They should have drops be a Letter system. 1.21.4-A,B,C etc. And major updates 1.21, 1.22. Minor fixes, 1.21.1, 1.21.2
Maybe we are getting a 1.22 update because the live is on the 22?? Or am I reaching to far?
As for Minecraft spin-off games I don’t think I will be purchasing them since they abandon them after such a short period of time
I feel like the spring drop is to update the warm biomes, and the drop at the end of the year will update the cold biomes.

The problem with calling drops updates and 1.22 is that like you said yourself, the drops are not intensive at all, they're small things, artwork, it would not make sense to advertise them as updates if they're not putting nearly as many things in a drop as they do in an actual update, people would start comparing and it would actually do worse in a marketing point, it's better for convenience but it causes a lot of problems, I think it's a lot more likely they just start numbering the drops in a separate list entirely, like drop 1, drop 2 and so on

What adds to the confusion with the version numbering is the general public doesn't understand what the numbers mean. This numbering convention is called semantic versioning and the numbers mean major.minor.patch. The major version for Minecraft is 1. The minor version (21) changing implies features changing. Lastly, the patch version typically is very small changes or bug fixes. Since the codebases are different between java and bedrock, having only the first two numbers (major and minor, 1.21) match is enough to say they are well aligned. Each codebase has its own assortment of bugs specific to the version so the patch number matching doesn't actually make sense. I've been hearing other youtubers also saying "we're running out of numbers" but that's not true. Semantic versioning doesn't really have a predefined cap. So 1.21.1001 is completely a realistic possibility, it all just depends how many patches get released.

I personally don’t care about this spring drop. Its a little cool but its SO SMALL, which is ironic bc Bundles of Bravery the smallest drop was more important for me because of the bundle. But how does this change/add functionality? Nada. Squat. Im happy we still get free updates/drops but come on Mojang. I really like the Garden Awakens tho!
