Is Terraria’s Forbidden Armor OVERLOOKED?
In this video I investigate whether or not it is worth using Forbidden armor, and how it compares to other armor sets obtained in the Hardmode stage of Terraria, namely the Adamantite Armor and Spider Armor.

i like it but i never get desert storms by the time a sandstorm comes ive already killed the mechs 😓
This is my favourite set in the game, it is actually so good since a mage + summoner hybrid is very easy to use unlike melee + ranger
the vidio is very entertaining so were are the other veiw i wached it 4 times so only nine non me veiws thats just sad

This armor set and crystal are really underrated armor sets in the game
You have to grind sandstorm and must become hybrid and it's only use against destroyer.
The bonus against the Prime and the twins, I don't think many people know how to optimize the boss movement and it's risky for them. still useful for speedkiller.
if you don't want to grind sandstorm and don't know how to use the bonus properly except against the destroyer then I recommend just go for full Adam headgear armor and use summon potion, witched table, Pygmy necklace for it. Firecracker/cool whip to enchant minions damage and inflict ichor flask debuff. Not just that you can also use mana regeneration potion and when your mana ran out just switch to whip until the mana regret back to full.
Worth it for Hybird mage + summoner and know how to use the bonus agajnst twins and prime.
Not worth it for class lock.

yeah, well said. its a great armor with no clear downside if you look at it by itself, but the other options are simply better stats-wise and significantly easier to obtain than it. not many people are gonna try to get forbidden armor for a slight dps boost

In almost every play-through I want to try out forbidden armor and/or spirit flame.
Every time I end up skipping them because if you don't like fishing it's impossible to know when a sandstorm is happening if you're not in a desert which makes getting forbidden fragments into a really dumb waiting game, while I can instead get any of the easier-to-get early hardmode items that'll allow me to take on the mechbosses and get better gear anyway. There are actually quite a few other terraria items I end up rarely or never using simply because getting them takes so long that you'll get to the next stage of progression before getting them.

Currently trying to beat mastermode for the first time, and as a Summoner I was struggeling at first with spider armor against queen slime to get the knives. Eventually decided ot get myself adamantite headhear with my spider armor which made the fight so much easier.
As a mage/summoner main, this is just my go to every time
Forbidden armor has been my favorite set for ages! It has an interesting way to obtain it (though it can suck if you dont get a sandstorm for a while), it has one off the most unique set bonuses in the game, and it also looks super cool
