Terraria Yoyo Tier List and Comparison – Terraria 1.4.4.9

Yoyos are melee weapons that can be thrown and seek after the player’s cursor when used. Once deployed, a yoyo will stay in the air for up to a certain maximum flight time which varies per yoyo. Yoyos can be acquired in several different ways, including from crafting, as rare drops from enemies, and as merchandise from certain NPCs.

All yoyos deal 25% less damage if at least one solid block is between the yoyo and its user. Checking if the string overlaps any blocks is a good way to tell if the yoyo’s damage is reduced. The remaining flight time of a yoyo is decreased by 1/3 of a second every time it strikes an enemy. Flight time is decreased by a full second instead of only one third if the yoyo has its damage reduced by being out of line of sight. There are currently 21 different types of yoyos and everything will be covered in full along with a list of levels and progression, thank you 🙂

    It's a Yoyo video so I'm dumping my rant anyway lol
    Yoyos in this game makes me sad, these were the ones that catched my eyes back in the 1.3 days,
    they feel like the perfect answer for something unique for melee and still these got the short end of the stick.

    The progression of yoyos is so weird, lot of them just being in a store or just dropped randomly, specially the latter, it's funny how the only yoyo that requires silk for one is for the goddamn wooden yoyo and the rest of the few crafteable ones don't need it lmao.

    Going back to the first point, not even that here, literally all of them except only 4 (2 if we take the status effects ones out) have a proyectile of some sort, the bee one that got added last update… the only new yoyo after almost a decade… and the one that you get when you kill moonlord, you know, the end of the game… who tf cares about the terrarian damn. (seriously why tf do swords have more variety of effects than something crazy like goddamn yoyos, like, please)

    Basically at this point I'm just asking for a Melee rework part 2 of some sort just for the sake of these bumass weapons…
    they're still are unique, but left behind reaaally hard.
