The jump from pre-hard mode to hard mode is arguably the hardest and most overwhelming part of the game. The weapons you’ve collected that destroyed pre-hard mode deal minimal damage to the new enemies, and said new enemies deal more damage than bosses and kill you in seconds. The evil biomes spread, the Hallow appears, and there are so many things you have to do that it’s hard to know where to start.

Assuming that there's no "Post-Mech" part in Terraria (technically it does exist, but still belongs to Hardmode), Pre-Plantera tips may also be included.

Can you do a video of what to do after moonlord? I know there’s secret seeds and stuff but I wan’t to know if there’s still stuff on my world I can do because I don’t like abandoning worlds as soon as a beat the ml
The only thing I would change is swaping 2 and 3, getting better ores first then grinding for wepons.

me, several hundred hours of playtime and still struggling to deciding what to do the begining of hardmode: hm yes wonderful
Butterfly wings are not early hardmode, you have to kill at least one mech boss to moth drop it.
you need to kill at least 1 mechanical boss to obtain butterfly dust

AFAIK butterfly wings are post mech. ice or harpy wings are other options that are just as good as fairy and are viable, if you happen to get a giant feather while farming wyverns or even in prehardmode, or if you want frost armor/cool whip and happen to get an ice feather.
i feel blessed being one of the few that gets to see this quality content ✨
