I saw your yellow hearts and was wondering why you hadn't eaten a Blood Orange or Miracle Fruit. You need the hardmode anvils for those! It's interesting to see what all I had taken for granted by watching your playthrough.

If you do this run on Infernum can't you skip WoF using the 4 naturally spawning eidolists on the top of the forth layer? I mean assuming that does work the next step would be defeating Infernum Lunatic Cultist with essentially pre-boss gear which would be insane. (feel free to correct me if i'm a complete dumbass but i could swear eidolists spawn off world gen in infernum)

I know it's far too late to mention but unless I missed it, you didn't have the Normality Relocator which you could have made since you already had the rod, exodium, stardust, and could get cinderplate from a Draedon lab. Otherwise, great video!
Do we not count event bosses as bosses? They drop treasure bags and trophies, and have boss in the name.
If you go into the dungeon while the eye of Cthulhu is actively in your world, the dungeon guardian won't spawn. Just a bit of advice

if you only lose the challenge by 'defeating' the boss, you can just get eow to ~10% hp and let it kill you for free scales and get the nightmare pickaxe
I've played Calamity all of once, years ago and I still felt like I could follow everything you were doing. Great video, cool challenge, good editing, and fantastic personality. Keep it up, as long as you want to.

I actually tried this challenge a while ago! A friend challenged me to complete it under 10 bosses, managed to get to the Devourer before giving up though. Major props for completing this challenge!

After finding out about the WoF skip a few months back, I tried to do a pre-hardmode Yharon low% (five bosses, like the other guy who I can't remember the name of)
Yeah ignoring the fact that I couldn't reinstall the version where pre-boss Lunatic cultist was possible (Eidolists spawning pre-boss in the abyss, and dropping an item to summon the cultist), farming Ravager dozens of times with 2nd tier hardmode ore gear isn't exactly fun
Aero Slime also drops Aerialite Ore pre any boss afaik. Which lets you skip quite a bit as well

I find it strange how you found draconic swarmers and the rover drive to be difficult farming points. I farmed the swarmers in a low% Yharon run, and it took all of 10 minutes with a water candle (grabbed through the dungeon wall) and battle potion. And the rover drives I usually end up selling in early pre-hardmode because of how frequently they turn up
if i may suggest.
if you didnt need the essences to summon and fight calamitas clone you couldve skipped ravager entirely. lumanite can downgrade down to copper entirely via shimmer. i dont know if this is different because of calamity mod or not because i havent tested it in my own playthrough
…you didn't count the frost and pumpkin moon bosses. So you beat it in 14 bosses, not 9 :c
fun fact! due to the dragonfolly crafting recipe being reworked to be pre moon lord, Yharon is also pre moon lord, this doesn't affect this run, but it is really funny to pull off in speedruns
its always interesting to see how other people play. you use dragon rage over murasama for worm bosses and sepulcher hearts, which idk if thats better i just love murasama
