I wonder, did you try seeing if the particles worked through carpet or something. Could we have the firefly bushes hidden but still see the particles?
Am I the only one that thinks we should be able to dye the fireflies? Because that would just be amazing and adds a lot of building options with them
Next we need chicken variants. Ducks for cold chickens. And rooster lookin chickens for warm biomes.

I love how they based the cold cow on the highland cow, it looks so cute! The firefly bush is also such a great ambient addition

I like how these new animal variants we've been getting seem to be mostly taking inspiration from specific species or breeds. In this case I believe the warm cow is based on Texas longhorns or Ankole cattle, while the cold cow is based on the highland cattle.
Only the chicken and sheep variants remain

If they continue like that, in 2 years, they'll have nothing unfinished, and then, we'll trully get JAW DROPPING features. You'll see 😉

Glad my hopes are being realized in these snapshots. I was hoping when they changed the pig it meant Mojang would give the other farm/OG mobs their own individual snapshot updates to test each one out separately. I'm expecting the chicken and sheep next, over the next month or so maybe.
Also, those new breakable bushes remind me of the ones inside the nether crimson and warped forests, so it's cool the overworld has a version of it. Lastly, while I would love a version of the firefly to still come to the game as a standalone mob/particle, seperate from that new plant, I love the look and vibe the new firefly bush gives. It's nice they're in the game at all.

i honestly love all of these changes but i would almost rather have the bush plants just be a leaf block or like a log surrounded by leaves.
Fireflies live in trees, bot bushes. I pike this change, but i still wish the fireflies would be higher up. Guess I'll have to make custum trees to get them up where they actually belong.
