By the way, using a lifeforce potion will allow you to see the underflow. (Remember, lifeforce adds 20HP per 100 HP, so it subtracts -20 HP per -100 HP).
For example, -2,147,483,648 HP will become 1,717,986,928 HP with lifeforce.
Pretty sure tModLoader has a hard check for negative HP because of how Life increases are handled. Since one of tML's goals is for the vanilla files to be left unmodified (including players and worlds), it has a second HP counter that mods can change which gets stored in the TML-specific .tplr file. Because of this, I'm guessing it detects negative numbers as being corrupted or otherwise invalid data and resets it. As for why it gets reset to 500 HP, I'd expect they're assuming that massively negative HP values are a result of an overflow and thus reset back to the vanilla max health value.
man i hate it when im riding my fucking goofy ass slime queen drop and then i fucking die for no reason
0:02 what's that empress mod
What if you heal to the integer overflow and get one shot
That just sounds like a more difficult hitless challenge.
Nothing funny with nurse?
Yeah, healing's a pain. 🙃
it'd be interesting to do experiments with putting float values at Infinity, -Infinity, and NaN
would taking a healing potion or healing some other way like collecting heart dropped from enemiesss kill you at negative integer limit>
What if you drink a health potion
ok this is something ive wondered for a while and ive kind of been afraid to ask bc it feels stupid but i feel like it might be something you'd be interested in, is there a feasable way of reaching an interger over/underflow in terraria? like 2 billion is a big number but there are lots of things in terraria, what would be the most feasible way even if would take centuries to do
Terraria but sheer heart attack.
4:10 "You'll keep dying in an infinite loop" me when I cosplay Diavolo from JoJo: Golden Wind
i was listening the omori ost a few minutes ago, and now i hear a song from omori in the background, pretty epic

5:19 : Huge respect to you for testing one by one on the way down.🗿👍
3:59, "i eat children" ????
3:14, as the graph shows, wouldn’t you have positive health regen if you’re above -70 health? Is it possible to have exactly 0 regen, or is it impossible since the max health would have to be a non-integer?
