so many incredible additions were added into stardo Valley’s newest update and among all of them were plenty of aesthetic changes and with this came plenty of new furniture pieces only to be acquired from new cataloges in the game I’m junob and if you’re new here I’m a huge stard to Enthusiast and I do normally play on Nintendo switch but for this newest update I had to bring myself to play on the PC for the first time with a controller of course I can’t play with a mouse and a keyboard to save my life so anyways here’s a look at every new catalog added in stardo Valley’s 1.6 update spoilers ahead if that wasn’t already obvious before I get into the new catalogs themselves I wanted to briefly talk about the game’s previous catalogs prior to update 1.6 there were two first the catalog literally called the catalog purchased from Pierre’s store costing 30k and providing you with a large selection of free wallpaper and flooring and secondly the furniture catalog available at Robin’s carpenter shop after upgrading your Farmhouse and sold 200k providing you with unlimited access to what used to be the majority of the furniture items in the game now what we’re really here for here is a rundown of all of the new cataloges as of 1.6 and let me tell you they are so good first up we have the joa furniture catalog it can be purchased at joja Mart for 25k or for 30k at the traveling cart after completing the community center bundles and is perfect for the joa Enthusiast as it includes an array of joa themed items when you are first interacting with this catalog a dialogue comes up detailing the terms of service it reads as follows by activating this item the user hereby agrees not to hold jojoo responsible for any damage to life or property resulting from the use of joa Thrive Furniture the user is aware that there may be untested plastic materials present in one or more Thrive Furniture pieces and waves any right to hold JoJo liable for adverse Health outcomes attributable to contact with said plastic materials the user hereby waves any right to hold joao liable for so-called shoddy workmanship ship and agrees to any and all bodily harm resulting from breakage cracking powdering bending clamping pinching impaling or any other unintended effect of using DOA Thrive Furniture is solely the result of voluntary user action join us Thrive what an absolutely comforting statement anywh who as the description for this catalog States it grants one lifetime subscription to the official joa Thrive collection featuring 40 Exclusive Furniture pieces as well as a matching joa flooring and wallpaper so let’s go through some of the pieces together we have some of the basic household items like the joa bed an assortment of joa tables dressers the joa couch even some joa inspired rugs and bookcases then we’ve got some classier items with the plastic plants and the jight and then there’s just a large amount of pieces you’d find in a joa warehouse itself with items like a cash register joa crates even a joa shopping cart so a very authentic feel here and we can’t forget the wall pieces one of course being Morris’s manager of the Year portrait so that’s just Priceless and just as a last mention here there is a decorative joa door which these decorative doors are a new addition to stardo and pretty much each new catalog has their own version all jokes aside though these pieces could make for a really fun theme depending on how you want to style different areas next up and one of my favorites if not my absolute favorite we have the junimo catalog this is purchased exclusively at the traveling cart for 70k after completing the community center or finishing the JoJo route and there is a 10% chance that it will appear in the Shop’s inventory this catalog features pieces with a more earthy Vibe and even includes some Community Center elements now I have to get this out of the way first because it’s my favorite thing about this catalog you now have access to seven different little sleeping junimos of all of the colors of the rainbow and they are the cutest things ever I used to really like the gimos you could get from the crane machine in the movie theater but in my opinion these are even better now besides that when I said earthy I truly meant it we’ve got the junimo bed the bookcase the chair the dresser and even the couch all featuring this green leaves design just to name a few some of my favorite other earthy pieces are this gimo lamp that looks like a mushroom the gimo tree that can be placed outside and the gimo plant here also as I mentioned previously about the community center pieces we have the gimo plaque the bulletin board a gimo star the gimo bundle even a painting entitled Community Center and another interesting available Furniture piece in this catalog that I feel like I have to point out is the the gimo Hut alongside the large gimo Hut and the small version as well now these are not active meaning real Ginos won’t Harvest your crops from them but they are super cute and you can place them indoors so I’m a fan I’ll also quickly point out that there are some new wallpapers and flooring from this one as well that really go along with all of these pieces next another one of my favorites the Retro catalog which is another traveling card exclusive that goes for 110,000 can be purchased after completing the community center or joet and has a 10% chance to show up in the Shop’s inventory and just as it sounds it provides you with furniture with a retro aesthetic this is actually one of the smaller cataloges but the quality of the pieces definitely makes up for that in my opinion some standouts are the Retro bed the dresser the fireplace the couch and the cabinet I also want to make sure to point out the Retro cushions they can be placed on the floor similar to a rug and I believe they are a new addition for 1.6 with all of the new catalogs having their own personal versions of them although I didn’t previously show them both the junimo and the JoJo catalog had ones in their style as well now the Retro catalog really has some cool art pieces like The Groovy painting the checkers painting or for a more space type Vibe we have the Starship painting and the UFO painting just to name a few I also want to quickly show the added flooring wallpaper as I think they’re pretty unique as well many of them feeling very 7s this next catalog is called the wizard catalog and is sold exclusively at kobis shop in the sewers for 15K although expensive it definitely feels worth it with the items it provides that are surprise surprise the the Wizard’s decorating style and I think this may be the largest catalog of them all after you first interact with the catalog a letter from The Wizard is shown similar to the joa catalog and reads as follows my ex-wife took all the furniture fortunately I have the good sense to make ethereal copies of everything and transcribe them into this book enjoy M rasmodius well I’m sure glad he did because like I said before this catalog is absolutely packed it is very accessory heavy with items like crystal balls Elixir and so many variations of books there are Standalone books of a ton of different colors but then there are also Fallen books book piles and even book Stacks I personally would probably buy this catalog entirely for these additions but there is one other unique addition in this catalog that I’ll bring up before highlighting some of the more General pieces and that is shelves there are four shelf options The Elixir shelf the small Elixir shelf the small stacked Elixir shelf and the Stacked Elixir shelf and these in my opinion add some really nice visual interest to your walls when added I found that I like placing them in the kitchen but anywhere would look nice honestly now to highlight some pieces from the rest of the catalog we have the bed the dresser which is a super cool shape quite a few bookcase options and lots of interesting tables as well just to name a few our last catalog is one that cannot be purchased but instead needs to be scavenged for through the trash of all things after hitting a minimum of 50 garbage cans searched there is a 1 in 500 chance of receiving the trash cattle calog for each can searched those stats might not sound great but I personally got this catalog pretty quickly in my first 1.6 playthrough so if you’re checking the trash cans often you may get it sooner than expected if you’re a Shane or Pam Enthusiast this catalog will make you feel right at home with Decor pieces like the spilled beverage the broken TV and the plastic lawn chair and if you saw a short I did a while back on this one then you already know just how nicely you can dirty your home with cans bottles plastic bags and wrappers one nicer addition to this catalog however are the messy clothing pieces even if you feel the rest of the options are not really for you the messy shirt and messy shorts could definitely add a little life into your homes so that’s all of the new cataloges in stardy Valley because I was curious I went through and added up how many pieces you’d get if you acquired all five of them and here’s a breakdown of that so in total you’re getting over 200 New pieces the most being from the Wizards catalog and the leaste from the trash catalog which in terms of cost it all kind of makes sense the trash catalog you’re only getting 17 total items but you paid nothing for it other than your time and potential humiliation from Town’s folk who may have caught you searching through the trash and then with the Wizards catalog you’re paying a pretty penny but you’re also getting the most items 68 to be exact so it all kind of evens out except for the Retro catalog of course that one is pretty much an outlier but the pieces are so cute I think I’m still getting my money’s worth now I would love to hear your opinions in the
