    That's not what a vertical slice is – it's a game development term. It's based on the idea of features in a game being like layers in a cake. A full horizontal slice is a very full and developed feature, but doesn't make up a full slice of cake and is thus not very good on its own. A vertical slice means that there's a little bit of every feature, even if those features have a lot of work left on them. In other words, a vertical slice is the least developed version of a game that is a fully playable game. It's incredibly rough and needs a lot of polish and extra development, but it's still a playable game (as opposed to a couple of highly polished features that doesn't actually make up to anything substantial).

    While it’s probably not AI due to the proper use of Galactic-why the hell would that title exist?

    Something like ‘Spicewood’ would probably be a project name because it doesn’t fit Minecraft’s branding in the least. The Galactic translates to ‘Vertical Slice’, which would make sense for an internal proof of concept for a new spin off…but A: why is it in Galactic if it’s a title for internal use, which is the only place something like ‘Vertical Slice’ would be. B: if it’s a title for internal use why the fuck is it so grainy even on the document itself.

    This leak reeks of being just a good photoshop. A good human-made photoshop, but just bc something’s human made doesn’t mean it’s real. Everything about it from the eye catching ‘title’ to the generically plausible stuff on the image (ah yes minecraft will get updates during the times of the year they tend to push updates) to the logic that breaks down once you pause to think.

    It’s no different from the million “I took a grainy screenshot of the new Smash Bros guys!” Posts, and it’s really sad that this thing is being pushed around the YouTube sphere with so much credit to it? Are we just…that eager to have an excuse bash Mojang? This reeks.

    2:18 this happened to me, i was playing on the latest snapshot, and while i was in the caves, literally nothing spawned, the only time they spawned was when i found a mob spawner. also the difficulty was normal
