  1. I dont wanna take credit, but I told sodor to give you guys a new video as a valentines day present to me just so I can hear her yap about stardew

  2. Couldn't have been a better kind of day to post this sort of video. Atleast don't leave your shorts behind like that, Lewis, you never know when someone might take advantage of what they know you and Marnie are up to😏.

  3. Pierre would probably be the one to raise a stink about Marnie possibly getting tax breaks, but depending on when you see the event there's another entity that might take issue. A certain big blue entity that would make Lewis walk on egg shells.

  4. Remember lads, if he cant even come over to pick up his lucky purple shorts- he aint for you.

Awesome video! I have generally believed it was either just the fear of losing the bachelor life/ fear of commitment or his fear of losing the position that has kept lewis from marnie. I dont think a single person in pelican town would be upset over them eventually marrying if they were to. The tax thing maybe but it would be so easily proven wrong with records that it could be overlooked. I think pelican town is close enough to want marnie and lewis to be happy rather than hiding their relationship.
Its a shame hes so afraid of losing his position, I do think he genuinely cares about his town, but stringing marnie along just isnt fair. Either commit or
Cut her loose so she can have that freedom.

    Happy valentines day sodor ❤❤

  5. I think Lewis could be getting the farmer into the whole drama thing because we have replaced our grandpa at some point, and as we know they were close friends ( Lewis states that sometimes) i think he may see us as someone simmilar to his old friend which could be why he trusts us with the task

  6. While you make some compelling arguments in favor of Lewis being not so bad a guy aaand have definitely opened my eyes to him and his situation being more complicated that I'm generally willing to admit, the gold statue and failing infrastructure is a connection I just can't let go of. Misappropriation of public funds is a big accusation but I don't have a lot of faith in elected officials these days.

And I still think he wants to sell the community center, but doesn't want to be seen as pushing for it because it could negatively impact his reputation.

Man, even if he didn't use the town's taxes to pay for it the extravagantly egotistical nature of the project combined with again the failing infrastructure it's a conclusion that's hard to avoid and would definitely lead to concerns from the citizens and yeah, probably competition in the next election which considering the significance of the accusation he'd almost certainly lose.

Yeah, his situation is definitely more complicated than I give him credit for, but presiding over the decline of Pelican Town isn't a good look either.

  7. Nah, it's just Marnie is the only person who wants fun time with him, and in a small little town neither has many options, maybe she isn't his type or maybe he just doesn't want to get married, but all I know is that Marnie could do better.

  8. I love that you try to put a positive spin on things! The weird edgy slant the fandom puts on things can be pretty draining sometimes.

That said, I'm not sure I buy this one. Lewis has only been mayor for maybe 25 years. That's a long time, sure, but he must have had something before that, possibly within the player character's lifetime. He wouldn't be losing "everything"

I think Lewis is afraid of change – maybe due to his age, maybe due to joja – and just takes marnie for granted. Not malicious, just thoughtless. He trusts the player because we remind him of his old friend Grandpa, and having us around is a reminder of the Good Old Days

  9. I like this take a lot. It makes Lewis more sympathetic than the version the fandom has of him, who is just a corrupt person and someone who only uses Marnie for sexual gratification.

  10. Lewis is a funny creature because while I like him he would be tough to be friends with irl. Truthfully I feel sorry for him, he over identifies with his job and places it above his relationships. I never considered him and Marnie to be on the rocks and him not being able to go over….that's rough.

I have a soft spot for Lewis like I have for Pierre. There's lots of reasons why he wouldn't want to reveal being with Marnie but the truth is that he's too entrenched in being a mayor. It's his talisman and his purpose, if something happens to that then his life would be empty. I don't blab and I don't mess with the shorts because that's bullying a vulnerable old person.

  11. I think the reason he want is to bring hım his purple shorts because we are still a stranger to the Town. So he think we are just do what he say for money and don't ask him a question. Also i don't think he end up his releatinship with Marnie he just doesn't want things to get bigger.
Nevermind i don't like Marnie nor Lewis. I wish in future this game give Marlon a bigger role and we have a better drama. 😁
