paladium armour has its shine in harder modded difficulties, where u sometimes need to quickly recover from devastating hits. it's been made easier with 1.4 introducing loadouts

I always use palladium cause titanium and adamantite take so long to grind and aren't really that much better
Titanium armor is for any class is worst option. Even mythril for melee is better
