have you ever wondered what would happen if you lost all your tools in the mines considering they exist in only one copy and can’t be bought again to test this I went into the mine and let the monsters defeat me after dying over and over I lost a lot of time and everything I had except of course my tools so I tried dropping them from my inventory but that didn’t work either then I attempted to throw them into the trash bin but that wasn’t possible after that I thought about placing a chest inside the mines and storing all my tools there but I found out the chests couldn’t be placed in the mines at all at that point I left the mine and kept trying to get rid of the tools in any way I could I placed a chest in the villager’s path and put all my items inside hoping they would destroy it but instead they just pushed the chest forward that’s when I realized that getting rid of tools through normal means was completely impossible so I used a mode that allows you to throw away any item and here’s what happened next dear stard over someone dropped your tools into the lost and found bin last night stop by the mayor’s office to pick them up mayor Lewis [Music]

I’m glad those tools have so many failsafes on them, because it would be very irritating to not have them.
Get rid of all your beds and stay out too late!
You can also just do that on mobile, don't use a controller
somethng like this happened on my first play through. I lost something in the mine and I couldnt get it back for so long. its been a while I wish i remember what it was.
If you use a ps4 controller on a mobile world you can press square whilst hovering over a tool and it deletes it
This happened to me on my first playthrough, no idea why its not possible now 😅
Ther is a way to lose ur tools whitout any mods
Technically you can place chests in the mines but they disappear after leaving the floor
I added a mod where I can ship anything and shipped some of my unused tools for sale. They arent worth much, but I didnt want them to take up space. The next day I got the same letter and my tools were there in mayor's house. You cant get rid of them. Steel scythe, shears and such. They will keep taking up space.

Idk how it happened but I lost my axe for around a month and as I was installing a mod to cheat one back in it just randomly appeared in my inventory when I logged back in before I had even done anything, still to this day have no idea how it happened

God i would love a way to get rid of the scythe after the upgrades and the milk pale.
You can place items into the chests at level 10, 20, 30…
You actually don’t need a mod, use the item ID glitch with your hot bar cursor on each of your tools and they will be replaced with said ID’ item
actually i lost my sword in the mines.. first time i got killed too. had to restart the day bc kinda impossible to proceed😭
Oh one time I somehow lost my axe while doing the item name glitch, I couldn't get it back ever, every though the lost and found, DO NOT HOLD YOUR TOOLS WHILE DOING THE GLITCH IT, THE ITEM WILL TAKE PLACE OF THE TOOL
Is it possible to give your tools to an online play and demolish their home?
(Can you even remove a player’s home?)
Or destroy a shed with a chest in it after placing your tools in them? Never tried demolishing buildings much
I stopped playing the game for a while.. When I returned, I found a second scythe in one of my chests… BUT I DON'T REMEMBER WHERE I GOT THE SECOND ONE. AND I DO NOT KNOW HOW TO GET RID OF IT. HELP.

Idk what happened but on my main world I put a chest on ginger Island where that gorilla who trades bananas is I don't know if I placed it where the mahogany tree grows or something but you can test that out cuz all my tools dropped too
Even better way go into multiplayer give ur tools to a friend through a chest make them leave and the destroy their cabin idk if this works but it should
I have a milk bucket and shears, but no need for them, so I tried to throw them away. Impossible. They’re clutter in my chests, and I’m considering banishing them to a chest on the beach
Can't you just buy them again from the Adventurer's Guild? Or is that only true for weapons?

the first time i died in the mines they took my rusty sword but I didn't have the adventures guide so i killed like 9 slimes with my schyphe (I don't know how to write it) and then i bought a wooden sword for 250g just to realize like ten seconds after that i could buy it back from marlon for 50g
I don't remember how, but I swear I left my tool somewhere and had to get them back from Lewis. This was probably three years ago 😅
I lost my watering can in the first year
Edit: I placed it in a chest and I honestly have no idea where It got to 👍
Fun fact "may be fixed as of 1.6" if you use the name glitch for stardrop and call clint with your tools selected it deletes them
