  1. Prime example of inshitification. Promote creativity but if you do it in not the way they imagine, bye bye. Fixing things that aren't broken.
    PvP and technical minecraft has been struggling for awhile. They are just putting final nails in a coffin. They proved how out of touch they are with the recent snapshots.
    Just add more eye candy for the children. Milk the loyalists. Screw over the dedicated.
    I haven't played regularly since 1.19… I have over 12300 hours logged with multimc… I just can't force myself to come back to a supposedly "minimalist" game that's targeted towards children and not creativity.
    Hard for me to move on from what was a large part of my life. Like all things. It never lasts.
    I hope hytale puts mojang in the grave whenever it releases.

  2. This should be implemented as a gamerule if they do 'revert' it, because as a vanilla PvE player, this is only a positive change. You try getting full netherite without stacked blast prot.

    182,000 people in that community versus 300 million copies sold. It's a similar argument as balance changes being made in Pokémon. The competitive community is a small but vocal minority, and the games are going to focus more on making their core players happy. Those competitive players either design their own rulesets or play within rulesets designed by the developers to balance the competitive game after the fact.

  3. Honestly, while this change is generally good for the general users if they use the fire and blast proc enchants.
    I can see why the pvp community don't like it, since knockback is important to get away or buy time for potions and healing.
    And fire resistance causing fire damage to be barely there isn't really a good idea, as players should know to be careful around those… Plus Fire res potion exists for a reason.

  4. w video one thing tho imo they should just change double blast prot and keep fire prot the way it is since we dont care abt that anyways (i do play crystal and i hope they change it)

  5. I'm still salty about the crouch speed change, since couldn't they just have increased the base crouch speed to compensate for it?

    On the other hand, if Mojang made Vanilla more modifiable without mod loaders and even encouraged players to revert these kind of changes by them selves when they come, it could help a lot too! It doesn't have to be that or this, if it could be everything per player or server preference!

  6. they could make blast protection take 25% instead of 15 or 60. that way you CAN get no kb, but you have to have all blast protection to do so which makes it non viable

  7. There is a problem in Bedrock Edition that is caused by the (not so new by now) graphics engine RenderDragon that causes mouse input lag on older devices. The devs that commented on the report in the bug tracker pretended that they cared about it and that they were paying attention to it and working on fixing it, they didn't fix it, and they changed the status of the issue to "resolved" anyway. It is issue MCPE-98861 if you want to check in the bug tracker.

  8. jesus christ, just limit it so you can only wear one piece of blast prot in crystal pvp. it's ALREADY A REGULATED FORMAT considering you have swords-only and the likes IN THE VIDEO. of the 350 MILLON players that own minecraft, the 180 thousand in that discord is literally less than a percent of a percent of the playerbase. if you are already playing a fan made pvp format, just add some goddamn rules so it's fun considering you were ALREADY DOING THAT ANYWAY.

  9. Knockback does add a layer of nuance to the game. At the same time, it's not something I've really enjoyed in most online PvP settings.
    Usually because internet latency leads me feeling inconsistent feedback from knockback.
    You hit someone, you have to wait for the server to register and update the opponent's hitbox and return that to your client. It feels like you didn't do enough knockback on your end.
    You get hit by someone. Your client rushes to match the server, and it feels like extra knockback is being applied to you.
    That, and the little amount of air control you have just doesn't lend well to the game feeling responsive when the knockback flings you into the air constantly.

  10. Not gonna lie, less crystal PVP sounds like a healthy thing to me. Hit each other with your goddamn swords and axes and bows like god intended. The 1.8 crowd, as insufferable as they could be, at least understood that.

    Or at the very least, modify the game with a datapack for the server to revert it on specifically that server. Don't muck with this change for survival players, who finally have a reason to use something other than normal Protection.

  11. not stacking in the first place, and then messing up the stacking function is mind boggling. Modders really know the game better and produce much better content than the devs…

  12. As a crystal pvp player, I think this change was really strange. I really liked the old knockback system and blast protection not protecting from kb this much. But now, a player that has dbp (double blast protection), tipically leggings and boots, it is almost impossible to have fun. Whoever has the better mouse and keyboard wins. You can't just have a mouse that can't double click, because you will be at a severe disadvantage. I really hope mojang listens to the community on this one and reverts the change.

  13. That minecraft PVP community is small compared to the millions upon millions of minecraft players as a whole. And as always, a decision on a large population always have some parts be negatively affected.

  14. I like the idea of nerfing the enchantments, but I think that 3.75% per level is next to nothing. Maybe a percentage like 7.5 or 10 would make more sense for this situation.

  15. Honestly, just make the amount like 25% reduction per level 4 enchantment. A full set gives 100% reduction, but leaves you vulnerable to other forms of damage

  16. I thing it should stack but either give 20% resistance per armor piece
    (1 piece – 20% kb resistance, 2 – 40%, 3 – 60% 4 – 80%)

    or give like 30% resistance, but with deminishing returns, as in that every additional will multiply the remaining knockback by 1-(lvl*0.075) aka by 0.7 at level 4
    (1 piece – 30% kb resistance, 2 – 51%, 3 – 65.7% 4 – 75.99%) this seems the cooler and better balanced option to me, but may be more complicated to implament and/or understand

  17. Yo this didnt ruin anything for cpvp, using 2 pieces of blast prot armor has been there for a while now and the only ones that the 10 yolds who started cpvp. But if you are abit good, using a sword and anchors make this change good even for the cpvp, making it easier.

  18. Don’t forget an update changing stuns (hitting someone immediately after breaking their shield) which is connected to the meta in multiple game modes (uhc, and axe specifically but it’s used in other modes too). People use mods these days to revert the change so that they can still stun on smps.
