also you should try to plan for strawberries, they're by far the most profitable crop in spring so the first 12 days should be optimised to have as much money as possible by the egg festival. you don't need to be perfect but you shouldn't buy any seeds that won't grow in time and it's best not to spend money on anything else, also you should till and water before going to the festival so you can quickly plant them before sleeping, and by using basic fertiliser you can squeeze a third harvest before the end of spring
Every time I start a new game I remind myself: sell most of the crops! Because in early game you don't make any money if you hoard all your crops for processing (which you dont have the tools for yet!)

it's also worth noting that mixed seeds are used in very useful recipes, like fiber seeds you'll most likely need later on
