I kind of love that shimmer buckets are an endgame item, it means you have to be really creative if you want to move the shimmer around. Once in a pre-skeletron multiplayer world, I redesigned the whole aether biome to give it smaller shimmer pockets, inspired by a shimmer build I once saw on your channel. The other players were scared the whole time that I would mess up moving the shimmer and accidentally drain it all into the underworld lol
Shimmer fishing could have been a cool concept, perhaps you would need the chromatic cloak to fish in shimmer, and that would let it naturally be locked to hardmode

Dude this channel is so awesome but I forgot about it
The Statue critters also applies to any statue enemies! I learned this when attempting to get a Shimmer Slime banner for my slime banmer collection. Had to get a shadow candle (since I had a town set up there) to allow some black and mother slimes to spawn and dip in instead.
Fishing makes you phase😂 a little good prank right there😂❤ i mean,if the game conviced your friend that he can fish in lava why not in shimmer right😁

When I enter the the shimmer, I turn into a faelure
here i was scrooling as i wait for my rice to cook. find this went "khaios post thats recent?' then the shimmered BRICKS that god had shot a few seconds ago then connect with my skull and body turning me into a mist for a moment made me realize hes back! i see life was not kind but the strong move forward. hope the chickens are ok given that fire some days ago given i poked for a community post expling the return. with that post being my headliner. now im tempted to return to terraria overhaul and see what it does with shimmer…
