In the future if you bug the nether (or the end) you can just go in the world save and delete the region folder for the dimension. Which will essentially reset and regenerate everything for said dimension, hopefully foxing the problem.
Now as far as which folder DIM1 is the end abd DIM-1 is the nether (or so says google)
