I think Stardew has a problem with representation overall. George is the token disabled person with all his cutscenes revolving around it, Demetrius is the only man of colour in the game and he’s an over protective father, and don’t get me started on no nonbinary option after 9 years of the game existing..
I'll always love Kent. He literally has a quest asking the farmer for a star fruit for his and jodi's anniversary since she apparently likes it. I have never seen the other dads mention their wedding anniversary.

Kent is honestly my favorite, he cares about his family but he's going through a lot dealing with being back. Wish we could have more insight on how he was beforehand.
And I could listen to jabs about Pierre all day- I don't even hate him but the jokes are just too easy 🤡

GASP. ITS TIME.
I have stuff I can do and stuff I can't, so I see some things from both sides on the disability issue… While I'm not quite as grouchy as George, I do hate it when people decide I need help but, as you imply, it's rarely worth the frustration of dealing with the emotions of someone who didn't stop to think about mine before theirs.
When I am in a position I can help someone who, in my opinion, needs it, I ask them if they'll let me help. It helps deflect the "I don't want to be a bother" response by framing it (successfully, I hope) as them doing me the favor of being allowed to do something. Sometimes it falls very flat, other times it has a nice response. YMMV.
