Suggestion.
How about this
If players uses a particular tool on leaf block(maybe a hoe) then it would drop leaf litter,but not this brown leaf,it would be more like the type of leaf block we break,so we get live/fresh leaf litters.And those or leaf block can be smelted into dried leaf litter(that brown one).In this way we have more variants too.Also those live leafs can be on biomes too.showing "motion" where certain one just falls while others dried off
Will look perfect with the falling leaf ambiance too

leaves should be non-transparent, stackable like a snow layers, and they should reduce the fall damage, period.
Pine needles are a form of leaf. It would have to be its own unique texture and it might end up being too much like bits of hay, though.
Farm animals only spawn on grass, that's why you don't see them around in the badlands. I would assume if you build a grass platform anywhere in the biome they would start spawning there.
I feel like the textures aren’t the final versions for the pigs and dried leaves they don’t look right

Really off topic but you should be able to take empty chests off of donkeys, llamas and mules. It's a bit annoying not being able to do so and I don't want to kill all my donkeys to get the chests.
1) Don't add new leaves for every. single. biome. Keep leaf litter for most biome, except places like spruce and blossom, give them their own custom ones.
2) Make the normal leaves have a slightly different hue depending on the biome, so there's more variation and they match the biome they are in.
Leaf litter can't be used in composter's because the leaves are dead.
I love leaves, but if they’re not seasonal (in which case they only fall in autumn and leaf blocks would also be orange), they should be green to match the biome. Anyone else agree?
What if leaf litter were to act sort of like a liquid? if we are to assume 4 leaf litter = 1 leaf litter layer and that a full block (per earlier precedent for both snow and liquid) can hold 8 layers, then we can further calculate that 1 full block can hold 32 leaf litter. Fallen leaves are notoriously unstable, however, so what if those 32 leaf litter items flowed outwards to adjacent block using fluid-flow mechanics? Maybe it only flows out to 2 blocks away, though.
Nether portals could already be auto-chunkloaded…just keep sending a minecart back and forth through one. The dimension stays loaded for 60 seconds each time something passed through, this was done to ease the lag burden of having to constantly reload the dimensional data and this was originally implemented circa when nether portals first got added to deal with forgetful players.
Smelt leaf -> Leaf litter -> Leaf litter smelts half an item -> Smelt leaf with leaf litter -> Stock Market Simulator
I think it makes sense that the leaf litter be the same because think about it no matter what leave you're talking about if they're going to be autumnized then it would make sense that no matter which leave you're talking about they're all going to be Brown. What would make more sense is the leaf particles falling that would have to be different for each type of leaf
That makes sense that the leaf litter can't be composted though. They're Dead leaves it makes sense

Leaves currently look like a fall/autumn thing. Odd seeing every leaf litter be brown.

I feel like the dry leaf litter variants are fine aside from needing a piney version for spruce; being able to craft a sort of "half-slab" leaf pile would be lovely; & I like that they burn as fuel but getting only one survived dried leaf from cooking lush ones makes sense

They should Make the leaves act like copper starting as the leaf type it falls from then slowly goes brown
I’m prettty sure I saw leaves on netherrack on the last snapshot video when you were checking out the ruined portal- it’s absolutely INSANE leaves would go on netherrack and not stone
