  1. why cant we place leaf litter on blocks that plants dont grow on yet. im actually a bit mad about this. that’s not even how leaf litter works in real life, just an unnecessary limitation.

  2. As soon as you said "former Mojang employee" my immediate thought was Henrik because any useful communication always came from him, I checked the description and I was right😅🤣

  3. ah yes lets break everyone's muscle memory and make inventory sorting significantly harder just so we can maybe in the future add like 2 or 3 extra slots to the inventory
    makes perfect sense

  4. I think it’s dumb that pigs only eat carrots and potatoes in the real world pigs would eat anything, I think pigs should be the easiest animal to farm but have the worst meat, making pigs a starter option. Pork is actually less healthy then beef or chicken so this makes sense to me.

  5. Oh the inventory redesign thing would be so nice! Especially the new way they display the number, because as it is now, some numbers i can't tell apart (namely 3 and 8) depending on the item in the slot. It also just looks so bubbly!

  6. Xisuma's points on the inventory at the end are just perfection!
People who say that adding slots won't do anything are crazy. If they're right then we should remove everything and leave only the hotbar. If removing slots is a negative, adding slots will be a positive.
Yes, its not a long term solution. We can't just keep expanding the inventory everytime it gets smaller again. But after 15+ years, so many item have been introduced that we just NEED more slots. Hotbar could easily be expanded to 12 slots (1..9,0,-,+) and inventory could get a new row plus the expanded 12 slots per row like the hotbar.
A lot of much smaller games with much less items already do player inventories like this.

  7. Mods are bout to get a whole lot more stable and I'm here for it!

This feels like a "moddng API" without disrupting any of the current modding landscape that devs of loaders like neoforge and fabric have worked countless hours on.

  8. 6:43 I wonder if you can use the new variant components to provide a different saddle texture for each mob variant, that would once again allow providing a unique saddle texture for each horse type

  9. 7:50 The best part is in PVP scenarios or just out and about at night now it'll be harder to see stuff coming from the sides all so we can have a smaller space above the screen to fit more stuff, love the completely solid, not see through hot-bar too 10/10 change that should be in Java too to further inhibit the user experience, not to mention the glorious further mouse-travel distance, I can't wait!

Sarcasm aside, the only good thing I see coming out of that is that number icons having a solid background to it so they don't blend in with the light-block's numbers.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it, this should remain Bedrock only where they need the space.

Any both-version inventory additions can have their own new menu.

  10. The new UI isn't a very good thing.
    1) Others said, it's way too wide.
    2) On servers, it'll only create a havoc, ESPECIALLY on Java.
    3) A type button such as in Bedrock IS required.

  11. Why are people so dead set on an inventory update? Bro it won’t do what you want it to do y’all gotta just drop it- along with your wild and dumb ideas for an “end update.”
