What is the name of the mod or texture you use to make the grass like this?
i also think what geminitay did in her hardcore world is a fantastic idea- if you get bored, you can simply put all your tools away and travel far away and start over, where you can only go back once you achieve a specific goal! it's also a good way to help make different sections of the world
I really try to not abandon my world this time. Im just sad that i only start now, i have been playing since beta. But i got super annoyed with all the changes in terrain generation. Yes i deleted chunks for 1.17 but then i stopped playing again and now i start new^^
Love the content and always willing to challenge yourself with this world! I have gained so much inspiration from you on this world. Currently on an SMP server where I have the lore spelled out and texturing massive builds has been my challenge. So, thank you for continued push to be creative!
Hope you enjoy today's video talking about long term survival worlds.. or the new "forever world" trend people are talking about. Hopefully today's video will help you keep playing minecraft for longer than a few weeks! Share your new build ideas here in the comments if you got em!!
I’m on day 487 (I started last year) and I’m gonna build a MASSIVE mediavial mountain on day 500
I love that you're very inspiring fWhip, it's made me want to build up my S&P more like you have done with your huge medieval fantasy world!
I find your advice really helpful, but my biggest struggle right now is deciding on that major theme
I think most people watch content creator and are inspired to play, but then see how much work is done for a single 20 or 30 minutes video and realize that content creators play minecraft as their jobs, they can put it so many more hours into the game than regular people with regular jobs and schedules, so they become demotivated and just quit hopeless.
a gigantic nether tree at the wither Skeleton farm would be awesome
Hey fWhip, I love your videos! This one in particular convinced me to make a small modpack and start a new world. Which mod/resource pack did you use to make the waterfall looks so nice at 8:19?
Wow the key words ARE all there, you were right
Am I the only one that saw it said "Grecian Isles (coming soon)"?
I think an important thing to mention which isn’t something most wanna hear but Minecraft isn’t for everyone, I didn’t enjoy playing but I loved watching you sausage and Joel and this was like a two year span. Eventually my passion grew to get into the game and now I love it. Some things just take time, patience and practice.
I actually started sharing my forever world a few weeks ago, hopefully I can bring some of your advice into my series!
Honestly the rule you made about needing to be able to travel reasonably on horseback is super real. Been doing this for a couple years now and it REALLY helps. The elytra is cool but flying from point A to point B all the time tends to take the scale away from the builds you are making. Taking a horse around really changes how you think about the world, you see new areas in different ways and allows your creativity to really expand when you have that extra travel time to look around and think.
I love your videos!!! Even ones like these I can’t wait to see the next episode i’ve watched this world since the beginning and i’m so happy to see how far it’s gone. Your videos have helped me with so much!
I got a 3yo world(not hardcore) which I play whenever I want to play MC. Im 450 days in but Im not rushing anything, already did a few big projects(Gold farm, drained ocean monument) and am terraforming my spawn island rn for future use. I also got some inspiration from fWhips's builds and the world does seem that boring
Super helpful, thanks!!!
One thing I do as someone who takes time on their minecraft world but gets easily burnt out (mental health struggling), is limiting the size of "my part of the world" to an archipelago or a defined map size, so I don't overplan (I used to build many things really far apart, and making nether routes for it was useful but really boring. And taking them too.) Then I take screenshot and draw rough plans, mostly roads.
I also note any "cool idea that doesn't fit", that I keep in mind for if and when I find a place for it.
Im also just over three years into my world only around 2000 in game days. I have a creative copy with a world edit type addon that i map my ideas out in. I find it stops me from burning out as quickly if im not having to manually tear down builds multiple times as i work. Id say ive probably spent an equal amount of time in each version of my world.
I wish id started making annual maps though. Never did it before and now im not sure theres any point given how much ive already done. So id reccomend for people starting new long term builds to make maps of your base area before you start and each year after.
I had/have a forever Minecraft world, however, right now a faulty data pack transfer when I updated the world corrupted it such that I can't use certain crafting recipes. I've tried everything short of finding an old copy of the world and reverting to that. (I know I have it somewhere, it's just on a USB drive waiting to be found again.)
So in the meantime, I've started a new Minecraft world, with the aim of learning new skills, like fighting off mobs and using techniques such as texturing in my building.
Get paid and you’ll be motivated
Best advice i have ever heard on keeping a world was: „give every building a story and reason to be there, make lore from your builds and you could go on forever“
Your newest world needs a Japanese themed city
can someone please tell me what resource pack Fwhip uses for water?
Not singleplayer, but our SMP has embraced taking it slow with a limited world border putting the End off limits until we resolve a suruval competition (which has been going for 3 months now).
Eventuelly soon we'll open it up and everyone can get those sweet sweet wings and appreciate them hopefully much much more than having them on day 3.
We hot the good yapping video as he promised
I’ll watch anything you post ☺️
Bold of you to assume I get far enough in a world to have a villager trading hall and beat the ender dragon
Im on day 200 and i havnt botherd to fight the ender dragon yet tbh
But i have used fwhip as inspo as ive been trying to use different block paletes that dont usually work together and make them work 😜
