I got tears in my eyes today, it finally feels like the toxic nature of the minecraft community is slowly going away. I'm glad everybody is liking the new drops.
honestly, really disappointing update because all of these changes could of gotten on the release of the full update but now my generated pale gardens are 2 trees of size

Good loadstone change, I wanted to use them
Leaf litter could be great for speed runners
I was going to use ruffly a stack and a half of loadstones as path decorations. Now I don’t need to go hunting for ancient debris
So now we can use lodestone in survival builds !!!

What he’s working on is something he’s worked on in the past and it’s not Minecraft 2, he also announced that he’s not making Minecraft 2 and didn’t even look at the poll results, he just tried to get some hype for his new game in a bit of a shady way
I think the lodestone should have two variants, the one that uses iron for builders but does not have the compass functionality but the netherite variant does, it just felt right for such a thing to be made with netherite
Are gold farms broke now? I read something about zombified piglins but I’m not sure

While definitely not a super extravagant and exciting snapshot for me, I definitely think this one is a step in a good direction. Just the simple addition of some more flora does wonders for making the overworld feel more alive, man
You have no idea how over the moon I am that Mojang actually made pale gardens slightly bigger on average – that was my biggest criticism of the last update. Seriously, for a biome so heavily advertised on its atmosphere, it was really ridiculous how tiny most of them were. But what I'm most jazzed about is lodestones being made cheaper and more of a mid-game item than a late-game one. It always WAS kinda odd how expensive they were for what their purpose was. Maybe now I'll actually, y'know, USE them for marking important locations to come back to or explore later without needing to mark them down in a book or notepad of coordinates
Mojang is trying to nerf too much, so we end up hating the game. Maybe they are making too much money?
I'm glad they changed the lodestone recipe. The "effort vs reward" wasn't thought-out very well. Getting ancient debris is such a boring grind, why would I waste a netherite ingot to make a block?

Um yay default pigs in new clothes. They could have added a boar (or overland hoglin) which would have been appropriate for both hot & cold biomes.
