Seriously waddles before you take anyone's word at face value make sure you contact gargin to confirm if he was actually involved in its creation especially since this mod is behind a pay wall.
Lot of the other cave dweller mods were/are bootleg versions made by people to milk off the success of the og version sadly resulting in the og mod getting buried under the fake ones some did use the og's files without permission and credit

Addressing some stuff in the video; the moth can be picked up by interacting with it, and it will in fact lead you to the closest dwelling, which you can eradicate to fend off the Cave Dweller in a radius. Additionally, the Cave Dweller is able to learn a lot of different things, including breaking blocks to get to the player!
We did notice a few new issues have appeared with the latest Minecraft update (like the awkwardly mispositioned kill animation) so we're looking into those asap! Happy spelunking. 🙂
