Ranking Every Boss Theme in Terraria

In this video I will be ranking every boss theme/song in Terraria.

I love videogame music, and Terraria has one of the most recognizable videogame sound tracks ever. The boss fight themes in particular are impressive, so I thought it would be fun to go over them and rank them in tier list format from best to worst. This ranking video was really fun to record and I think my ratings are pretty accurate, so make sure to watch all the way through.

0:00 Intro

  1. Not going to lie, I like terraria soundtrack, but I don't understand people who think it's better than Calamitys soundtrack- not saying anyone is "wrong" for thinking that. Its just something i have a hard time seeing

  2. Eater of Worlds not having any real build up makes sence, as while the start if the fight is hectic, the fight tends to calm down as you go.

Also my C teir is Queen Slime, Duke Fishron, and Boss 3. Because those are not boss themes, they are invention themes. With how slow they are

  3. why did you just skip queen bee?
also golem/cultist use boss 5 and queen bee uses boss 4 iirc
mechdusa also uses otherworld boss 1 for some reason if you really wanted to include her

  4. i like the new twins theme a lot, though i do see why many people dont

ive said this on this channel before but i dont understand why people think the twins are "fast paced" or "hectic" when the destroyer and its probes fit both of those bills more than they do. at first it will seem like dodging two eyes with unique attacks can be overwhelming, but mechanically and design wise the Twins are actually mostly position heavy and mainly focused on patiently watching their attack pattern and adapting yours to that in a surprisingly structured manner compared to the other two mechs. this is even seen in chippy's fight against them in the song video.

In this regard, the new twins theme being slower and structured fits perfectly with the most consistent of the three mechs, listening to the slow but powerful percussion as you time your ascent to when Retinazor performs his laser barrage or your dash when spazmatism is about to dash toward you

  5. Idk, i like the terraria music ig, but even though its my favourite game, id say that none of the soundtracks are anything too special, i dont like when people say that its better than something like undertale or calamity music, no not even close
Plantera's theme would've been b tier if it was on the scale of calamity mod

  6. I always like how different people like different music. Boss 2 is a B tier for me but hearing you get so hyped about it is really cool.

  7. The Twins is commonly the first mech boss people discover naturally on a blind playthrough, which makes their new theme so much better because it gives that feel of "WHAT THE F__K IS THAT," especially when they reach their second phase.

The Twins are the perfect first mech boss, even if they are the hardest of the three.

  8. Alright, I think I'm going to offend half of the community with my opinion and I'm aware of the consequences but I will still share it. The plantera theme is absolutely MID. Yeah yeah it's cool, it has a hard somewhat metal vibe with an 8 bit touch but seriously, it doesn't seem appealing to me, at all. I have done music production before so I know that this track is a bit empty. It's just lack luster

In my opinion Boss 3 and the Empress theme are much better. They don't feel empty and have a good synergy with their respective bosses. Unlike Plantera
