The Calamity Mod is a large content mod for Terraria which adds many hours of endgame content and dozens of enemies and bosses dispersed throughout the vanilla game’s progression. The Calamity Mod also features several harder difficulty modes, such as Death mode and revengeance mode five new biomes and new structures, a new class, a new leveling mechanic, more than thirty new songs, over fifty recipes for previously uncraftable vanilla items and other assorted changes to vanilla gameplay.

  1. Ngl, this has the potential to surpass calamity in EVERY WAY if this mod rework everything.

    This might be what's needed for vanila calamity to stop sitting o their laurels. Or Fables will eventually be the new definitive way to play calamity, and I would be down! 🙂

  2. This mod is actually phenomenal. I love calamity but it feels like this is a "truer" version of calamity I guess? Absolutely love all of the new content they added. Hope to see more in the future!!

  3. As an fnf fan, I have anxiety about mods and fanmade projects getting cancelled.
    I love the new designs, already 10x better than base calamity. I just don't know how to feel about the music.

  4. I love that the soundtrack is more in line with the style of the vanilla Terraria soundtrack! As much as I like DM Dokuro's work for the game, it does sound like it should belong to a different game.

  5. I love the calamity mod. I believe they need a bigger dev-team because they can't keep up with the addons. It's literally almost been a year since their last content update, which is understandable, however it seems like a lot of other developers are making cool content, faster, with less money. I'm rooting for you calamity devs, you can do this!

  6. Overhaul this mod is… Different from calamity, calamity changes everything about terraria progression and balance while Fables works on base terraria not making such radicals changes like adding a new class or difficulty.

    Is this bad? Absolutely not, this may actually be better to the devs, since they don't need to tweak vanilla stuff that much leading to a bigger focus on adding stuff.

    I have to say tho the way they implemented the visuals is insane! You know something i love about the two summonable bosses? Is that it's possible to unknowably aggravate them! In the desert sometimes the larvas will spawn on their own and if left alone Scourge attacks! With Crabulon he sometimes pops his head around when your in the mushroom biome and if you attack it the fight starts!

    Well, from this we can only wait and see the masterpiece that will come from this mod, calamity fables as a big journey ahead to get to the level of content that calamity as!

  9. Hi idk if this is possible but would be cool if Wulfrum Scrapyyard could work on cooldown i mean if u clear this and take chest it will fully respawn in 1-5 days or how u config it

  10. ngl, i'd choose this over calamity mod any day. I have nothing personal against calamity mod, but it just feels like a bloated mess full of bosses, items and features included in the mod just for the sake of having them. Waiting eagerly to see where the devs of Fables take the project to.
