A Structure Overhaul Is Coming To Minecraft (custom biomes too)

Minecraft Preview 1.21.40.22 introduced some pretty massive changes to the jigsaw block, both in front of and behind the scenes. Additionally in this preview more information has been found on custom biomes, bundles are more colorful than ever before, and a whole lot more has been updated! Today we play a little bit of preview catchup and check out all of the new minecraft updates and next update too!

    Noo way they actually listened to my input! I mentioned how simple it would be to repurpose blocks into new structures like a deepslate wizards tower in the old birch forest or a mossy cobblestone dungeon under a taiga, you could implement the illusioner, where the zombie horses spawn, and maybe normal skeletons but with swords

    We really need an Autumn like forest biome, with a new Tree for yellow leaves and the leaves accumulate on ground just like the cherry does, and the perfect new mob: Raven

    jigsaw block are also in charge of the chests inside the structures and in Java (idk if also in bedrock) you can summon structures and inside there will be jigsaw block and you can see how it take part of the world generation

    FINALLY they are making the Jigsaw Blocks work!! Jigsaw Blocks didn't work at all in Bedrock edition so people who wanted to make structures like the trial chamber (which change every time you find one) had to use command blocks and a lot of extra external coding. I can't wait to make my own dungeons!

    Im in love with them making modding easier with jigsaw block updates. But could we please get some more data driven lighting and textures. The bedrock textures Are awful compaired to the java ones, especially the realistic and RTX textures. The best bedrock has is Faithful.
