  1. I love how the lego movie is the standard, its absolutely amazing

    Looks away for 5 seconds
    Forgets that I commented this
    Looks back
What do you mean phoenix pinned my comment?
WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT HAS OVER 400 LIKES?

  2. The moment they said from the start that it was ganna be a live action i knew it was gonna be a flop.

The whole appeal of Minecraft is that it is squares, cube and pixel. And they just completely ignored that by adding real people in it.

All of that waiting for this, man we can't have nice things.

  3. Bringing up the Lego Movie made me realize the reason why that movie did so well. It came with the assumption that everyone watching it understood what was in the movie. None of the side characters or items/materials had ANY sort of exposition. They all were written assuming the viewer understood the general idea or identity of each character and item.

Minecraft movie probably would've been much better if Steve had been a bit more of a pro, and maybe if there were less moments about discovering everything we already know as players, it would've connected more with the fanbase that actually watched this film.

Welp, most people wanted an animated "Egg's Guide To Minecraft"-esque film anyways.

  4. If I had to put the Minecraft movie on a tierlist of video game movies, it would be right in the center, separating this new era of good videogame based movies from the terrible ones from the 80s and 90s.

  5. Spoiler !!!!!!

    Dumbest moment:
Henry holds the crystal which they need to get home* (It's obvious)
Steven: DID YOU FIND THE CRYSTAL???!?!?

  6. If they really did have to go for the “Jumanji features showcase” I just wish they made the kids the knowledgeable ones teaching the adults things, like I just love the thought of an adult freaking out as a kid says “Oh my god I’ve always wanted to do this!” And starts furiously punching a tree

  7. I am just out of a screening in France. I agree with you on the entire line. It got me to laugh twice but the over the top writting and acting was just too much at some point. I really enjoyed some of the reference like the legend one (no spoiler here).

It was alright it untertained me and that's all I cared about !

  8. i think that since the game is so old , the movie should have been made for everyone to enjoy this felt too childish it felt like it was trying to explain the game to a new audience rather than being a good movie for the old fans
but thank you for actually criticizing the movie. at first people hated on it and then switched up and now every where I say that I didn't enjoy it people start attacking me and calling me a loser for caring about it because it's a "kids movie and shouldn't be criticized"

  9. I was super angry when it wasn't animated. Now… I've got a whole friend group put together to go see it next friday SO 🤣🤣
It's going to be so bad it's good.
