  1. Heya! as someone who's worked for Doctor4t i think i have a pretty solid opinion/view on the matter of monetising mods, so let's talk about that!

First off, the mods aren't monetised in a traditional sense. Acess to most/all of these mods shown is given as a bonus for supporting RAT/Lux on Ko-Fi; fundamentally most of these mods aren't finished, were silly one-offs, don't function properly in survival, etc. In general, these mods are "paywalled" not because you purchase the mods directly like you do chocolate from a grocery store, but instead the access to these mods is an exclusive "thank you!" to supporters on Ko-Fi. Think of it like a giftcard your neighbour gives you to thank you for fixing his roof. It's a bonus for supporters, not a proper trade of goods or fully fleshed out product.

All of this is also ignoring the fact that RAT released two of his most anticipated mods completely for free, being Defile and Arsenal. Granted, yes, there are still paid features of the mods, but they are purely cosmetic and again, only a "thank you" to supporters and not an intentional selling point.

i can 100% understand why paying for a game and then needing to pay for a mod can be frustrating/annoying, but with these mods and the creators behind them in particular you'll need to understand that all of the mods shown aren't in a state that the creators are comfortable releasing to the public, nor should they be pressured into doing so as they've talked about this subject many-a-time, Doctor4t especially.

    Thank you for reading! 💚

  2. 5:18 basically, whenever a sheep eats grass, diorite around it explode

Also credit for the mods i know

    Expedition by DoctorR4t on YouTube
    Explosive ideas also by DoctorR4t
Defile by DoctorR4t as an extension to Befoul by Luxintrus on YouTube
    Elysium by Diansu on YouTube
Endless by Luxintrus it's not completed yet though
    Amarite by Windsweep on YouTube
And well yeah Befoul by Luxintrus

  3. expedition gets a f Maybe it's one of Doctor Rat's least cool Mods But I don't like the fact that you have to pay for a flying car that doesn't go even decently fast my favorite mod of his would be the ink one

  4. 0:26 this mod was made by doctorrat and he explained on his second channel that the only reason why some of his mods are paywalled is because they are unstable or still in development, most of his mods are free to use

  5. you forgot reach for the stars by DocorR4t, the same person who made the airship at the beginning, mod is missing stuff from what it was meant due to use of a library that isnt publically available but its still really cool, its honestly easy to forget that you are in minecraft

  6. it takes their own money sometimes, and they need money to keep getting all these resources, servers, mods, apis, and they are ALSO HUMANS who live in the hellhole that is earth right now, you are not only one wondering if you can afford eggs and rent this month, they need money too
