I UPGRADED The WORST TERRARIA Base

Can I fix this awful Terraria house? Let’s find out in my first ever gameplay playthrough of Terraria!

Check out the first part here! 👉 https://youtu.be/ck63BIjzm9Q?si=gxo4zRcb_-oMBSH1

I have only played Terraria once, and it was in the begining of this series, hopefully I don’t suffer as much as before while I try to build the perfect starter house in Terraria for the first time an kill some bosses like Skeletron and the eye of Chtulu. Don’t expect something great, I’m not good at videogames.

  1. To make potions, make a bottle, go to a place with water, make a bottle with water and go with the guide, he will show you all the possible potions and tell you where to make them (basically put an empty bottle on the table)

  2. Now you figured out the sorting system, you can also make items favorite in your inventory by Alt+clicking them. Those items don't go out your inventory 👍

  3. If you want npcs not to live in your house you can catch a stinkbug by using a bug net which you can buy from the merchant (also buy a piggy bank)
And then ask the guide on how to turn the stinkbug into a block and place it in your house

  4. I am currently racing with your playthrough with a playthrough of my own, but man I might lose when you upload this much 🗣️🗣️

  5. I just want to comment some tips if you'd don't mind:
    – You can sort your storage by naming the chest for a specific item type, examples like block, materials, furniture, etc.
Name the chest by specific things you would use are also fine if there's already to much in one, like Potion making, Ores and Bars, Decorative Blocks, a Misc item, etc

    – Try to sell some items if you already have one for examples if you get anything from a golden chest or some loot, you can make some passive money from there

    – Made some house's for NPC to stay, this is important because there's so many NPC to spawn and also benefit you.
If you put them in a specific biome, some NPC that sell items will offer more items from what they currently selling, you can see their information in the Binary if you pause the menu or in the main menu, you can see the specific biome in the background

    – Make a crafting station, this is also important because there's so many item you can craft in this game and there's some specific type's.
That can craft mostly anything you need or a specific material to craft a furniture.
Example for the first one is work bench, furnace, hellforge, anvil, sawmill, etc
For the second one is sollidifier, honey dispenser, living loom, glass kiln, ice machine.
Make sure separate this so you don't confuse to much when you were crafting.

Sorry if this to much to read, have fun and hopefully you got the good experience from the game 🙂

  6. One thing a lot of players do is basically building one huge appartment of tiny homes for all the NPCs, small tip, not all NPCs like each other tho, I don't really know how to check it without using a wiki/guide.

PS: Check the little house button in your inventory when near your houses

  7. I assume you already know about the smart cursor (press CTRL to toggle). You can use it to plant tree seeds and place torches. It will automatically place seeds/torches with efficient spaces between them. So, if you want to place them along the way, just toggle the smart cursor, hold your left click, and walk. You can also do that while exploring underground/caverns, so your caves will be perfectly lit up.

  8. Ok ,here comes a bunch of tips for working with all the different stuff u used in this video.
At the end, when you talked with the Zoologist, she had a green crystal in her shop. This is a Pylon and they are very useful. Depending on where it is bought, it can be different colour and that is important!. Zoologist is also, the sister of the Golfer you rescued some time back. She's a werefox. Think werewolf, but fox.

Clothier sells clothing items and is actually the old man from the Dungeon that you rescued by killing the Boss. Sidenote, now the dungeon is open and it'd be worthwhile to explore it.

Consider getting a full set of armor. there are set bonuses for wearing matching pieces.

When you're asking the guide about crafting, underneath the item you are checking the recipe of, you can see the crafting station you need.

You bought paint, but didn't use it, so I'll just say this. The paint is so cheap, because it is a one-use item. Brush paints one block, Wall roller paints 1 wall.

You can open a present by hovering over it in the inventory and using the right mouse button.

And my final piece of advice is: Put the Blood Butcher (the sword you're using right now) into the Guide Crafting Box.

  9. – Now that you've killed Skeletron, you can go down into that Dungon made out of green bricks.
    – You might want to check out those four buttons under the coin and ammo slots.
    – You can purchase the Piggy Bank and the Safe from the Merchant NPC. Both of them are literally separate Ender Chests in that you can mine them and they'll keep items inside, and those items will appear if you place another Piggy Bank or Safe anywhere in the world.
    – Place down all the Banners. They give buffs against their respective enemy type.

  10. good to see how you learning the game you doing very well for a first time, you base is looking very nice

btw you game is playing in christmas mode, (Cause you close to christmas) it add some new skins to zombies just like in minecraft in hallowen zombies wear pumpking in their headds, and they can drop presents that have materials theme for christmas to make chistmas trees and decorate it terraria have this event for hallowen and christmas (not much change tho) but don't worry about those, later on in the game there will be a boss that you can unlock all the christmas/hallowen stuff no need to be on specific dates so you don't lose anything after christmas is out as you can get the things later on anyway.

  11. 1 buy a piggy bank from your merchant. Put your coins in there. You wont lose them when you die and when buying you can pull directly from it you dont need the money in your inventory
2 make your armor in sets. If you wear a full set you get a set bonus. For example all the early game ores (lead, silver) its just bonus armor or the crimsion armor gives super healing or meteorite armor makes the space gun cost no mana.
3 iirc theres 19 npcs you will want a house for each. Andfor those houses you might not want to rely on doors and some monsters can get through them

  12. Good job with the house, it looks good. The furry is living in your bathroom though lol

I think you're gonna craft it sooner or later but try reading the description of the deathbringer/crimson pickaxe when showing crimtane bars to the guide
Also, sometimes its better to stick with a full set of armor made with inferior materials because of set bonus (or prioritizing making the full set). Some set bonus are really good
If you place a bottle on a platform/table/workbench, that counts as a potions crafting station. You can fill bottles with water and thats the base for every potion, then just show a bottle of watah to the guide

  13. Quick tip, favorite your items you want to keep at all times like potions and then when you walk by a chest you can quick deposit or deposit all

  14. If you take a look at you equipment slots (not items hotbar, but armor and stuff to the right), you will see a small house icon above them, which allows you to tell your NPCs where they should live.

  15. 1. Radar and other information accessories (such as clock, compass, etc…) work even when in inventory and not equipped.
    2. Some accessories can be combined with other accessories, gaining abilities of both. If tooltip shows "material", you should check guide to see what you can craft with it.
    3. That house looks great!
    4. NPCs keep moving in because there's free house in the world. They will occupy it even if you don't expect that. So i recommend building a lot of spare houses.

  16. Where jungles stretch with their shadowy might,
To the edge of the world, set forth through the night.
Where golden sands end their shimmering trail,
Dig down below, let your courage prevail.

Opposite the place of the great skull's domain,
Shimmer awaits in a hidden terrain.
Beneath the earth where secrets ignite,
    Ancient magic rests, glowing bright.

  17. So, a few general no-spoiler tips.
Housing problem: try clicking at tabs right above your charachter's gear(little house and camera above armor that you wear), there're some intresting things.
Some things you wonder how to get: might or might not be a surprise, but most things are gonna be locked by progression and you can only get them after defeating a specific boss.
A little tip on progression: try asking the Guide for help quire frequently, his tips change after certain things are done and he'll *guide* (badam ts-s-s-s) you to next steps.

  18. Good idea for making items sold by npcs cheaper is to spread them out. They like to have homes in different biomes (jungle for painter for example). With both their biome and neighbour that they like their happiness will improve and so prices of items they sale.
