Yeah not gonna lie the people complaining are ignorant also I do love the good ol days of Minecraft truly great times than when the game was simple and not filled with people complaining :/
I've been playing the game for 12 years and I haven't done portfowarding once. Cuz when I tried to do it, I got my internet hacked… So I've been sticking to Essential, which has micro transaction but you can get around them
I only use essentials bc theres one to many mods that need certain menus that idk how to reach, BUT GUESS WHAT??? i actually reasurch the simplest ways to run things bc i don't have a gaming laptop so kinda have to stick to simple. Guess what kids? Its not that hard to GOOGLE SEARCH. Like we have this magical thing called the internet where if you don't understand something then just find someone who does. Not that hard to do now compared to when minecraft was first around and things like forge didn’t exist
As someone who used both Java servers and essential, I’d say it’s exaggerating to say setting up a server is hard, but the reason many use essential is bc it’s more convenient as it does it with a click of a button, and it doesn’t charge you for the service, just the cosmetics (idk who in their right mind would buy them tho)
And you can just ignore that mod, it just adds bedrock features like in menu skin changing, friends, Money. It just what bedrock does with single player but better
Creating a sever is stupid easy, the confusing part is setting it up properly. How does one use an already world. How does one know all the commands for setting the gamerules and the such. How does one not leak their IP address (i believe the answer is a seed box).

Use e4mc it does what essential does but only the sharing worlds part and only the host needs it, everyone else can play vinilla
