to your sphere and its occupants. This makes the class feel more linear to the progression, as you would always have a new goal to strive for in terms of an upgrade, and it would generally help to make the class feel less out of place.

    Third…ly (I don’t know what the plural for third is) There’s definitely been a missed opportunity for boss relics! (or whatever you want to call them). These would generally be unique accessories specifically for the subclass that would add permanent companions (so… sort of like pals) that would always be available, without being too strong. The incentive for these is to have something you can use to deal with enemies, without always needing to capture a reserve of enemies to have on hand at any given time. This may sound like regular summoner, but I feel it’s a good addition, and it gives you a reason to fight every boss to see their unique summon. To keep it fresh, I do think you should only be able to equip one of these at a time, or that you have to choose 1 if you have multiple equipped, and any time you’d try summoning another one, it would replace the current.

    I’m extremely tired while writing this, so I apologize if I repeated any of my points, or said something that you already considered in the video, but these are just some ideas that I think could make this mod better. That is, if you’re planning on updating it. Anyway

  6. i know it's not a good idea for everything to be capturable, but i think it should be a config option just for fun (maybe with a disclaimer that it's not balanced)

  7. maybe an idea you could try is making it bosses are not catchable(if you were planning that or something) but making certain enemies be able to be enhanced to become the boss later on like for example maybe the eye of Cthulhu could be made by giving the demon eye 30 evil material( shadow scales or brain tissue).

    edit: also idk if this was in the video but maybe a way to be able to revive enemies

  8. This is amazing and I love the concept! I do have two ideas that could improve the mod:
    The first thing is a way to distinguish your summoned mobs and projectiles from regular ones.
    The second thing is maybe the capture spheres could act as whips, in the sense that they tag enemies so you can target specific mobs
    Other than those I think this is really well fleshed out and I'd love to see what you do with this in the future <3

  9. Do the captures enemies permanently die if defeated?

    If so, I'd suggest putting them on a long cooldown instead to reduce grind. It's already balanced around minion slots anyway.

    This seems like it would make for a funny playthrough
