  1. I've seen too many people not clean up their farm completely. IDK why given the fact that if they allow the weeds to keep growing, their crops will be destroyed. I remember one of my kegs got destroyed because I forgot to clear them in that area. Clearing your farm helps you move around better too. Everything you find in this game is needed for crafting, food recipes and tasks. So never sell every single thing. It'll take time, but once you learn how to play, you'll do what's right for you.

  2. I'm almost on year 16 in my game and I still get tips from the internet. Google is definitely your best friend for this game when you don't wanna find things out on your own.

The best ways to make money:

Kegs for wine, vegetable juice and green tea. They also can be used to make coffee. 3 coffees combined makes triple shot espresso, which makes you run faster.

Preserve jars make jelly and pickled vegetables.

The mill makes flour from wheat and sugar from beets.

Dehydrators make dried fruit and mushrooms.

Eggs can be turned into mayonnaise.

Milk can be turned into cheese.

Putting fish in ponds gives you roe, which can be turned into aged roe and caviar if you have sturgeon. You use preserve jars for that too.

Tree tappers can give you maple syrup, pine tar, oak resin and mysterious syrup.

You need a basement to age wine and cheese in casks. Ancient fruit, star fruit, banana, mango and pineapple wine are the most lucrative, especially when aged.

  3. You know that one recurring SNL bit with Bill Hader playing the like club promoter, stefan? Well, this game has everything! Monster hunting, dating simulation, farming, fishing, crafting, magic, mystery, EVERYTHING

  4. The directions for the arcade game are under the main window when you start, wasd to move, directional arrows to shoot, and space to use items.
If you stay up after midnight you will be tired the next day, you will pass out at 2 am even if you are out and about. If you level up in a skill then you get all of your energy back even if you get into bed right before 2 am. If you pass out while outside your home then you lose some money (for various reasons) but you wake up in your own bed.
If the area was sand before you used your hoe you can't place sprinklers there, but you can place them on that rectangle of dirt where all the large logs are. I normally skip the first level of sprinklers because I don't think you get enough out of them to be worth the materials put in and it doesn't take long to get the second type.
A bigger bag can be purchased at Pierre's shop, there are two upgrades that each grant you another inventory row.
Fishing tends to be easier if you use many small fast clicks.
You can watch tv every day. There are channels to give you hints, tell you the weather for the next day, and tell you the days luck. If it's going to rain the next day you can plan to do something without having to make time to water your crops.
Those little statues all around are places you can eventually teleport to once you find and/or learn how to make the totems.
If you talk to people and give them gifts then their friendship goes up (you can check what it's at under the heart tab). Giving someone a gift they like on their birthday is worth extra friendship. People who like you will send you gifts in the mail or send you recipes to make once you can cook.
You may notice little wiggly worms or sticks in the ground as you are walking around, you can use your hoe to dig them up for a chance to find various things. Green ones give you seeds and black ones give you a random assortment of things from artifacts for the museum/library, clay, lost books that you can read in the museum/library for more game hints and secrets, stone, and other things. You can clear the weeds, boulders, and logs from all over the town and surrounding area to open up more spots for forageables to spawn. Forageables can spawn on any tile of green grass and are free for the taking like the daffodils. Playing single player means if you chop down the trees and clear the stumps in the forest south of your farm the trees will keep growing back over time. You will soon start getting tree seeds from shaking or cutting down trees as well so you can choose where to plant them on your farm.
Beside the calendar in town there is a quest board for quests that the towns folk you have talked to will offer and you will have two days to complete them from the day they are posted.
It is a good idea to set aside one or two of each item that you can find, fish, or farm so you have them on hand in case you need them for a quest or bundle.
This game is pretty chill because even if you somehow lose all your money and have no seeds you could still fish and forage to build up some money to rebuild. Don't worry about making mistakes as it's very easy to come back from them.

Just saw you have a second vid out so hopefully some of this is still useful.

  5. I don't know how I only just found you but you're hilarious!! 🤣
"Didn't we just quit a job at Joja? Why would I shop here? Yeah, I'll be back though." 💀
    That's so me irl.

  6. I knew about stardew before playing it. Various streamers that i follow on twitch played it. But it wasn’t till the Switch had a free trial of the game where i decided to try it out! And i fell in love 😍😍😍 for a great price you get sooo much content. It was really hard to feel burn out from the game. And thanks to the latest update, i’m back to playing it again!

  7. Your demeanor is chill. This is a great video.
I've been meaning to play Stardew on my channel too.
I look forward to seeing how your farm evolves.
Maybe in the future, we could play some multiplayer Stardew.

  8. Hey man! Midwest Magic Cleaning sent me here. SDV is my 3rd most played game lol, my only advice is to take your time, talk to everyone, click on everything. I would give anything to play it for the first time again <3 Keep an eye out for Haunted Chocolatier when it's released in a couple years. Same dev

  9. Recommended by Midwest Magic Cleaning, also here because I've also just begun playing this game (years after it exploded in popularity) and am curious about your journey. Admittedly I've gotten a bit frustrated running up against storage and energy limits, which I feel makes it harder to play this game for extended periods. But am eager to learn along with you.

  10. Have fun! But you will! Myself been a gamer since the 80's but last few years haven't played any game much longer than a few hours, except for Gta5 and Cyperpunk.

With this game however, started about 3 weeks ago, already have 70 hours in and by now got a super nice comfy and cozy farm, married to one of the local girls and make about 400k a season with my little farm. Could be much more but I'm playing it to relax and not to become the richest farmer.

Either way, this game doesn't force you to do anything…that's the beauty of it. Can play it exactly how you want.
    it's insanely good and addictive.

When in real-life my kids and girl go to bed in the evening, i pick up my Switch and play for hours on end…really have to force myself to go to bed, otherwise i would be playing through the night…enjoying and improving my farm…just one more day…one more…

Dare i say it…its one of the best games ever made.

Once you get the hang of it, you'll be an expert farmer/money maker in no time!

Also, it's just fun, relaxing, designing your farm, watering your crops, feeding your animals, seeing your abandoned farm really bloom and come to life. It's truly a cozy game.

  11. While I am not into the type of gameplay of stardew valley, the thing I love about it, is that absolutely gorgeous 2D graphics. I appreciate the fact that SV shows people that a game doesn't have to be 3D to be good, and interesting.

  12. I know you've already done more episodes but to your comment about any tips. My first tips any time someone asks for it when they are new to Stardew is to just take your time, let yourself enjoy the game for what it is. There isn't really any time limit/deadline for the story progression so there is no need to stress about money.

  13. I found your channel through Mid West Magic Cleaning. Stardew is an amazing game one of the best in this genre. If you love this game you will also love Dinkum. Both games also have super amazing communities ❤

  14. Your pure intrigue and joy in the first few minutes of playing was a delight to see~ Thank you so much for the video and am hoping to see more Stardew!

  15. Here via Midwest Magic Cleaning who gave you a shout out as being great to watch. Really looking forward to someone discover all of the fun of one of my favourite ever games!
