Practically if actually somehow a zombie stole your armor the easiest and most sure way to get it back with the same durability as before is to drown the zombie and when it become to a drowned it will drop the armor with the same durability it had before the zombie wear it
And the chances to get back your armour if you kill it are less than 5%
