  1. I have been playing on xbox for about a year now and I can tell you that the way to really make money is to have animals and to make products from their stuff like Eggs and Milk…. Currently I have like 5 million dollars in the game from just spending a good chunk of time on my animals and crafting from those…. I love that you guys are playing this! It is so easy to get on side quests with this game…. Oh BTW if you pass out you may lose some money but not all and some times you don't lose any. Buy pizza from the saloon and carry with you in the mines to keep your health up because if you die in there you will lose items and when you start getting better weapons you will be so angry when you lose them. lol There are a million tips I could give, but I don't want to spoil the game.. The wiki is a great resource too.. Can't want to see you guys play more!

  2. the first vod i couldn't watch til the end, it made me uncomfortable. this one though was nice.

btw i don't get those small keyboards without arrow keys and numpad, they're more expensive for less keyboard.

  3. It's honestly SO STRESSFUL reading and listening to chat give the worse misinformation about the game. How are you playing the game, under the impression that the information you have is correct? Truly, how are you playing it?

  4. For optimization & chill: Get a fishing mod. The fishing mini game makes me super stressed. I like Fishing Made Easy (I only use the Fishing Difficulty portion but you can totally use this to make boat loads of cash)
    For optimization:
    Automate ToolSwap mod
Automate mod. Links a machine to an adjacent chest so you donโ€™t have reload it. In late game this is called a hopper. Just be careful not to put stuff in there that can be used when you donโ€™t want it to. (I accidentally put a chest next to my shipping bin and it sold all my stuff overnight)
Chests Anywhere mod. Links all your chests together so you donโ€™t have to worry about forgetting items when you go to Robin/Cliff to craft stuff. It also has a system to rename things for organization purposes. Late game has something similar but theyโ€™re much smaller.
Alternative Textures mod. Not needed, but it allows you to change the look of your chests so theyโ€™re easier to find. (Maybe a thing to look into in Fall because youโ€™ll need to buy a pain bucket from Robin and your inventory wonโ€™t get too crazy until later in the year.)
You can put chests & machines in shops or in town. Thereโ€™s a map for areas that arenโ€™t in village pathways. Chests donโ€™t get destroyed but machines do. I keep ores and furnaces in Clintโ€™s shop. I have two fishing trap systems (fresh water/ocean) with a bait machine, a recycling machine, and a charcoal maker.

  5. It takes a hot second to collect rare seeds and ancient seeds, but I normaly make my farm all about ancient and rare seeds, with sprinklers and auto harvesters (that you get after completing the Community Center, no rush to get these right away). Either that or I prioritize strawberry seeds in spring, blueberries in summer, and cranberries in fall. All three of those continue producing after they've grown

  6. never played this game before, but when evan just start using all the stone they had accumulated so far to shoot at goo… knew it would be a mistake.

  7. y'all should try modded stardew valley, its awesome! I recommend stardew valley expanded and ridgeside! Theres also a mod that you can use to either pause time or chamge the time, and also help with health and energy,I use CJBs mods ๐Ÿ˜„

  8. You canโ€™t fail at Stardew, play it however you want. I wouldnโ€™t worry about too much about layouts of things until youโ€™ve unlocked everything. Iโ€™d hate to be getting so much advice on a game for my first playthrough though, ruins the self discovery๐Ÿ˜‚

  9. Ooh soo good! I realized that the more I played this game the cozier it got, I swear it took me about 100-200 hours to finally not feel stressed about getting the community center done right away, and literally just being like I can do any of this later! Now I feel like I could start a million new farms and enjoy all of them because I have a better idea of what to do now

  10. My tip is place a chest by the exit of your farm to put things in for the community center and the museum. Place a chest by the mine elevator so you can drop unneeded tools before you go in and empty your pockets every time you hit an elevator.

Also that seasonal plant is just decoration you donโ€™t need to place it with your crops

  11. IMO a balance between chill and optimised is the most enjoyable. Unless you're trying to complete the community centre in year 1 (and don't try this, it requires mad strats), there's no problem with waiting until things come round again! However, it's frustrating to just miss out on something e.g. planting seeds too near the end of the season and wasting them, so it's worth planning ahead a little!

For the friendship/gifts side of the game, look at the screen that shows your friendship levels with each villager. Giving gifts they like will increase it. If you give them a gift on their birthday it's worth even more. You can give gifts twice a week per villager. There's a screen that keeps track of which gift each villager likes (only after you've tried giving it to them and seen their reaction, but it means you don't have to remember it).

You can get quests from the notice board outside Pierre's, for some extra income and friendship points.

An upgraded watering can will let you water three tiles at once.

  12. I ran out of yall videos to watch. I wanna watch the videos for membership only, but unfortunately, i can't get the membership as it's not available in my country yet ๐Ÿฅฒ
But I'm glad yall uploaded today ๐ŸŽ‰

  13. I am having a very stressful day right now and honestly, your calm voices combined with the very relaxed attitude you are showing, that really soothes me! Thank you for giving the game another try, I sincerely enjoy watching you play it! It's my absolute favorite game and I am happy that you try to play it – no matter what your feelings about it at the end will be!

  14. You can build chests anywhere, so I always keep some by Willyโ€™s to store fish, entrance of mines to store monster parts, outside of robins to store building supplies, and by Clintโ€™s to store ore, gemstones, and geodes.

  15. Maybe one day y'all can play Fields of Mistria! It's similar to Stardew Valley. It's only early access right now and it's very good so far. One day the whole thing will be out and it'll be very similar to SV but with moarrrr

  16. Funnily enough; fishing is the most profitable thing you can do early on. Fish all day, eating some of the fish to keep energy up to continue fishing. The crops you get for the first year can have low-ish return on investment (ROI) for time and money, but once you have sprinklers and large fields crops become amazing ROI, especially for time. Watering crops take a lot of time and energy, so that's the bottleneck early.

You should plant quite a few trees at the railway station and set them up with taps so you get the tree products. You'll need those for making stuff later, especially one of them for barrels (don't remember exactly which one right now)

  17. I'd like to see you try Graveyard Keeper – It's basically Stardew but you're an undertaker that harvest body parts from corpses whilst building friendships and joining cults!

Also, PLEASE check out My Time at Sandrock – it's recently been updated to support multiplayer. I spent over 200 hours in that game when it released, it's really good.

  18. I'm glad you guys are giving this game a chance! I know it can be overwhelming for your first time, especially with chat giving you all the suggestions. You guys are doing great! Just relax and have fun!

  19. There is a reason why there is a huge wiki (and a stardew book) dedicated to this game. There is a lot to get the hang of at firstโ€ฆ but once youโ€™ve got it, thatโ€™s it! The seasons repeat each year so there is no rush to do anything at all. Just go where your heart tells you and know that youโ€™ll be just fine! Thereโ€™s always next year! With time passing so fast in game, the seasons will all come back around! Just make sure youโ€™re selling some stuff so you can make money for the backpack and more seeds. (Keep some berries for energy but sell the rest. Sell a lot of the foraging stuff, Too. You really only need to keep items for the community center and for gifts to townspeople. Otherwise itโ€™s yours to sell. You can hoard it for pickling, kegs, cookingโ€ฆ but the first year is all about income!

  20. This is unrelated to Stardew Valley but: I loved your S2 Minecraft series and wanted to know your seed – In Java, you can enter command /seed to view the world's seed ๐Ÿ™‚

  21. my tip would be… please plant the ancient fruit seeds asap! some people in chat said to wait for the greenhouse because they will never die in there, but if you plant them asap you can still get some fruits before the end of fall. And then put those fruits in the seed maker and save THOSE seeds for the greenhouse, rather than starting with just 1-2 seeds. The seed maker will turn each fruit into 1-3 seeds. You'll get a head start on filling up the greenhouse with ancient fruit ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’™

  22. I feel like this should've been a no suggestions game, just figuring it out is half the fun of stardew, all the suggestions without context makes it seem like every tip is just as important when some of them really don't matter

  23. โ˜†โ˜†โ˜† For chillness/fairness:

Maybe you are trying to play vanilla, but there is a mod for multiplayer that stops time when it would normally pause in single player (both characters with open menu for example) i really recommend it!!

  24. LOL thank you guys for giving this another go! The first stream felt a bit intense, but I get that you guys are used to optimizing. This definitely felt more relaxed and like you were enjoying yourselves more. We appreciate you!!
