Nitwit #1 didn't just die. It was a murder. I'm making an educated guess because mobs don't just walk. they have a block they try to get to and there's no block they can walk on in that space they just won't move but since it was air in the block that Nitwit #1 fell he wouldn't of walked there. So, therefor Nitwit #1 didn't just die. they were murdered. But hey. That's just a theory…

Hey Dan! By the way, you don't need Frost Walker leather boots for snow. You can use Frost Walker for any other boot, or regular leather boots
Hey Dan, to closely answer your question on the "golden" chicken is this(preface this is all a guess).
So Dan, you have seen baby zombies atop chicken with can spawn in the nether.
Baby piglins can also spawn atop chickens.
Now, from where you found it, my guess is that the zombie/piglin spawn in the block above the chicken, thus suffocating it, and leaving just the chicken.
And I don't know much about the variants spawns, but I guess the nether, as also your observation, it's probably counts as warm, thus spawning your "golden" chicken. Anyways, I love the vid!
You should revisit the lab I think it would be cool!

Can you use a resource pack to have the glass join together? Would be much better looking
To fit with you industrial theme, you could use two leavers and a chain to create a bar on a wall! you place one leaver at the top flipped down, chains in the middle and then another leaver at the bottom flipped up. It could be a cool decoration you could add to your build

Two suggestions for you Dan
1st. if you put a haybale under a campfire the smoke goes higher
2nd. You can use lightning rods to make some industrial pipelines or wires

You can actually make lava Farms
Place a glass block and a bucketfull of lava ontop of the glass and entrap the lava.
Place a Dripstone below the glass block and you will notice that drops of lava start dripping.
Then to collect the lava place a couldren under it.
Boom infinite lava.

U should make an infinite lava farm by putting lava on top of a block and drip stone under the block with a cauldron
dan needs stairs in his build to give him the look he wants and a strip in the middle of the roof too show that it's there

Maybe adding dyes in the glass on the roof in green and orange would look good
You can make a basalt generator by making a cobblestone generator and putting a block of packed ice underneath where the cobblestone would form. A safer option than the nether lol
Dan,just so you know mThat is not the treasure room,i think you only get a treasure room in a treasure bastion where its right in the middle surrounded by magma cubes and lava
