Top 10 Best New Features in Terraria 1.4.5

Terraria’s newest update, 1.4.5, only seems to be a couple of months away. And to celebrate, I’ve decided to look into every new piece of content and changes and come up with the top 10 things coming in this new update. Before the video starts, hello, my name is Dipaloosa, and I’ll be with you guys for the duration of this YouTube video. If you enjoy this video, please make sure to like and subscribe because it directly helps out the video. And apart from that, I hope you enjoy. All of the new content can be seen on the Terrar Wiki linked in description, so you can check it out for yourself if you’d like. Now, I won’t be adding the Dead Cells collaboration or the Power World collaboration. I’m not sure how much has been leaked about that, but as far as I can tell for the Power World one, not much. But these 10 things that I picked are really, really broad. They consist of like every small change, every big change. And we are going to be starting off with number 10, updated Moon Lord sprites. Now, the Moon Lord sprites look really, really cool. I really like the moving tentacles on the face, and you can tell they put a lot of effort into it. A little known fact, I’m pretty sure Sennex is the sprite maker. She did take a whole month to making the original Moon Lord sprite, which is really interesting. Obviously, it’s a really probably the definitely the biggest boss and all of the animations. A month is a long time. And I would like to see some more respites throughout the game, too. And I understand there are texture packs which do that all. There are so many cool texture packs, respiting bosses, and respiting pretty much everything in the game. And you know, resp- sprites can only be so good, right? So, this is why it’s number 10. Moving on to number nine, hoppers. Hoppers are used to store and transport items used maybe with conveyor belts where it is in this video. I’m not sure how this would be useful for most Terraria players or Terraria in general. Like, there aren’t really many farms that need to be like 9,999 is usually the maximum amount of items that can be stored in one slot. That is a lot compared to like for let’s say for an example like Minecraft 64. It might work like Minecraft or something. I don’t even know. I can’t even see the hoppers in this, but this is just what it’s shown. Like I’m not really sure how it will be used, but I guess we’ll just have to wait and find out. Eight is the axe ranging. Now, it’s a boomerang that cuts wood pretty much. And I really do enjoy these terra items that are quirky and have unique uses to them. You know, many terrar weapons and many terrar items that have, you know, cool abilities, cool uses. There is a new fertilizer being introduced in the game that makes trees grow longer, I’m pretty sure. So, this would be really really cool for like farms, like wood farms or something. Yeah, I just imagine it being used just to instantly clear out trees and it would be really really satisfying to see. Continuing with number seven is liquids being stored in bubbles. Players put buffs like the honey buff in their arenas by using bubbles. they can store liquids and you can move through the bubbles. But obviously you do slow down and it’s doesn’t really look the coolest. But now introducing the new liquids be able to be stored in bubbles. It would make it a lot easier and seamless to put in your arenas. Also like you know it just look cooler and there might be something else to it like maybe other functions because I don’t really understand why you would need maybe shimmer water or lava being stored on bubbles. It doesn’t really make any sense to be honest. Maybe there’s more, you know, new abilities to it. Six is new music tracks. There are at least 10 new music tracks being released in this update. Scott Lloyd Shelly, I’m pretty sure, is the composer for all of them still. He I’m a really, really big fan of terrarium music. I don’t actively listen to it, but it is really interesting. Two new release tracks for The Twins and Eater of Worlds. These were released like halfway through last year, like quite a long time ago, but I’ll be playing them shortly after I could stop yapping about these. New tracks for King Slime, Torch God, Skeletron, and Skeletron Prime, replacing their Boss one, two, and three soundtracks, which have been used since the dawn of Terraria. This is a really good feature for making boss fights more interesting and intense if the music is being properly integrated into the boss fight. More soundtracks can also be added in the future. I don’t really want to take it too far, but maybe 1.4.6, you know what I mean? I’m sure it’s going to happen. It’s It’s inevitable with this with these um you know, Terraria devs. Obviously, this isn’t 10 tracks. There might be some more that we don’t know of, but this this is all that we know of. But yeah, really really interesting. And I’ll play them now. They are really, really, really good tracks to be honest. Number five, roller skates. use of placing like um platforms and I think Minecraft tracks too. Um really useful. It it fixes a common problem because the difference between just usually placing Minecraft tracks and platforms is you can’t fall off of them using these roller skates. And you can also use the roller skates to roll on the minecart tracks too, which is a very very cool feature. Like I said, fixed a common problem with you know placing platforms and falling off them. It’s a cool new update. It’s not the not really gamechanging. Um, but yeah, continuing number four, and this is a little bit confusing. I don’t even know why I put this in here, but fish appearing in water when fishing. This is a small and cool little addition to the fishing system. And, you know, fishing sucks in general in every game, but I think Chraria is the best fishing. They integrated fishing really, really well into their game, making it really useful in, you know, some parts of the game. It’s a cool little addition like I said and it would make it more fun in my opinion if they play it really well adding like different fishes that could be seen through different parts of the map. You know, many fishes being able to be seen too. I really do like this. Also, the new puffer fish mob and orcas being added in 1.4.52. I’m not exactly sure, but they are like fish items. Cool. Just thought I’d mention that. Number three. Now, this is when it gets really, really big. Number three, multiplayer spectates after dying. This is, like the others, a really good change that makes it more exciting for people who have died boss fights, allowing players to have a better understanding as to what’s happening in the boss fight and can help on the sideline. More interesting dynamic layers to the game, too. And also, at the end of every boss fight, there will be a damage ranking for the boss and the amount of time it took to kill the boss. So, it will be the percentage, the amount of damage, and who did the damage on like a um a leaderboard. And this is obviously for multiplayer. But this is really, really cool. I really do like this. Senic sucks. Um just want to mention that. Um no, but this is really really cool. It makes it more competitive too if you have really competitive friends. This might make it easier to kill bosses too if there is more competition to it. And I really really do like this change. Anyways, going on to number two. There are so many new whips getting added. It’s a very good addition for the summoner class. New whips for all stages of the game, too. There is a crimson corruption one. There is a duke fishron one. Let me just look. There is a random white one, which apparently is post moonlord or something. And there is a molten one. Now, these sprites, I’m not sure exactly going to be like in the game. I’m not sure how much damage they do. There are no information on the stats of it, but nonetheless, it is a really good indication um a really good maybe like a buff for the summoner class. Helps summoner become more of an accessible class to pick up. And I really really do with that new change. Not as much as this last one. And I don’t know why I just love this new change, but it is crossplay. In my opinion, the biggest part of the update. Many people play console and mobile and obviously it is cheaper on mobile and a lot of people do play them generally and it’s a really really good way to keep the replayability and longevity of the game. You know, I know some people who might be on console, might be on mobile and I’m not sure if it’s just with those two. I’m honestly not even sure. Hopefully, it’s with all three major ones, console, mobile, and PC. But if it even if it isn’t, I mean, you know, console and mobile would be a good they’ll be good to, you know, be able to play together. It connects all Terrar players together obviously, unless it does do PC, but I haven’t heard about that to be honest. But yeah, I think crossplay is something that Terraria’s been missing out on for a long, long time. And the fact that they’re working on it and going to be releasing it this new update is a very, very good sign. Now, these are all of the 10 things that I’ve picked. If you have any, you know, differing opinions, um, make sure to let me know in the comments. If you want to complain that I didn’t add something else, you can check the link of all of the new upcoming changes. None of this is confirmed, but I’m pretty sure Trey has a good track record of leaking things and actually adding those things. I’m not 100% sure, though. Thank you guys so much for watching and I’ll see you in the next

Thanks so much for watching 😀
