I tried terraria as well recently! Honestly wasn’t for me, had to look up stuff on the wiki constantly and that made it super boring. Haven’t watched this video yet but I hope you like it.

Th pylons didn't work because they were above the biome
Campfires, Heart Lanterns, buff potions, and building an arena makes boss fights a billion times easier. Also on master mode it's basically required.

Watching somebody play Terraria for the first time is really a good way to highlight the problems that this game has.
I say this as somebody with over 1000 hours in the game, I love it so much and I'm more then willing to overlook the issues, but Terraria is far from a perfect game and I'm tired of pretending it is.
Again, still a really good game, especially after you HAVE learned everything.
Havent played terraria for almost a decade. Were you missing out combining items on the goblin table? I know you could make rocket boots and an obsidian horseshoe.
