The ULTIMATE Guide To Stardew Valley 1.6

Hello there, dear farmers. Today, I’ve put together some ultimate guides that have been releasing since the 1.6 update came out. This video will cover everything you need to know about books, romance, and so much more in Stardw Valley. It can be tough keeping track of everything new in the valley, but with these guides, you should have all the info you need to survive and thrive. Like and subscribe if you enjoyed this video, and as always, thank you for all your support. Let’s jump right in. First things first, picking your farm. Each layout has its own unique features, and if you’re a seasoned farmer, you likely already have a favorite. It might be the perfect time to try out the Riverlands farm. Since 1.6 6 has added a fish smoker to this map as a starting gift. This machine will double the value of any fish, making it very overpowered, especially in year 1. The hilltop farm’s quarry is best for mining. The forest farm has respawnable hardwood, and the wilderness farm can help you quickly advance your combat skill. Four corners is usually considered best for multiplayer, so solo farmers tend to ignore it. But this layout is actually amazing with helping you organize the different sections of your farm. Highly recommend it. But of course, the centerpiece of the new update is the Meadowlands farm. You start with a coupe and two chickens and a funky looking blue grass, which your animals will love. For beginners, I would recommend the standard farm as there are few obstacles to manage and more than enough space for farming and animals. On day one, there’s not all that much to do on the farm. Clear some space and plant your parsnips before heading into town. Buy your first potato seeds with your 500 starting gold before taking some time to explore and introduce yourself to the new town’s people. Potatoes are the best starting crop since they take less than a week to grow and sell at a basic price of 80 gold each. You’ll also want to grab any forageables you find laying around. This can boost earnings, fill up your energy bar, and you’ll have a little gift handy when you run into a cute NPC. While you don’t need to create a full list of tasks, good planning can make your farming experience much more enjoyable. The TV is sometimes treated as a mere decoration by new farmers, but the weather report and fortune teller can provide valuable guidance when planning your day. Living of the land segments can give valuable tips and make sure not to miss the Queen of Souls for a new recipe every Sunday. It’s really worth unlocking these recipes way before you actually get a kitchen. Fishing can be quite tough at the start. It’s a good way to earn early money, and when you really get the hang of it, this becomes a reliable source of income. Foraging is pretty good, too. So, be sure to make a quick pass through the mountains, beach, and forest whenever you pass by them. It may be tempting to sell them all immediately, but be sure to keep some for your first journey into the mines on day five. Once your potatoes are ready for harvest, you’ll want to sell them and buy your second harvest. You can get anything at this point, but make sure your second harvest is ready by the 13th of spring. This is the day of the egg festival where Pierre is selling the best spring crop, strawberries. Save up your foraging and fishing gains to buy these, which go for 100 gold each. Strawberries take 8 days to fully grow and will then give you another harvest every 4 days. With a good strawberry patch, you can easily get through spring without having to worry about your funds. Jojo will clear the mines on day five, showing just another way how Jojo cares for our community. Here you can find many valuable gems and ore. And every 10th floor has a treasure chest. You’ll progress through floors by finding ladders which can be dropped from rocks or from slaying enemies. If you are running low on energy and have no food nearby, remember to bring your hole and dig up some dirt because there’s a chance you might get a much needed cave carrot. Eventually, you will start clearing floors with bombs, but at first you will have to find your ladder down the oldfashioned way. Make sure you have enough snacks, and you’ll be able to venture much further. The mines have a total of 120 floors with a change in scenery and difficulty every 40 floors. You’re going to want to prioritize getting copper and iron more than just going as deep as possible. As tempting as that sounds, it’s worth going to floors you’ve already passed to farm ore. But keep an eye on the clock. If you’re still stuck in the mines at 2:00 a.m. You will pass out and lose 10% of your gold, up to 1,000 gold, it is a good idea to bring along a chest you can place right here by the entrance close to the elevator as you will be getting lots of goodies and won’t necessarily have the back space to keep everything. So once your bag gets full, quickly come back to the entrance and place some things inside of your chest. Toss your ore into a furnace and once you have a few copper bars, you can start upgrading your tools. Tool upgrades take a few days, so people often leave these upgrades for lost. I would recommend doing this as soon as you can, starting with the pickaxe since it’ll help you breeze through the mines. The watering can is a super useful upgrade as well. So, wait until you see a rainy day approaching on the weather forecast. Water all your crops and hand the watering can in at cleanse. Then two days later, you can collect your can without losing a day’s crop growth. Building relationships with the villagers is crucial. Giving gifts, completing quests, and attending festivals are great ways to increase your friendship levels. Higher friendship levels unlock special events and benefits. So, don’t neglect your social life. Now, what’s the best way to befriend all the Pelican Town residents? There’s a help wanted quest board in town right in front of Pierre’s that gets almost daily quests where you get two days to complete a quest for one of the villagers for some friendship points. Besides this, you can give each villager two gifts per week. There are some universal gifts that all the villagers like or love, but they are kind of hard to get in the beginning. The weekly gifts reset on each Sunday. So, make sure to give all gifts before that day. Talking to the villagers daily also awards you with a bit of friendship points. So, with a combo of all of this, you’ll be sure to be the talk of the town. Now, here I have to take a moment to address something important. Many beginner farmers try to find and talk to everyone daily while giving them all two love gifts. also while making sure not to forget any birthdays. This can get incredibly timeconuming and adds unnecessary stress to your daily routine. You should decide early who you want your friends to be and make time to hang out with them and find out what they like. As you improve your friendship, you will unlock cutscenes that give you more background on a character and strengthens your bond. The only missable cutscene is Sam’s three star event, which must be triggered before winter of year 1. The rest you can do completely at your own pace. Once you reach a total earning of 25,000 gold, we get the most important question in Stardio Valley. Mushroom cave or batcave. Daddy Demetrius will come and ask the farmer this exact question. So, which is actually better in Stardw Valley 1.6? Well, the past will leave your fruit overnight and a mushroom cave will grow well mushrooms. The cave is great for completing the community center as you won’t have to plant one of each fruit tree to complete your artal bundles. Plus, most of the town’s folk love fruit, so you’ll be mostly sorted with gifts for your friends. The mushroom cave got a major update, though. It now comes with a dehydrator completely free. This will give an amazing boost your cave earnings as it creates valuable dried mushrooms. Just don’t take too many. Mushrooms are best used to make life elixir. So, if you’re getting destroyed in the mines, this cave might just be the one for you. You unlock the elixir at combat level two, and it will fully restore your health bar. So, to recap, pick the fruit bat cave if you want an easier time befriending villagers and finishing the community center, but pick the mushroom cave if you want some healing potions and greater earnings. Throughout some of your strawberry harvest, you’ll want to pick up the backpack upgrade from Pierre at some point. Inventory management can get rough, especially when you’re trying to keep your mining loot. Put a few chests in front of your house and any other place where you might run out of space. My favorites are just outside of the mines or on the pierre. Keep a designated chest on your farm for a few of each crop you grow. Some of each fish you catch and one or two of each mineral you find after donating them to the museum, of course. Set yourself small goals and finish them one at a time. This will prevent you from trying to do everything at once, and it will allow you to play the game at your own pace. Always keep a hoe on you. There’s nothing worse than getting a lucky worm and being unable to dig it up. These spots can hold really valuable and rare loot or artifacts. This one might backfire on me a little, but do try to avoid minmax until you’ve completed a few years by yourself. That’s why this guide is filled with very beginner tips because the greatest tip of all is to explore the game bit by bit. Here’s a good tip. Go to the settings and turn on show tool hit location. If you keep warding in the wrong direction, make sure you visit the traveling merchant at least once per weekend. They set up a shop in the center forest can have a variety of potentially valuable or elusive crafting ingredients or community center items. But beware, they close their doors at 6:00 p.m. each day. And there you have it, folks. These are just a few tips to get you started in Stardy Valley 1.6. 6. There’s so much more to discover and enjoy in the latest update. So, there has never been a better time to unwind, take your time, and have fun. Once the majority of the farm has been cleared, there’s one thing I always do before anything else. I establish a flow to the farm by placing flooring as soon as possible. My puffs flow from the mountain entrance past the farmhouse to the bus stop entrance all the way to the cinder sap forest entrance at the bottom. This might seem like a weird strategy, but it’s really useful when you’re like me who’s very indecisive about where to place my buildings and crops. It helps to move easily through your farm when all is said and built. You can use different flooring types to spice things up and even combine them to create the funkiest roads the valley has ever seen. You could even create a main road with branching puffs for more depth. I quite like this alternating design with crystal and normal wooden flooring. It looks so cute. Most flooring can be bold from Robin with a bit of well spent pocket change. Another concept I want to touch on early is the use of symmetry and asymmetry. Symmetry makes a farm layout look very well thought out in simple ways like spacing your crops and placing your flooring evenly. Fences can be the most fun if you know how to use them right. You can place them in many different shapes as well, which adds a welcome break from having everything structured in endless blocks. Now, adding these kinds of shapes can be kind of hard to do if you’re zoomed at 100%. So, if you’re planning some patterns, you might want to zoom all the way out sometime. I even installed a mod to let me zoom out even further. This will help your bold, and it’s also nice to just admire the farm from afar. Sometimes, like life, it is difficult to control everything. So, be sure to sprinkle a dash of asymmetry in your design to liven it up. Now, that being said, if you do want to completely plan out your farm layout from beginning to end, I would very much recommend using this website. Here, you can plan where to put all your buildings and crops without having to buy them first. you can build towards an already planned design. That can really help you if you’re decisive about placing stuff in the moment. Although, there is always a chance that you’ll abandon the design halfway through in search of some asymmetry. It’s a blueprint to work off of or even just a welcome guide when you’re feeling unsure. And finally, decorating a whole farm at once can seem very daunting. But that’s why I found it the best to do a little part at a time. In the Middlelands, I started with this little corner by the cave and it just grew from there. Pick a spot and put some time out at least once per week to beautify your home and you will see your beautiful farm coming together right in front of your eyes. As a bonus, it won’t be so overwhelming to find the perfect layout since your farm is growing alongside your designs. Now that we went through all of that, we can put it to use around our farm. Let’s look at how to make the new Meadowlands farm more cozy. Right off the bat, there ain’t much space to grow crops. Since the Meadowlands farm has a whole bunch of untellable tiles, and these sections, you could place buildings like sheds with garden pots inside. I’d recommend pineapples with deluxe retaining soil, which you’ll never have to water and you can collect every few days if you’re looking to maximize your profits. Untilable areas are also well suited for barns and coups. Otherwise, you could use them for a few artisal machines like cakes or go the opposite way and set up a thriving honey empire. The sky is the limit. You can use the crop spacing method to make your fields look more aesthetically pleasing as well. You can even use fence posts in between crop plots to make it look cute. On this farm, I decided to use the full amount of space, but going for a mix of animals, a few essential crops, and a scattering of boldings. The Meadowlands farm has space for more crops, but I was set on making my fat profits from my animal products. If you want more room for decorating, I’d say less than 25% of your farm should be used to grow crops. Now, with the newest update, it brought a lot more customizability in terms of moving everything exactly where you want it. You can now move the farmhouse anywhere you want and your pet bowl. What I like to move is the greenhouse here up towards Grandpa Shrine. It is pretty and it’s next to this nice cute little waterfall, but now you can really just move it to wherever for your farmhouse decoration. The 1.6 update brought us five new furniture catalogs. We got the retro catalog with cute little vintage pieces from a bygone era. This one has a 10% chance of showing up in the traveling cart where it can be purchased for a bank breaking 100,000 gold. finish the community center or Jojo route and the traveling card lady will start stocking the Junimo catalog. It is a variety of Junimo based decorations as the name would imply and it is priced at a more reasonable 70,000 gold. My favorite new catalog is that of the wizard. This one contains a variety of niche pieces and can be found laying around the domain of our favorite platonic housemate. It costs a shocking 150,000 gold. Kind of pretty expensive, but oh so worth it. The next one is completely free and has a bunch of uh interesting items inside. The trash catalog can naturally be found only by rumaging through trash cans. After rumaging 50 trash cans, this catalog has a 1 in500 chance of dropping. So, get digging already. And there’s the Jojo catalog, which you can buy from Jojo for 25,000 gold. Catalogs prove their worth once you have placed most of your buildings and flooring. Little tables and chairs around the farm make it look so much more alive. I quite like to use the little plants and tree decorations to fill up any random open spaces that present themselves, all while making the prettiest farm in the valley. Something a lot of people still don’t know is that you can actually paint your farm buildings. Head over to Robin shop to customize your building to the color you have always wanted. I am over the moon that my future foresty genome farm will be complemented by pretty green buildings. Now we have to start looking at how to prepare your farm’s aesthetic for the nighttime. It gets really dark in the valley, but luckily the new 1.6 6 update added the best thing for this. Concerned Ape has given us the ability to add torches on top of your sprinklers. Just look at how much light just a few sprinkler torches can generate. You can also place torches on top of fences. You can buy light source recipes from Robin and fill your farm with wellplaced torches and sconces. You could also place torches behind things to illuminate them without having the torch visible, and this works especially well behind trees and bushes. Use these and other little tricks to turn your farm into a welllit paradise. In the latest update, we also got an amazing improvement for signs. There’s now a sign that you can put text on them. Use this next to crops to organize your fields. at shed so you can easily remember what’s inside which of course also works very well for chests. These signs are super cute but it’s a little expensive to craft. You can also place dark signs on fish ponds to show what fish are in them. This is also very cute and makes it a little bit more organized when you start building your fish pond empire. There are 19 power books and seven skill books, making a total of 26, so there’s quite a bit to cover, but hopefully after this video, you’ll become the ultimate bookworm in no time. Books in Stardio Valley aren’t just for reading. Like any book, they also double as thoughtful gifts. Give one to Penny and it will count as a loved gift, strengthening your bond. That is unless romancing Penny isn’t part of your playthrough, you monster. Using them is simple, just like consuming food. But here’s the catch. In multiplayer, only the player who reads the book gets the benefits. So, make sure you’re quick and ready to claim this knowledge for yourself. Without further ado, let’s dive into power books first and see what they bring to the table. The first book on our list is truly priceless. Well, almost. You’ll need to slay at least 1,000 monsters to unlock the door to Marlin’s room, where it can be found in a box at the back. The easiest way to do this is to go and slay some dust sprites. For those lonely hearts out there, Friendship 101 is here to save the day. This book helps you build friendships a little faster with everyone in town. You can win it as a prize from the prize machine in Mayor Lewis’s house. Next up is Jack Be Nimble, Jack Thick. And yes, thick is the key word here. This book gives you a chance for weeds to yield more mixed seeds. You can receive it as a reward for completing the second raccoon item quest. Buy it from the book seller or you can trade for it at the raccoon’s wife shop if you have 999 fiber if you have that many to spare. That is the treasure appraisal guide is an essential for any explorer. It helps you get better prices when selling your precious artifacts. It can be found in artifact tros or purchased naturally from the book seller. Next up, we’re diving into seven skill books you can find. These handy reads will help you level up your skills, but keep in mind they won’t contribute to any of your achievements. The first skill book we’re crossing our line at is Bait and Bobber. Reading this book grants you experience in fishing. Next up is Combat Quarterly. Reading this powerhouse will boost your combat experience, so crack it open and gear up for battle. Reading this gem will grant you experience in all of your skills. at 15,000 gold from the book seller. Alternatively, it’s a potential reward from the rune after completing at least five quests. Or it might be discovered in mystery or golden mystery boxes. Calico gets a complete makeover in 1.6, and this can actually affect how you approach the Skull Cavern, but we’ll get to that later. First, we’re going to go through everything you must know about the new Calico Desert Festival. These tips will help you to not get overwhelmed by all of these new mini games and merchants and of course, how to walk away with this super cute cat statue. So, 1.6 major festival we are all waiting for is being held in the sandy calico desert. It goes from the 15th to the 17th of spring and opens up at 10:00 a.m. Pam also shows up at work at 9:00. And as a bonus, you can drive yourself to the desert from 6:00 a.m. on random days when Pam misses work. This is kind of worrying since we know Pam is a raging alcoholic. But I’m sure she’s taking the time off to do something she loves. If you want to attend this festival in year 1, you will have to get the bus repaired before the 15th of spring. This seems quite impossible, but perhaps it’s something I’ll attempt in a future challenge run. Anyway, the desert festival is much more extensive than the winter night market. There is a new currency in the desert festival called Calico Eggs. Much like some markets before it, you can only earn these from the festival itself by performing certain tasks or just even by being lucky. The desert is no exception here and there are many attractions to win prizes for the calico egg market. Now, what is this festival? Much like the night market, the desert festival has a bunch of attractions in which you can win some calico eggs among other things. The Calico eggs are the currency of this festival that you can use to redeem prizes at the Calico egg merchant and villager shops. Now, the only difference is that you can hold Calico eggs in your inventory. You could sell them in your shipping bin, but that will get you a fat total of zero gold. And if that wasn’t bad enough, they will also disappear out of your inventory and chests when the festival ends. Okay, so how do you get your hands on these elusive eggs? To answer that, let’s go through all of the attractions. Let’s start with the most obvious one. When I entered the desert festival for the first time, I nearly choked with laughter watching a shoe and a cactus crab racing each other. If you can find the starting line, you can bet on which one of the three racers will win the next race. Your racers are King Sting, Speed Rooster, Shoe Biscuit, Es Carargo, and Cactus Crawler. As you can tell, there are more than three different racers, but only three can compete at a time, which will make sense in a sec. Choose right, and you will win 20 Calico eggs. It’s not that much, but at least you can keep betting until the racers go to sleep at 11 p.m. If luck’s not on your side, you can give this mysterious dude a calico egg to pick the loser of the next race. If you pay the suspicious dude what he asks for, the winner of the following race will be a 50/50 between the remaining two contestants. But be wary if you do this and don’t place your bet before the next race starts. You will have completely wasted an egg. But yeah, some might call this cheating, but I just called it literally evening the odds. Everyone’s favorite mini game makes a return. That’s right, you can also get some calico eggs from a desert fishing stand. This one is very straightforward. Will he present you with one day fishing challenge to catch three sandfish or scorpion carp? There’s also another quest that will require you to catch a treasure chest or something that Willie asks for. These eggs should be a no-brainer, especially if you’re in year two. So, remember to bring an extra tackle, lots of bait, and a fishing puff like dish of the sea or trot soup. Next up is the scholar. He asks you four questions about the valley and its inhabitants. They’re not too difficult, which is another super easy 50 calico X in the bag. Even if you accidentally fail, you can try again the very next day. The questions are drawn from a larger bank from George’s lost name to the amount of steps you’ve taken. Pause the video to check out the screenshot of all the possible questions and answers. Okay, let’s pause on the hunt for Calico Eggs for a quick snack at the chefs. The chef gives you many different cook meals to choose from where you pick two ingredients depending on what buffs you want the dish to give you. The chef can cook as many meals you like until you get the buff you really want. This crystal cake is great for the skull cavern since it provides plus three mining and plus one luck. The chef’s dishes also restore HP when you eat them, which will definitely be useful, too. Check out this image of all of the possible meal combinations. It gets even better. Dishes received from the chef do not count as a food buff, per se, since you can still stack an additional home-cooked meal and a beverage on top of it. Now, at this point, you’re really going to kick yourself if you left your sword at home. Marlin and Gil takes a break from the adventurers guild to graze us with Skull Cavern quests. Guilt challenges us to get a high egg level, while Marlin gives us a mining or combat quest. Depending on what quest you get and general RNG, this could be the easiest or the hardest step in your egg collecting journey. The quests range from slaying a bundle of serpents to reaching a specific depth in the caverns. Another nice quality of life upgrade is that the skull cavern can be entered during the festival, even if you haven’t even unlocked it yet. This is by far the best way to farm eggs since calico egg nodes will appear throughout your dive. When mined, these nodes can drop anything from one to four eggs. They also have a chance to drop from any other nodes, crates, or even from defeating enemies. Your egg level also increases your likelihood of finding more Calico eggs. This level increases every five floors you go down and when activating Calico statues. These statues have a chance to appear on the floor and provide you with a random effect from a speed boost to spawning more ghosts. You can get different rewards from Gil depending on your egg level. If you can reach egg level 25, you can obtain Gil’s hat and a staggering 200 calico eggs. There is a lot more to the Skull Cavern Festival change, and I will definitely make a more in-depth Skull Cavern guide just for that. Here are a few more other ways to get some eggs. You have a chance to get five eggs from rumaging through the merchant’s trash can. You can do this once a day, of course. Normal artifact spots in the desert also are able to yield another five eggs as well. After collecting all these eggs, you can head over to the Calico egg merchant. Here you can buy several accessories such as cute hats and furniture and a great selection of consumable items. This merchant stock is randomized, so be sure to check back for new wares every day. On every day of the desert festival, two of the towns folk will have booths from 11:30 to sell some of their most like gifts, spouse weapons, or furniture items. Now you can obtain Penny’s furniture items without having to marry her. Take that, Penny. If you die in the skull cavern during the festival, you will wake up in Harvey’s medical station. You won’t lose any gold or items, but in classic Harvey style, you will claim a ton of your hardearned calico eggs for saving you. So, really make sure you don’t take unnecessary risks and have enough healing items with you. Of course, the traveling cart lady and her cute little pig and Umbrella won’t miss the sale opportunity for the world. She sells her usual selection of items, which is randomized daily. This part of the festival is my absolute favorite part. Once per festival, you can get a cactus piece of decor from the cactus salesman at the bottom of the desert for free. There are many different variations of this and you’ll have to come back for a few years to get them all. Just look how cute it is. I love Emily’s outfit service. Every day of this festival, you can visit this booth where Emily or Sandy will pick out an outfit that embodies the player. All of the outfits are super cute. And if you liked your original one more, all of the original outfits are placed in your inventory. The best part about this is obviously all the free hats we get. Last but not least, and much like the yearly winter night market, a shrouded figure offers to teleport us back to our farm for a measly 250 gold. Now, you could stay here until the late hours and still make it back to your bed in time. The desert festival is massive. I would even go as far as to say it’s Stardw Valley’s biggest festival yet. With so many attractions, there is something for everyone. What is your favorite attraction? Thank you so much for watching this video. If you want another free cactus, be sure to hit subscribe. I hear the Stardy Valley RNG gods favor people that do. Each farm layout adds unique mechanics that enhance a specific skill by making it easier to level up. The standard farm has the most space for farming. The Riverland farm is for fishing. The forest farm for foraging. the hilltop farm for mining, the wilderness farm for combat, and of course the beach farm for both fishing and foraging. It’s worth mentioning the four corners farm here as well since it is the best one suited for multiplayer. With the Meadowlands farm, the farming skill is the main focus once again, but this time it’s better for launching than agriculture. As mentioned earlier, you start with a coupe already built on your farm. And incredibly, this coupe comes with two starter chickens. This is a massive boost for the early game as the combined cost of the chickens coupe and the materials needed to build it adds up to a whopping 10,000 gold. So, here it is, the Meadowlands farm in all its glory. Let’s take a quick tour to see what’s new. Behind our house is the farm teleport return statue and you can find your coupe to the left of your house with this soothing waterfall and river flowing through. The greenhouse has been moved next to the coupe even further left. Of course, you’ll be able to move the position of your greenhouse after it is fixed. Left of the greenhouse, you can cross this cute little bridge to find Grandpa Shrine hidden behind some trees. The cave has also moved and its entrance can now be found at the bottom right of your farm. Even though this farm boasts a nice increase in size, there is not all that much farmable land. But wait, that is not all. On this farm, there grows a unique kind of grass. That’s right, we got blue grass. Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but our animals seem to really love this new flavor of chewy grass. So, what is the real difference between the normal green grass we usually find around the valley and the new blue grass? I did a quick experiment with the standard farm where I bought two chickens to pet and feed for 6 days. I noticed that when my chicks ate the standard grass, they took 3 days to become fullgrown chickens. and five days to reach half a heart. I got mostly normal quality eggs in six days. I repeated the experiment, but this time my chickens fed on blueg grass. They took 3 days to become chickens as well, but only 4 days to reach half a heart. Over the 6 days, I once again got mostly normal quality eggs. So, now we know Bluegrass makes our animal friendships go up faster. With everyone starting a new farm to check out the latest edition, I thought it might be a good idea to give you all a few essential early game tips. One thing I wonder about is, do these fences that were given to us not deteriorate? And after testing it myself, I am sad to say that they do after about two seasons. No worries. At this point, we’ll all be friends with Caroline already, and we’ll just use tea saplings as fences. Usually, you would earn your first few coins growing or selling your starter parsnip seeds. To my great surprise, concern a gave us some hay as our starting gift. Now, at first, it may feel like a complete waste, but this is actually the perfect gift. On rainy days like the 3rd of spring, your animals don’t go outside to graze and will need to be fed hay to get their animal friendship points for the day. Now, you’ll be able to maximize your animals happiness until you can afford to build a silo. As a side note, I would really recommend rushing the silo when starting out on the Meadowlands farm for this very reason. I would also recommend getting a mayo machine as soon as you can since you’ll have to significantly increase the value of your chicken’s first batch of eggs. Be sure to pick up some earth crystals when you go mining since a mayo machine would usually be useless so early in the game. Okay, so the chickens are super cute, but we’ll still need to grow a few crops, especially early on. As always, you got to clear a few weeds to collect and grow some mixed seeds. Head over to Pierre to invest in as many potato seeds as you can since they only take 6 days to grow and have a chance for a multiple harvest. Be sure to leave enough space for a brand new crop type, the humble carrot. Carrots only take 3 days to grow. But that’s not even the best part. If you see these greenish tree roots, ho them immediately. You will score yourself some free carrot seeds all over the valley. If you have a hole in your inventory and a keen eye after selling your first potato and carrot harvest, you should be able to afford two more chickens to fill up your coupe ASAP. So, with a combination of mix seeds, carrot seeds, and eggs being turned into mayo, if you didn’t drink it all already, of course, and then later on some strawberry seeds, then you will have no problem turning your new Meadowance farm into a gold factory to rival Joa itself. When it comes to the NPCs of Pelican Town, everyone has a different favorite. Some like Maru or Sebastian Best, while others are more fond of Elliot or Discount Robin. I decided it was high time I do an updated ranking of them all, especially now that 1.6 is out with new hidden dialogue, as well as new likes and dislikes. I’m going to take into account a few factors that I think make for the best potential spouse. While there are plenty of great characters that can’t be married, they won’t someday be sharing a roof. We’ll be ranking in four main categories: hard to get, personality, character growth throughout the game, and marriage benefits. As far as gifts go, we’ll only look into the most and least like gifts. But I quickly want to mention gifts that are universally loved. These are the golden pumpkin, magic rock candy, pearl, prismatic shard, rabbit’s foot, and starrop tea. You should save one or two for your crush’s birthday when it will be the most effective. Besides these, almost everyone will be happy to get a cooked meal, artisal product, gem, or fruit from a tree. Let’s take a look at the guys first. And sorry, Willie, we’re going to go through this alphabetically. Alex is one of the easiest people to track down. He loves standing right outside his house and hanging out on this sunny beach. In 1.6, Alex likes field snacks, which are quite easy to make. 8 out of 10, not hard to get at all. Alex is very much an outdoor person with a love for sports and Dusty the dog. He represents the typical guy, but does have some depth. He’s insecure about his dislike for reading and is still dealing with the loss of his mom. Most of the valley’s residents have some sort of baggage, but it can be tough dealing with Alex when he gets all depressed and easily offended. He gets a four four personality. Alex comes across as a bit of a loner at first, but shows that he knows to make an effort when it really counts. At 10 hearts, he sets up a cute date at the saloon and asks for money to help with his secret project at 14 hearts. That Sunday, you’ll find that he used your cash to set up a grind ball watching party in the saloon. Despite his insecurities, he puts an effort to make new friends and impress them through acts of service. Five out of 10 for growth. Once you marry Alex, he will move in and set up a workout area behind the farmhouse. On rainy nights, he likes to cook you a fishy dinner and could also make breakfast on days when he just stays inside. Alex turns into a good, very supportive house husband, even though he might seem a bit insensitive or boastful sometimes. A surprisingly good spouse, but his bedside manner still needs some work. He gets 6 out of 10 for a total score of 23. She tier. Elliot can be a bit difficult to track down if you don’t know where to look. He’s often on the beach south of his cabin, hates going out in the rain, and hangs out at the saloon over the weekend. It can be a little tough to befriend him. However, since he has very particular tastes, be sure to plant a pomegranate tree if you’re into this dreamy bookworm. He also loves duck feathers or lobsters and won’t complain if you gift him an octopus or squid. He really doesn’t like salmon berries and has developed a hate for super cucumbers in 1.6. I’d say he definitely plays hard to get, so it’s going to have to be a three out of 10 here. Iliot is a sensitive, thoughtful man with an air of mystery. At eight hearts, he’ll finish a novel based on your response in the saloon during his two heart event. He loves music and at 10 hearts will invite you on a romantic boat date. An expressive smooth bachelor that is lovely to befriend if you’ve got the time to find what he likes. His personality gets a seven from me. Elliot seems to have a lot figured out already. He doesn’t like people too much, so he’s one of the few that live outside town. Even so, with your support, Elliot is able to finish his novel and is even confident enough to present it to the towns folk. Nothing crazy, but I guess it’s something. Four out of 10 for growth. In my opinion, Elliot brings one of the more interesting additions to your homestead. He sets up this very cute little garden behind your farmhouse to be his ultimate reading room. It’s cute, but doesn’t add any value to the farm’s profits. Three out of 10. D tier. If you’re still feeling a little lovesick, don’t worry. The doctor is in the house. Up next, we have Harvey. Stardw Valley’s trusted local physician. Harvey is pretty easy to track down. As the town doctor, you’ll usually find him working tirelessly at his clinic. He lives in a cozy studio apartment just upstairs. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, though, he steps up to perform checkups on the villagers. Making his rounds around town, befriending Harvey is a breeze. Surprisingly, the good doctor enjoys a nice glass of wine now and then, though, he’ll gently remind you to drink responsibly. He also has a passion for cooking, which we’ll touch on a bit later. The one thing he’s not a fan of, unhealthy foods, and a particular aversion to seafood. Maybe skip the clam chowder this time. Taking all this into account, Harvey is definitely one of the easier bachelors to win over. I’d confidently give him a solid 9 out of 10. Harvey might seem a bit older for a bachelor, but that’s because he’s dedicated his life to his work, always prioritizing the health and well-being of his community. His kindness and commitment has earned him the respect of everyone in town. Still, there’s a hint of sadness beneath the surface. as if his constant focus on work hides something deeper. As you grow closer to him, you’ll discover his love for cooking and reading. Little passions that give a glimpse into his softer side. With a kind-hearted and hardworking nature that any parent would approve of, Harvey’s personality earns a 9 out of 10 in my book, and the mustache certainly doesn’t hurt. Marrying Harvey has some sweet perks. Sure, you get to brag about being married to a doctor, but it doesn’t stop there. He’ll move in with you and spoil you with a complete breakfast every morning along with the occasional dinner on a rainy night. Expect delicious meals like salmon, crispy bass, fried eel, carb surprise, or even a vegetable meatly. And if that isn’t enough, they’ll offer to clean the dishes for you. How cute is that? a doctor who takes care of you inside and out. He’ll even set up his own little farm outside your house, adding a personal touch to your home. With all that in mind, his overall perks as a spouse comfortably earns a 7 out of 10. When it comes to personal growth, Harvey’s a bit lacking. As we mentioned, he’s a little older, which means most of his development has already taken place. While it’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks, Harvey is supportive, kind, and content with where he is in life, and that doesn’t leave much room for change. While his growth is limited, one standout moment is when, despite his fear of heights, he takes you out on a romantic hot air balloon ride. Like Elliot, it’s nothing crazy, but something. He gets a 4 out of 10 in this category with a respectable 29 out of 40. Harvey just misses A tier, landing him in B tier for potential marriage candidates in Stardy Valley 1.6. Next up, we got the Golden Retriever boyfriend himself. That’s right, it’s the musical wonder Sam. Sam is easy to find, often in his room jamming on his guitar with his buddy Sebastian. But making friends with him can be a bit trickier, as he can be quite picky when it comes to gifts. He’s into simple things like pizza and maple bars, but he’s not a fan of a lot of valuable things like golden bars, refined quartz, and mayonnaise. Pretty much anything in between. Way to fight against capitalism, Sam. Still, he’s a cool guy. Keep things simple, and he’ll warm up to you before long. Oh, and on Mondays and Wednesdays, he works over at Jojo Mart. He’s easy to find, but a bit tricky to please. So, a 6 out of 10 feels just right for Sam. Sam’s got the classic ADHD golden retriever energy and always full of enthusiasm. He’s a type to dive into big projects, especially with his dreams of a musical career, but sometimes bites off more than he can chew. While he’s not a fan of chores and still lives with his parents, he’s a genuine nice, friendly guy who cares deeply for his family, especially looking out for his brother. You can sense a bit of stress at first as he worries about his dad’s return from the Gautro War. Having not seen him in a while, but overall, he’s a good fun guy, easily earning a 7 out of 10. If Sam’s lucky enough to win your heart, he’ll have his own little room set up complete with a half pipe for his skateboard tricks because he’s just that cool. As for the perks of having him as a partner, he’ll whip up instant pancakes for you on rainy days. A thoughtful but simple gesture since he never really learned to cook. He might also dig through the back of a drawer and find random goodies like cactus fruit, coconut, earth crystals, or even geodes. Nothing too fancy, but it’s the thought that counts, right? And sometimes he’ll even treat you to a pizza. Not the most amazing things, but still sweet and caring, so he earns a 6 out of 10 in this department. In the growth department, Sam’s got a lot going for him. Moving out of your parents house is no small feat, and in real life, that’s a huge step. Luckily, he moves in with you, and we are pretty cool, so no big stress there. As you progress through your relationship, you’ll see him take a big leap in his musical journey. He’ll start forming a band and ask for input on its direction. Whatever you choose, that’s the path they’ll take. As your love story continues, you’ll witness him and his band evolve into something really cool. By eight hearts, you’ll be invited to their first live performance. When he get married and he moves in, he’ll start pursuing his music career full-time. And you’ll be there every step of the way, cheering him on. He’s got solid growth, earning a 10 out of 10 for this category. With a solid 30 out of 40, Sam definitely earns his place in a tier. He’s a great pick for any Stardy Valley player looking for a fun, supportive partner. Dark, mysterious, the OG edge lord himself. Deep in his mother’s basement, we uncover Sebastian. Sebastian can be a bit elusive, often spending most of his time in his mom’s basement, immersed in his coding and various projects, or famously standing out on the pier and the pouring rain. Once the beach resort opens up on Ginger Island, you might catch him there now and then. Otherwise, he’ll be doing his own thing and mostly keeping to himself. Making friends or starting a relationship with Sebastian is simpler than it seems. Just give him something unusual or a bit offbeat like frog eggs, void eggs, or obsidian. Avoid typical gifts like flowers, or oddly enough, most kinds of breakfasts. That would put his rating at a solid 7 out of 10. Not bad, but could be better. Sebastian is a rebellious loner who lives in his Paris basement. He prefers keeping to himself immersed in his work computer games, comic books, and sci-fi novels. Most of his time is spent alone in his dark room, balancing it out with the occasional social activity he has to participate in just to touch some grass. He enjoys things like fighting in dungeons and this strange obscure side of life. It’s a bit edgy for the mainstream, but if that’s your style, it could work. Personally, I’d rate him 10 out of 10 because he can unexpectedly be very cute, too. Like most bachelors, once Sebastian finally marries you, he’ll move into the farm alongside you. He’ll have his own little room and keep his motorbike outside. He might offer you some coffee in the morning or give you random items he’s found in the caves, like obsidian, void eggs, bad wings, and frozen tears. But the best part, on New Year’s, he’ll give you a beer. New beer for the new year. Thanks, Sebie. He gets a 6 out of 10. When it comes to Sebastian’s growth, there’s not much to say. He stays as broody and isolated as ever despite allowing you into his life. He does open up a little, and the biggest change is that he gets a little frog, showing he’s capable of caring for something other than himself. But other than that, he remains the dark, broody edge lord you fell for in the first place. Rating him seven out of 10 definitely feels fitting if you’re vibing his energy. That adds up to 30 out of 40, making him an A tier character. It’s no secret he’s my favorite, so I lowkey wanted to give him tens across the board, but I guess I got to be fairer or whatever. When you see a character and think, “Ah, shame.” Chances are you’re looking at none other than ah Shane. Shane lives with this aunt Marne at her ranch, but during the day you’ll find him working at Jojo Mart. In the evenings, he usually unwinds at the Star Drop Saloon. Shane isn’t a fan of most healthy foods and really dislikes pickles and quartz. However, if you’re looking to win him over, he loves beer, pizza, hot peppers, and even a simple egg. All in all, with so many dislikes, I can’t give Shane any more than a four out of 10. When it comes to Shane’s personality, it’s a bit of a roller coaster. He’s rude, unhappy, a heavy drinker, and struggles with depression, and as you build a friendship with him, he does start to warm up, revealing an entirely different side of him. His rules can be difficult to break down. It’s a four from me. You might wonder, what benefit could marrying someone like Shane actually have? Well, he increases your odds of finding a blue chicken by 25%. While you don’t actually have to marry him, you get it after his eight hard cutscene. Well, that’s the only real in-game perk. It’s a pretty cool one. Once married, Shane gets his own room and he’ll bowl a chicken coupe right outside the farmhouse. From time to time, he’ll offer you a tasty beer, some large eggs, a pale ale, or even pepper poppers. He can also cook up some dishes for you like omelets or pizza. Some people like to say you can’t fix him when talking about Shane, but he is honestly not the worst spouse by far. He’ll have some good and bad days, but contributes to the farm however he can. Plus, if you’re a fan of jalapeno poppers, beer, or even blue chickens like I am, there’s no way we can give him anything less than a seven out of 10. Shane’s journey throughout Story Valley is truly something to behold. From passing out on a cliff and struggling with thoughts of taking his own life to neglecting his young godaughter, he faces some heavy challenges, but it’s inspiring to watch him slowly cleaning up his act. It’s a beautiful transformation showing the strength it takes to fight through the toughest of times. Again, 7 out of 10. With a score of 22 out of 40, Shane sits firmly in B tier. And now it’s on to the girls. It’s not a phase, Mom. It’s who I am. Our first bachelorette is the one and only Abigail. Abigail loves spending her time in the graveyard or wandering through rainstorms, searching for frogs and other little critters. Once the beach resort on Ginger Island is unlocked, you might spot her there on occasion. However, always leaves the island by 6:00 in the evening. While Abigail might be a bit elusive, she’s surprisingly easy to befriend her favorites, pretty much anything purple, monster themed, or delightfully creepy. Just steer clear of Sugar, Clay, and Holly, and you’re golden. Abigail ranks a 7 out of 10 for how easy she is to find and befriend. Thanks to her occasional elusiveness, but clear preferences, Abigail isn’t just at odds with her mom. She’s on a path to becoming a full-fledged warrior, often found fighting in the cave. With her blue purple dyed hair and a deep obsession with the occult, she’s drawn to all things strange and weird. Abigail’s personality is far from the typical girls you’ll find every day, making her a fascinating addition to Stu Valley. I’d give her a 10 out of 10 for her unique character. If you marry the wonderful Abigail, she’ll settle into her own room in your farmhouse and even have a little garden outside where she’ll occasionally play her flute. On rainy days or in the morning, she’ll share gifts like solar essence, bat wings, void essence, amethysts, or fire quartz. If it’s a rainy night, expect different soups from her. And if she’s indoors, you might find a cherry bomb, bomb, fried mushroom, or crab cakes, perfect for your mining adventures. Given all these thoughtful benefits, I’d also rate her a 9 out of 10. Watching Abigail stay true to her ideals of becoming a fighter and exploring the world is truly fascinating. From her initial fear of the bats to finding comfort in you, then delving into strange occult practices and finally saving your life in a fierce battle, her journey is nothing short of captivating. For this remarkable growth, I’d give a 10 out of 10. With a score of 36, Abigail is our first S tier character. Definitely someone to keep an eye on in Stardy Valley. The next bachelorette we’re looking at is the freespirited bohemian Emily herself. Emily works at the Stardrop Saloon in the evenings, and when she’s not there, she can often be found at the beach resort on Ginger Island, spending most of her time relaxing. To get on Emily’s good side, think of anything shiny or crystal related. Topaz, rubies, jade, emeralds, or even cloth, as she’s a clothes enthusiast. Emily is not the hardest to get along with, but you’ll need to pay attention to her love for crystals and clothes to really win her over. If you’re enjoying mining, it’s always a good idea to save something shiny and pass by the saloon on your way home. Emily is a kind, spiritual soul. She loves clothes, crystals, and all things spiritual. And she cares a lot about things, even having a pet parrot. Emily is also passionate about helping people with their healing energy and enjoys spending time with others in a calm, nurturing way. She’s one of those characters that radiate a gentle, caring energy. With a score of 7 out of 10, Emily’s personality might not stand out as much, but her calm spiritual nature and love for crystals and and clothes make her a solid choice. If you’re lucky enough to win over Emily’s heart and marry her, she’ll move into your farmstead and create a little meditation area right outside. Her pet parrot will join the family, too. And in multiplayer, your friends will get to see him and all his feathered glory. She’ll gift you things like cloth, wood, dog feathers, refined quartz, and bean hot pots along with the occasional treats like coffee and omni geodess. From time to time, she’ll even give you a pudding, blueberry tarts, cookies, and chocolate cake. It’s a nice variety of gifts that aren’t too hard to find. Considering that spread, I’d rate her benefits 7 out of 10. Eight if you count the burp. When it comes to Emily’s growth, there isn’t a significant change throughout the story. We’re introduced to her spiritual side early on where we meet in a dreamlike state, and we learn that she cares about her friends and clothes, even taking you to a clothing therapy session. Personally, I found the fashion choices of others more interesting than hers. While I do appreciate the parrot, that’s about the extent of her development, so I can’t justify giving her more than three out of 10 for growth. With a total score of 24, Emily lands in the C tier. Not the best, but certainly not the worst. When the classic popular girl next door is the pretty girl of a small town, you’ll get the lovely bachelorette, Haley. It can be a bit tricky to find Haley around town as she doesn’t have a specific job. Once the beach resort on Ginger Island is unlocked, you might catch her there on Sundays or at Harvey’s clinic. Otherwise, you’ll need to wander around town and see if you could spot her. When it comes to giving Haley gifts, it’s pretty straightforward. She dislikes horseradish, prismatic shards, clay, and the usual assortment of leaks, clams, and syrups. On the other hand, she loves pretty flowers, cakes, and coconuts. Finding Haley can be tricky and the list of favorite things isn’t exactly extensive. Soul will rate at four out of 10 when it comes to how hard it is to get along with her. Growing up wealthy and popular, Haley developed a bit of a conceited and self-centered side. Often judging others based on superficial reasons. However, as you get to know her better, you’ll uncover a fun, open-minded woman who cares deeply about her community and is genuinely passionate about helping in ways that matter to her. I’m not a fan of the popular kid trope, so I will have to rate it no higher than four out of 10. Haley is a pretty straightforward wife. When you marry her, she moves into the farmhouse and sets up a camera area outside to take pictures. She can make you things like cookies, blueberry tarts, pancakes, poppy seed muffins, or maple bars. And for breakfast, you might even get fried eggs, omelets, hash browns, or pancakes. For dinner, she might serve chowder, eggplant, beans, or soup. Nothing too fancy, but a solid allrounder. I’ll give her a 6 out of 10 for marriage benefits. When we look at Haley’s growth throughout the story, there isn’t a lot of dramatic change. She does get her hands dirty a bit, especially when she takes pictures with a cow and falls in the mud, reacting surprisingly positively to the whole situation despite her usual appearance and assumptions. She also shares a love for photography, and you can have a special moment with her in a dark room while she develops photos. The story concludes with her organizing a cake run to help provide books for kids, showing some growth, but not enough to win me over completely. So, I’ll have to rate her five out of 10. With a score of 19 out of 40, Haley falls into the D tier. Ew, indeed. Leah, the uncertain and shy bachelor rat living in a cottage in the woods is definitely one of the marriable NPCs ever. Often referred to as the discount Robin for her hair color, Leah lives in a quaint cottage just outside Pelican Town. You’ll need at least two hearts of friendship before you can enter her home. But in the winter, she will let you inside anytime between 10 and 6, regardless of your friendship level. How sweet is that? To grow close to her, you can offer her nature related gifts like ghost cheese, stir fry, or even a good bottle of wine. Just steer clear of processed foods like pizza, pancakes, and bread, as well as seaweed, and other less natural items. When it comes to dialogue, there are some pretty interesting choices, but just be careful not to come across as creepy. If you avoid that pitfall, you should be fine. It does add an extra layer of challenge to get to know her and building a good relationship, and she can be gifted forage in the early game. So, we rate this aspect 5 out of 10. Leah loves spending time outdoors, foraging, and enjoying the gifts of the season. She’s a talented artist who moved from the hustle and bustle from the big city to find peace and quiet so she could focus on her art. Though a bit shy and unsure of herself at times, with your support, I’m sure her confidence will blossom. Leah is indeed a fascinating character with a lot of depth and charm. Her journey from being a bit shy and uncertain to growing in confidence and opening up adds a lot to her appeal. The dynamic in her interactions and growth and the drama she brings makes her a standout character, making a eight out of 10 rating welldeserved for her personality. If you marry Leah, she will move into the farmhouse with you just like other candidates with her own room and space outside. She used that space for a sculpture area where she can create different forms of art. In the mornings, you might get a mushroom she found while foraging. Or if she stays indoors, she’ll offer you a coffee or something she’s grown, like one of her famous flowers. If you make it to the new year, she’ll also share a nice bottle of wine with you. An extra bonus is that as you get closer, she’ll teach you how to paint, allowing you to create your very own artwork. This unique and heartfelt touch boosts her score to an 8 out of 10 for marriage benefits. The process of getting to know Leah is one of the most interesting. Not only do you have to consider the jealousy of her ex, but you also influence her decisions early on, such as whether she should open an art gallery or promote her work online. This leads to deeper situations like the gallery or internet sales, which ultimately brings about a dramatic confrontation with her ex. If you choose not to confront him yourself, Leah will step in and do it for you, showcasing her growth from the shy, unsure girl you first meet to someone confidently standing up for herself. This growth earns her a solid 9 out of 10 for character development. Leah just makes it into a tier with a 30 out of 40. Her growth personality and the way she engages with the player truly stand out, making her one of the top tier characters in Stardew Valley. Speaking of Robin, let’s talk about her daughter, Maru. The valley science girl can be one of the most interesting friendships you’ll ever form. Maru lives north of Pelican Town in a house attached to the carpentary shop where her parents work. You’ll often find her there tinkering with inventions or at the clinic wearing a nursing uniform. To befriend Maru, you’ll need to give her gifts that appeal to her engineering and tinkering side like a battery pack, diamonds, gold bars, radioactive bars, iron bars, copper, or radioactive ore. Avoid the more natural items like maple syrup, salmon berries, honey, or pickles. And she finds those quite boring. Strangely enough, she does like strawberries. All in all, knowing where to find Maru and working to get her to like you is a pretty straightforward process. It’s not too easy, but not overly difficult either. I’d rate it a 7 out of 10. Growing up with a carpenter and a scientist for a parent, Mario developed a deep passion for creating gadgets from a young age. It’s no surprise you’ll often find her in her room tinkering with machines or helping out at the clinic. She does some fascinating things like bolding artificial life and is willing to set it free when it desires showing a caring side to her. If you ask your father, he’d probably say she’s the best thing that ever happened to you. But I’m not just going to take his word for it. So, I’m giving her a 6 out of 10 for personality. If you marry this inventive lady, she’ll move into the farmhouse, set up her own room, and create a gadget workbench outside where she can tinker away to her heart’s content. She can also surprise you with small gifts she’s made in her workshop like a warp totem, quality fertilizer, fine quartz, a gate, or even a casual bomb or two. If you’re in the mood for dessert on rainy nights, she might offer you rice pudding, blueberry tart, cookies, or chocolate cake. On days where she stays indoors, she can craft a cherry bomb, a fried mushroom, or crab cakes. Just a normal thing she finds in her scrap pile. While all of these are interesting options, I’d rate her a solid 10 out of 10 for marriage benefits. When it comes to her growth throughout the story, she doesn’t change that much. Instead, you see more of the inventions she creates and the experiences she takes you through like her artificial robot that wants to explore the world or going stargazing. While that’s an interesting development, it’s more about the wider world than about her personal growth. So, I can’t rate her higher than a four out of 10 in this area. With a score of 27, that places her firmly as a Btier character. Just a cut above the rest, but still not one of my favorites. Personally, a penny saved is a penny earned, as they say. We’re in the home stretch now, so let’s talk about our final bachelorette. Penny is pretty easy to find. She lives with Pam and can usually be found in their trailer. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, you’ll see her tutoring Jazz and Vincent at the museum. You can typically find her at one of these two spots or sitting in a bench in town. If you’re looking to befriend her, she has a soft spot for books. Other great options include diamonds, emeralds, puppies, red plates, or roots platters. Just steer clear of pale broth, quartz, red mushrooms, strawberries, wool, and any type of alcohol, and you’ll be good to go. That said, you’ll need to be extra cautious with Penny, as she’s the only character who can lose up to six hearts if you pick the wrong dialogue option. Fortunately, it’s easy to avoid. Just keep in mind that she loves children, which is apparently a major deal breaker for her. With a few major pitfalls to watch out for, building a relationship with Penny can be a bit more challenging. Considering this, we’d have to give her a five out of 10. Penny is shy and modest with no grand ambitions beyond her dream of starting a family. She enjoys cooking, though she’s not always the best at it, and loves reading books from the local library. She’s incredibly dutiful and always strives to make life a little easier for the people she cares about, often reflected in her habit of doing chores for those around her. She brings a warm, welcoming presence to Stardy Valley, earning her a solid 8 out of 10 for personality. If you marry Penny, she’ll move into the farmhouse and create a charming little garden outside to tend to her plants as well as a cozy reading nuke where she can relax with her books. As for marriage benefits, she’ll occasionally offer you items like large milk, eggs, mix seeds, or even geios. In the morning, she might cook you breakfast such as omelets, hash browns, or pancakes. On Rainy night, she’ll spoil you with dishes like salmon dinner, crispy bass, fried eel, or vegetable meatly. The standard perk of marrying Penny, though, is when she asks you if she can redecorate your room. You’ll get to choose between themes like forest and moon, strawberry home, or pirate. These unique options will only be available from Penny Shop during the desert festival. So, be sure to win her heart and enjoy all of these amazing perks. With that, she earns a perfect 10 out of 10 for marriage benefits. When we look at Penny’s growth throughout the story, there doesn’t seem to be that much change. She remains steadfast in her family values, reinforcing them consistently. You get the chance to spend time with her and her students as she teaches them, offering them a lesson in the wonders of farming, which you of course take part in as well. You also see her working to improve her cooking skills, creating a dish called chili, the whatever your name is, and finally shares a tender kiss of a night in the pool area of the spa. A 7 out of 10 with a total score of 30 out of 40. That places her as our final A tier character. Definitely someone to keep an eye on in your Stardew Valley playthrough. That brings us to the end of today’s video. I hope you learned something new and if not, you are truly a pro farmer. Thanks for watching and don’t forget to like and subscribe for more Easy Lily. 2. Personally I loved the 4 Corner's and Hilltop Though with the hilltop my biggest complaint is that when you first start most of the Cross-able bridges have stuff that require upgrades to make viable but it's still a pretty cool farm layout, 4 corner's is interesting Because I usually end up forgetting about one and it gets over run with tree's and mushroom tree's.
