    the mannequin skin style is used for actually rendering the mannequin furniture items
    you can prove this by editing them with a resource pack

    actually, the mannequin styles are used, by the mannequins. In 1.4 they overhauled how they display so you can equip accessories so they made a full spritesheet set so stuff layers properly.

    On old mobile, I saved worlds with the unused mythical wyvern and exploding snowman. It was funny getting ambushed immediately by the wyvern on load.

    me loading into a world only to find out that my friend decided to prank me by transmuting every npc into empress of light (it's 4:30 am)

    In old gen console and mobile versions of Terraria, out of bounds hairs would display projectile sprites on your head. I used a memory editor on the 3DS version to obtain them. Some significant ones I remember were the Dark Lance, some small sprite which I believe to be the Magic Missile projectile, and a boulder. They also got tinted based on your hair color.
