This Mod Makes Minecraft Nearly Unrecognizable…

Hey everyone. Today I’m going to be showing you all a few mods that will make Minecraft nearly unrecognizable. Now, if I were to show you this completely out of context, I’m kind of curious what percent of you would even know this is Minecraft. Would the possibility of this being Minecraft even cross your mind? Maybe. You might see the pixelated graphics as a dead giveaway, but at the same time, that’s certainly not exclusive to Minecraft. I think there’s like a 50% chance of if you showed this to someone and didn’t tell them it’s Minecraft, they would have no clue what they’re looking at. But the level of detail here is absurd. The Conquest Reforged mod provides all of the high detail to blocks throughout the world that you’re looking at right now, including the trees, which I’m not even sure if it’s right to call them blocks at this point. And you’ve probably also noticed those beautiful gradual slopes, which you know, those obviously aren’t normally in the game. And it accomplishes this simply by adding grass block layers similar to how snow works. It’s subtle enough that unless you’re really paying attention, you can’t exactly tell that this isn’t in fact an actual slope. It’s all just an illusion. I’d say the biggest giveaway is the little jolts that occur each time you step up a block. If that movement could just be a little smoother, it’d be perfect. And there’s a few other factors coming together here to complete this look. Bliss shaders being a very important one. It’s one of the best looking shaders available for Minecraft, and that still applies here. Its amazing fog visuals and pleasant lighting just do absolute wonders within these worlds. And of course, the beautiful clouds as well. If you disable the shader, it actually still looks pretty cool. However, the visuals definitely do go from Unreal Engine demo to PS2 pretty quickly. You know, I still like it. I’ve always been a very big fan of the Conquest Resource Pack. So, if you want to try this for yourself, it isn’t actually all that difficult. As I said before, it’s a mod pack which provides everything you need to get started. It’s called Conquest Reforge Mod Pack. So, you know, pretty easy to remember. It provides all the mods, shaders, and resource packs necessary in order for your game to look like this. You will, however, still need to provide a custom map. And that is the catch here. I suppose none of this is actually naturally generated. Maybe one day, who knows? It would certainly be pretty incredible to see, but for now, it’s all handmade. Anyway, when it comes to custom worlds, Red Ranger Builds has created some pretty incredible options. It’s what I’ve used throughout the entire video. And the maps are name your own price, so you can download them for free or provide a little something for the effort. Once you’ve downloaded your worlds of choice, just drop them in your saves folder and you’re good to go. I will say these worlds aren’t really meant to be played in survival mode. There’s no caves. Many blocks are purely decorational, and if you were to start breaking things, your inventory would very quickly be full of very random items. These worlds are more of like a tech demo, a showcase of absolutely insane stuff that can be done with Minecraft. You can, of course, still play your own worlds with this mod pack. You’ll still have access to the absurd number of custom blocks and textures provided by Conquest, but the world gen itself will be quite default. You can always add some additional mods as well. I did that for this video. added mods like firstperson model, camera overhaul, Leia wins third person mods that you know really help you appreciate the visuals here. Also, I recommend something like passible foliage cuz running into leaves constantly just isn’t ideal. Overall, I think this is pretty awesome. Certainly worth sharing with you all. I mean, you’re turning a game that looks like this into this. Anyway, if you’d like to try it for yourself, everything I used will be linked in the description, so you know, you might as well go give it a shot. And watching.

Some Minecraft mods make subtle changes to the visuals of the game. This isn’t one of them. With just a few mods, along with a custom map to pull it all together, Minecraft will barely even look like Minecraft anymore. Enjoy!

  1. Did I do something wrong? I downloaded it, got the beautiful textures and shaders, but it’s still 100% block world

  2. i don't understand how to install this resource-pack, it's not a java file, minecraft ignores this file, why there's no guide and explanation how to install it urgh..

  3. I might be able to play Minecraft and not get motion sickness with this mod although my pc bursting into flames might be a drawback
