  1. Use shift to place torches, buy glowsticks from the merchant and press left control to use smart cursor – it breaks the blocks in the direction of your cursor instead of the ones its sitting on. In the house you can put however many platforms you want, but the table should sit on a block to be a valid housing. Make sure there is enough space around the table and chair.

  2. One important group of tips that I know every terraria player uses constantly is all the little helpful UI buttons. You can loot an entire chest at once, sort your inventory or a chest, quick stack to nearby chests (automatically take items from your inventory to nearby chests with the same items in them), favorite items to prevent them from being sorted, trashed, dropped, or quick stacked, and many more.

I think others have mentioned hotkeys like quick buffs or healing or smart cursor, but these are a bit different.

Also, the NPC dialogue is sometimes just flavor text. The traveling merchant doesn’t actually do anything when he says he’ll meet you behind a house.

As one last tip, just explore more. At this stage of the early game, just explore the surface for the biomes (maybe take a break from the corruption until you get some better loot) and mine ores underground. You’ve set up your basic crafting and housing, so you just need to gear up now.

  3. Hell yea! Glad to see more of you. What really kept me around is how well your videos feel despite being small. Glad to see you're starting to get the subs you deserve.

  4. (without spoilers i hope) a bit of knowledge/tips for you, check keybinds theres lots of useful things, you can mine rope to get it back, you can hover over enemies with your cursor to see how much health they have and decide if you want to fight them (if you have a choice), mushroom biomes tend to have easy chests to find but they can be more dangerous than ones in normal caves
prices will also change depending on happiness (where they live, who they live with) sorry if its kinda long

  5. a few explanations, the purple stuff in the caves was moss, enemies spawn near your character and de spawn when too far away, and the npcs that move into houses can’t move in when you are at the house they are trying to move into. By the way you got a new subscriber! these videos are fun to watch lol

  6. Terraria is T for Teen 13+ and up not like minecraft E for everyone, it is NOT for kids, there are some really good refrences in the game your gonna love (talk to the nurse a bunch when you get her to move in and you will see)

  7. You should take a second to read the info boxes that pops up when you hover over an item. Especially on new tools, armor and equipables (equipables are the ones underneath your armor in the inventory). Good going so far!

  8. some tips if you press shift/control you switch from destroying nearby blocks that is useful to mine to destroying blocks you have your crosshair on, you can heal yourself pressing H with the potions you have in your inventory also try to explore more map on the surface cause there are some structures with chests in it the most important one is a giant temple with an old man at the entrance hope this helps

  9. Tips from me
    1. Definitely explore more, you will find so many more amazing things, especially deep underground.
    2. Go through your controls menu, you will discover some very helpful things there.
    3. There is a option you can turn on that will help you mine better, aswell as one that will allow you to auto swing so you dont have to click everytime.
    4. You can get fruit from trees, fruit will lightly increase your general stats, including speed.
    5. make sure to read the descriptions of every accessory you get so that you know what it does.

Have fun! Been loving the series so far 🙂

P.s. also pls dont call it 2D Minecraft. That is considered greatly offensive to the Terraria community.

  10. Well, you are learning, but you threw out a useful item to hold onto for later XD and really? Running into the corruption at NIGHT this early on? XD And awww, you ran into bad Subnautica people and quit? Watching people play that first time is GOLD.

  11. Something that I dont see many people saying is that you can make a bad and is extreme helpfull, when you sleep in the bad the world time goes really fast and night time ends in like 5 or 6 minutes (sorry for my english Im brazillian)

  12. Hello a guy who's played Terraria since 2014 here with 7k+ hours.
I'm mainly a builder and like to build, it's very important to check if the house you made is valid, to check press the house icon above the vanity slot and click on the house.
Also you need like 4 solid blocks on a floor for it to be a valid house, meaning if you make a multi story house you need to make sure each of the floors have some solid floor not all platforms.

Also another tip is to take your time and build a lot of epic houses, it's not very satisfying having done everything just for the world you did it all in to look like a dump. My number 1 tip for building is once you unlock paint use it (I won't spoil why, just trust me and you'll fall in love with paint like I did).

  13. been loving these vids of u playing terraria, cant wait to watch u progress more 🙂 my tip is to just keep exploring both the surface and the underground, theres a lottt to discover!
