As someone who loves building with lodestones as detail blocks, this is an amazing change
These new variants remind me of how frog variants are based on temperature. The only difference is the baby is not dependent on temperature.

My opinion:
1.) leaf litters should spawn very sparsely in any of the forest biomes perhaps they should spawn more only if it's autumn season👀
2.) Personally, I don't like the new pig textures, however instead of getting biome dependent pigs, and since mojang is going for different variants of pigs they should just implement the pig textures (or atleast one of it) from Minecraft Earth.
Optional recommendation: hmm, for the lodestone i think it's better if it were just copper instead of iron ingot, all for the sake of giving copper a little bit more use in recipes.
Prediction for the future of this update: I think this isn't just seasons update like most people predicted, but an ambience update where-in we'll not only get seasons but also different variants of farm animals👀 (wooly cows! OR MOOBLOOMS!)
I'm excited for this quality of life update but I don't wanna get my hopes up just yet.. it isn't too bad to speculate is it?😍
I loved this update! Such subtle details that have greatly improved the game's biomes, I'm looking forward to the next snapshots. I hope that in the next snapshots they add new details like rocks in the biomes, new flowers and maybe more mob variants like cows and chickens
I hope they make it that if you use bonemeal on the leaf litter tile, it turns green instead of brown
Pig update? This is the best time to add the ability to name a pig Techno giving it a crown.
I find it incredibly weird that they keep adding mob variants like wolves and now even pigs that have biome variants, but they don’t just make one generic way to set the variant for ALL mobs with components in datapacks.
Like, why is there a specific component for wolf variant and a different specific component for pig variant when we could instead just have a component called “variant” and they update EVERY mob to have the option for texture variants that can be determined by things such as biome data, weather, time, etc.
Even if they don’t plan to use it right away, datapack makers still could, and adding that feature later just means they need to UNDO some of their current work by removing the components for pig and wolf variants.

They should really make an update like this every once in a while unlike forcing them to come up with an idea for updates every year, this way they can freely release small changes like these to make Minecraft even better (specially the mob variants)
The leaf particles, leaf litter, wildflowers, and warm pig are so great! I hope they include purple and green particles mixed together for the flowering azalea leaves, that'd be so pretty!
Player: I've got everything in the game built way to many things and started way to many worlds I wish there was a new boss, new dimension or an end rework to explore.
Time to play something else till it gets added…
Mojang: Two new textures for pigs and retextured cherry flower in birch forest, leaf litter, falling leaf and loadstone is more accessible! don't forget leaks of a 2 pixel wide mob

i do have to say, though- the warm pig variant reminds me more of a capybara than a pig…
3:26 so does that effect apply to trees only (world or player generated)? Or will it also apply to placed leaf blocks by the player? I'm hoping the former only, otherwise it might be annoying in farms or when used as decorations (in some cases).

I think they should do a 1/1000 (or 1/2000) chance texture for every main animal. For pigs it would be the muddy pig from Minecraft Earth

i hope they add more animal variants to that would be nice not just pigs and maybe some other stuff to nature to but we will see i really hope they do then i can stop using mods for the varients but i am sure there are more snapshots to come
