Also I’m gonna copy and paste this description from a big youtuber because SHEEEEESH MY VIEWS WENT CRAZY for like literally 1 month or so but for some reason I still copy/paste this on every video although I’m sure by now it actually doesn’t do anything but oh well

This Minecraft but challenge makes the funniest Minecraft videos without any funny Minecraft mods! Somehow this is the NEW funniest Minecraft video / tiktok / short ever! Instead of any other Minecraft challenge in Minecraft 1.16.5, this is a Minecraft video in Minecraft 1.18 in 2023

  1. This is maybe most inefficient staircase available in survival, but with commands its possible to make even more inefficient staircase using shulker mob by spawning them by 0,001 higher every block

  2. Isnt soul sand better because i thought it wasnt a full block, and if it is, it would be less efficant than diamond for walking because it slows you down

  3. By definition this wouldn't be inefficient unless the goal of using a staircase is purely to go up. Most places yes staircases are just alternative to elevators, however staircases can also be used to get to a destination regardless of height.

  4. No it wouldn't.

The max height of a typical Minecraft world as of 1.18 is 320 blocks.

Since this staircase takes you from y=-60, this adds 60 more blocks to the total staircase height making it 380 blocks.

Since it takes 17 blocks in the X dimension to travel 1 block in the Y dimension, it will take 6,460 blocks in total to reach the build limit.

If travelling 17 blocks takes 5 seconds, we know that it will take 0.294 seconds to travel up by 1 block by dividing the seconds by the blocks. If we multiply this value by the blocks we have in total, we get 1900 seconds to travel up the staircase. By dividing this by 60 to get the minutes, we get 31 minutes and 40 seconds. (A simplified version of this is ht/60 where h is the height of the staircase and t is the time it would take to travel up by 1 block for every 17 blocks)
