Just pointing out the fact that in Minecraft story mode the portal to the portal hall is a similar blue color, or it could be referencing a certain glow stone portal as well.

I find it cool that you and many others have their own unique interpretations of Steve, but I think acting like yours is definitively correct is a bit silly considering he is the blank slate protagonist of a sandbox game built around creativity. Gotta agree with you on the piglins though, they're pretty much exactly how the piglins would look in this art style and they captured them so well in my opinion
