  1. Chest navigation is already slow in bedrock. Since the Legacy Console Edition was phased out, they forgot to include wraparound to the item and chest slots. Like if you put your cursor on the rightmost item slot and press right on the D-Pad, the cursor jumps to the leftmost slot. Same with the top and bottom. It's honestly frustrating that they never got around to this. But without it especially, placing the chest and block UIs to the side will seriously slowly down controller players even MORE because now you have to move so many slots side to side lol. Without wraparound, if you want to move something from the rightmost slot of your inventory to the leftmost, it's gonna take a second either to spam the D-Pad like crazy or just wait for the cursor to slowly drift it's way over there.

  2. I feel like they can tweak it better like have the picture of block on the top left or right to show what you're opening and have some texture beside just plain color

For those concerned about the horizontal layout, Bedrock already has a setting to swap between the classic UI, which is practically identical to the Java UI, and the pocket edition UI, which is sideways for accessibility (and also super ugly, it's in desperate need of an update). I see no reason to expect the horizontal UI to be locked, or for it to even be default, it is less accessible on all platforms other than mobile, it'd be a huge pain especially on Bedrock with a controller.

  4. I would love if they made touching storages open together with that UI, multiple chests or shulkers showing at once around your inventory. A similar mass storage UI was used in SMTImagine. You could have I think 16 chests open at once and move them around on screen so they always opened where you wanted them based on convenience.

  5. If thisnis how things gonna be they got ALOT to change.

    Firstly, muscle memory from top to bottom. They need to have an option to change that back to being vertical instead of horizontal.

    Secondly, the number trying to indicate how many items we have. Thats gotta change, it collides to much with inventory boxes and just looks like its telling us what number of boxes it is.

    Thirdly, that hot bar is garbage, im all for a redesign but its to bright, to solid. Give us an option to do either "dark mode" it, change the transparency of it, or just flat out give us the option to go back to the old one.

    If nothing is changed, just like pocket edition, they better give us an option to go back and fourth better the new ui and the old ui, otherwise Mojang will even have the players that dont care about anything complaining on them

  6. I'll be honest, in a pvp aspect. The concept ui is absolutely worse, it blocks more of the screen.. ๐Ÿ’€
    And before you say anything, some worlds i join have global resources disabled.

  7. Not needed. We don't need it to look different.
    What we need is more options to handle items (sorting, selection) and attached inventories.
    Attached? Yes. If we get tabs for containers next to each other, and/or we can select which 2 to see on screen, that would be great. And then different colors are handy.
    Using shulker boxes like a "/dev/null" would be great too.

  8. my first reaction is "I dont know about the UI changes" but that's because I've been playing the game since I was nine, and now I'm above the age to drink alcohol in the US. So I've been used to the old UI for a VERY long time. I think it's something that can people will get used to, or like more. I think all the UIs shown need some more work if they're gonna convince the players though, all things considered they're still kinda "basic" when compared to other games UIs. Which, granted, this is a leak of unfinished and unannounced assets, so it makes sense! Let them cook some more in the new year!

    I think that if the screenshots are fully accurate (cause it sounds like the source might be more editing things together for representation of what itll look like? Which I dont have a problem with just taking it with a grain of salt) the option to have the inventories stacked or side-by-side needs to be toggleable, because a lot of the comments have already pointed out that it takes up a lot more room on the screen, more hand fatigue for distance to cover, and harder to process that information because of that same distance issue.

  9. Its okay that everything is redesign because mojang wanted to make there game more aesthetics, and sometimes more scary.
    But anyways its to bad that all other people are making memories with old ui because of their childhood times.

    They should at lest leave a option for a classic version so the ui looks like the.. well I guess now old ui till this update comes out
