MINECRAFT JUST DROPPED A SURPRISE END UPDATE & UPGRADED SHADOWS + HAPPY GHASTS!
All right. Now, today, before we get into some giant Nether changes that’ll shake up the Happy Gas update big time, an interesting surprise end update, beautiful shadows, and even more. Before we get into all of that today, I’d like to kick everything off with a brand new saddle update 2.0. Inside of this update, a little bit of leather, tiny bit of iron, and we’ve gone ahead and done it. This saddle is now craftable on Bedrock Edition. on Java at least. This was stated to be the final gigantic change for this new update. And oh my gosh, it’s just as beautiful over here. Except hold up a minute. Does that horse animation look completely different on Bedrock? Gosh, that boy look quick. It’s speedy. Now, on top of that amazing update, we could also use a pair of shears on anything that has a saddle now, and the saddle will be deequipped. Simply use a saddle on any mob, the saddle will straight up be equipped as well. This week on Java, the devs declare the snapshot cycle just about done. over here on Bedrock Edition. That hasn’t exactly happened, but unless we’re due for the greatest plot twist of all time, which if you think about it, the update’s already way larger on Bedrock. More on that a little bit later. I think this might be one of the final previews for this update as well. The weird thing about all of this is that this is one of the largest previews that we’ve seen in the 0.9 cycle so far. We’ve also got some pretty sick exclusive updates here, too. In order to check out the very first one of the day, so narcissistic, dude, you already get a whole update back. O with this thing and the dried gas originating from the Nether. Clearly, this dimension is going to be a pretty significant part of the update. Honing in even more though from just the Nether as a whole to a specific biome, the soul sand valley is the big kahuna. The second hay and star of the show of this update. And today all over the soul sand valley biome. Like this thing is actually insane here. Moving around. Structure structure structure. And wait a second. One more structure too. So, in one of the most wonderful moves of all time for the dried and happy gas community, well, moving around here for 30 seconds on bedrock, if you’re familiar with it, you instantly notice the difference. The Nether fossils, they are no longer Oh my Oh my god, you’re louder than me. Ah, the Nether fossils, they are way more common now. This is going to make finding a dried gas, getting your hands on it like insanely easy. I mean, look, it’s kind of crazy to me how much they want us to be able to get the dried gas. But, I mean, I guess if this is really it for the update, we better be able to get our hands on it right now. While we’re talking about the Happy Gas here, as you might have noticed when a Gastling spawn in, pardon the noise, the Gastling is still an enormous size on Minecraft Bedrock Edition compared to how it is on Java. Kind of crazy that the thing still isn’t in parodies. This thing is like a 2x two blocks on Minecraft to Bedrock Edition. On the other hand though, this week the devs have gone ahead and polished the Happy Gas a million times over. So much polish, in fact, that the thing is practically Polish. Okay, you know what? I’m real sorry about that. I’ll see myself out. It sounded better in my head. Big change number one that you might notice here. If you’ve ever put a happy gas on a lead and then attached that lead to events, you would see a lot of spinning, circling, and dancing. Almost as if it was listening to ABBA. Well, spinning, circling, and dancing is exactly what this thing doesn’t to do any longer. Now, if I take you off of that, give you the hardest, and jump on this thing. Oh, that was like the smoothest happy ass pickup of all time. If I fly this thing like right along the ground here, listen. You see what you don’t hear any longer? Footsteps. Previously, all flying mobs when they would fly near the ground, they would make footstep sounds. Now, I don’t know really specifically what other flying mobs were actually doing this. Like, does that mean the bat was walking the Phantom, too? But whatever. Now, in one of the craziest instances of happy gas mob stacking madness, less I had a ridable mob on top of a happy gas and I got on that ridable mob while on the happy gas. Well, no longer will I just straight up ghost through this mob and fly all the way down to the ground. Oh my god. And I wonder if we had four players here. Could I put a camel right in the center, fly around, and the camel would actually stay. Our happy gas friend this week around also has a change to the detection how it will basically behave when players are near it. If I get within one block of the happy gas horizontally here, the happy gas is going to know I’m here and I won’t be able to pass through it. Where this mechanic is going to come into play, and you’ll notice it the most here, is when you’re trying to land on the happy gas because it’s properly solid. Vertically here, the happy gas player detection radius has changed as well. It will now extend to two blocks above it. So, that should mean in theory if I were up on top of a happy gas and like jumped up real high or something, maybe I had myself a fancy jump boost 2 potion. And I drink that and jump up. Well, at least until I reach that upper limit there, the happy guys will be patient and not really move all that much. Unless I’m missing something, which if I am cold down below, other than the weird gastling enormous size difference, I think this mob is in just about perfect parody. But the heavy gas isn’t the only mob to get some big updates this week. Cold freezing cow, you at last, only about 2 months after its release, have been fixed. So, the cold cow, specifically the horn on this thing. It is now mirrored on either side of this thing’s head. You can see here the cold tip is going diagonally in and then diagonally in on the other side. Slide into the update that dropped last week, 1.20, 1.80. Check out the cold cow and your immersion will be ruined forever. Now, this week around, we actually have some more significant groundbreaking changes to vibrant visuals. Oh, baby. and turning vibrant visuals on almost crashes my game. Nice. Our first change of the day in Minecraft’s most beautiful graphical setting will take place up high in the air, a location you might end up being in the Happy Ghast update. Inside of this update, if you soar all the way above the clouds here and then look down, well, previously water just straight up wasn’t rendering. Now, in order to check out this next one in its most beautiful glory, thankfully. Oh, I’ll always take an opportunity to set it to sunrise and vibrant visuals. It’s so beautiful. Inside of this week’s Vibrant Visuals update, we actually have one of the biggest shadow updates ever. So, here in my world, as the sun slowly begins to rise, a huge difference is going to be noticed almost immediately, at least as soon as the sun’s rays can begin to touch things that I’m placing down on the ground here. Our big difference here is going to be with how shadows are actually created and cast at both sunrise and sunset. Oh my god, Camel, you look good. All right. So, maybe everything’s blocking my way over there. But over here, look at these fence shadows. Wo, those are way bigger than they were ever before. Same thing exactly is going to go on with this torch flower inside of a pod as well. And well, literally anything else that I place on the ground. The shadows are way more dramatic and long here. Now, this will mean things like say tree shadows from trees that are pretty far away will be cast way further down onto the ground. and things that are maybe a little bit more unobstructed, say this fence out in the open, the shadow grows a little bit longer here, too. In specific technical language here, the shadows can cast further. Before this change, shadows were clamped at a 30° angle relative to the horizon. This clamp has now been reduced by 20° all the way down to 10°. Oh, these shadows flying around up here in the air while the sun is still rising up into the sky, you can see they are way, way longer and more dramatic now. Now, another great thing that this is actually going to fix a little bit here when it comes to vibrant visuals is the sun, the rays, the lighting shining over the mountains when maybe it shouldn’t exactly be doing so. And again, specifically, this will happen most commonly at sunrise and sunset. Wo, look at my shadow behind me. How much more like real and long and tall it is. Oh man, this is so cool. And it makes Vibrant visuals way more realistic. a huge Viper visuals update that has made its way into the game today just in time for its big release inside of 1.21.90. Well, it has to do with leaves. When I lead mobs together inside of Vibrant Visuals, now it’s going to look way less glitchy than it did before. See, we’re actually checking it out like a week or two ago here, but basically when I was putting mobs on a lead in Vibrant Visuals, the lead wasn’t even fully connecting to the mob sometimes. Considering that this is now going to be the default video setting inside of this update going forward for many devices, it’s good to have everything looking nice. Now, it’s kind of funny, quite tragic really, like a Shakespearean play or something. Just last week when I was making this video for vibrant visuals checking it out, I actually discovered a hotkey that I cut out of the video. Sometimes I cut out quite a bit from videos just to make it flow a little bit better. The hotkey like a tattoo or something was semicolon and I would press semicolon and basically vibrant visuals would turn on and off. I’m spamming semicolon right now. Tragically, not a single thing is happening. They’ve removed it. Tragically, semicolon debug feature for toggling graphics has been fully removed. Now, this is quite odd because when they debuted vibrant visuals at Minecraft Live this year, they said with the press of a button, you’d be able to enable these beautiful graphics. I wonder if they have a different plan for this a little bit later on. According to Smokeoky Sagno, a very good and trustworthy source on this one, Ubo Jangster said there was a myriad of issues which led to this decision. And if there’s a lot of issues around this hotkey, I mean, it’s pretty important to get it removed because Vibrant Visuals, well, as we learned last week and get a little bit more confirmation of this week, Vibrant Visuals is releasing as part of the summer drop for Bedrock Edition in well, we don’t know our release date quite yet, but very soon. Yeah. So, the Vibrant Visuals update on Minecraft Java. It’s basically the happy gas, better leashes, and a couple of other nice but smaller changes. Meanwhile, it’s looking like here on Bedrock Edition this summer, Vibrant Visuals V1, officially fully out of experimental, no toggles needed. It will be releasing as part of this update. Now, this is kind of insane because that means for Bedrock Edition at least, the vibrant visual summer update is actually quite gigantic. Shaders fully dropped into the game, no experimental toggle. I mean, that’s insane. Look, no complaints at all. Like, it’s cool to have this thing fully released. I love it and I’m obsessed with it, but it does make me wonder about experimental toggles. Like, what the heck is up with experimental toggles that are exclusive to Java? Say the redstone experiments, the minecart improvements. They haven’t been changed in a long time. Why can’t Java have a different one? I don’t know. It’s all just kind of weird. But don’t get me wrong, for vibrant visuals, all absolutely beautiful news. Now, the final thing that I’d like to talk about when it comes to vibrant visuals today is a brand new temperature gradient system that has been implemented as well. Now, with all of the toggles enabled inside of Bedrock Edition, moving around from biome to biomeir, the change that I am noticing is very subtle, if not even a thing here at all. Theoretically here, the best spot to check out these changes, well, that would be right over here at World Spawn, where I move from a forest to beach biome, both warm and neutral spaces, into this cold tundra. And I mean, I try and pay attention to the sky here, thinking maybe the changes are there, but I don’t think I can actually see them. This stuff will be included alongside the first release of the vibrant visuals update. And I guess you need to customize it yourself to be able to check it out. Skullk vein. Skullk vein. Take a look at the skullk vein. When I hold it, it’s a perfect square. When I look at it in first person, it’s also a perfect square. When I place this thing in an item frame, surprise, surprise, it’s a perfect square. It wasn’t always this way, though. Check this out. This monstrosity is from Minecraft Bedrock Edition in just the previous week. The skull vein was absolutely insane. I always talk about Lost Media with these previews and whatever. I was so lucky to grab this footage of the Skullk Vein beforehand because this is insanely weird. And look, I’m trying to not overthink it, but why was the Skullk Vein that crazy looking in the first place? What did the world, huh? Now, this week we have a very, very interesting change to the end alongside another recent change to the end that we’ll be taking a look at in a little bit more depth sometime soon. It’s pretty big. Well, out here in the end, the end gateway specifically. Let’s see if I’m lucky enough to be able to find one out here. They spawn so sparsely. Never mind. I give up. Wa! Wait a second. That’s a crazy glitch. Uh, just no gateway on that one. Okay, the dragon. Sweet Jean. When I take her out, an end gateway will pop up somewhere over here. And the end gateway, this contraption right here is the thing that has a recalculation with its spawning. So, previously here, this thing, because of its spawning and how it worked, where it would drop you on the other side of this thing, it was actually decently easy to just straight up fall off of this thing and maybe land in the void. Well, now the developers, seemingly, for no reason at all other than quality of life, have recalculated where this thing will actually drop you into the world. So, this one is kind of a perfect instance. Check this out. It’s floating clearly over the void. And if I go ahead and travel through this thing to the other side of it, well, then I’m placed on the ground and right down below it. But then I go ahead and I’ll pull this off in survival. Go ahead and use this thing from the other side. This should land me over the void. But no, no. Because of this new calculation thing, I’m actually put off to the side of this thing. Basically, on the nearest platform, solid ground. This is kind of crazy. And I can’t help but wonder if maybe there’s some kind of reason we’ll be wanting to use these things more sometime soon. Last and definitely not least, especially if you’ve heard it, music discs. The music updates, they’re the same, but also not. So, pausing the game, tapping on settings, going over to sound settings. We do not have those cool music toggles that Java just got where you can like basically make the music loop continuously. So, that’s sad. But we do have all of the new ambient attracts that will play throughout your world and the brand new music disc called Tears. You’ll be able to pick this music disc up just like how you will on Java and by taking a guest out with a fireball. Minecraft preview bunch of numbers. What do you make of it? Do you think this gateway stuff means anything? For even more of the happy ass summer updates, smash like, subscribe, and check out the playlist on the end card. And join the meme club today for some exclusive content. There’s a link to it down below. Thank you so much for watching. I’ll see you tomorrow. Goodbye. [Music]

feels like the devs have been doing a lot of end polishing lately. do you think its leading towards something bigger?? 👀

Toggling with the semicolon in RTX causes an X-ray glitch while switching. It's probably due to the game having to re-render assets. If Vibrant has the same issue then they're not going to give us a hotkey until it's fixed

This man is a professional end update click baiter. Shouldve been a fisherman.
I haven't watched the video yet. If the "End update" is just a dumb bug fix, I'm unsubbing.
Wait wha
I feel like we’re not gonna get a proper end update until Winter. Winter suits the vibe of end more than summer. Summer would be the nether
Wt! 🔥🔥🔥
Good video but sometimes this man is js reaching atp I know this video is a conspiration video but don't give hope on when it's nothing
Thats why I watch xisuma now when reviewing Minecraft updates cause he only makes videos on what's official. first of all I do t wanna get lost while when keeping up on what's latest. Second, cause he goes straight to the point and never yaps.

Me getting vibrant visuals on my phone finally, and then feeling dumb when I don’t see cool shadows-
Minecraft right now on the switch is bad enough, when vibrant visuals releases, it will be like playing on a NES

End Update confirmed!! Wattles said so…
I think ghast said get out get out . 😂 1:57
Wattles will call a small portal functionality change an End Update
The end gateway feature will be exploited by redstoners. If one of your end gateways is over the void, then it's possible to transport items using it now, (so long as items behave like players) as it wouldn't previously be possible to transport items through gateways using only water streams, but now it may be. It also allows for single dimension gravity block duping if this works, although it will require destroying the bedrock.
Oh my god I love you Wattles but can you please stop literally shouting into the mic 😩🥹😂
@wattleplays please kindly making videos on just minor bugs and changes. It's starting to get less interesting
Back in my day there weren’t no things you kids Cahl elytra’s or things you call shulkers or things you call tridents or netherite or any dang darn things called blue beds or white beds there were only red beds and there weren’t no things called workstations either
alright, making saddles uncraftable, and then craftable again

The clickbaiting is getting absurd now
Shouldn’t be referring to a minecraft snapshot as a minecraft update.

no changes while raining? the sun is shine brightly when raining on vibrant visual
The quality of life change for end gateways was probably done because the developers were traveling to the end a lot more than usual in scouting expeditions to decide what they could do to improve the end. And ran into many frustrating deaths while using end gateways. It's safe to say they are actively busy in the end dimension. Well with all the recent updates to every other dimension.
5:12 I swear the devs fixed this like what, multiple times? Either somehow that SINGULAR pixel keeps changing positions, or someone at Mojang keeps inputting it into the snapshot fixes 😭 Because I swear it has been said showcased more than once?
editing was fire this video
The end gates could just be clean up for HC players. Nothing worse than losing a world because you get spawned into the void
I’m so happy to see that Minecraft fixed the shadow issue I recently mentioned!
This update is gonna be great! 😊
The end update thing was mean
Hey there not saying it’s just you but atleast put preview in the title
will i be able to play w vibrant visuals on my ipad 9? 🙃

Dude. Just a couple of days ago, I beat the dragon and hopped into the end gateway to go find some end cities, and the gateway dropped me right into the void 😭 lost my best tools and armor and all the xp I had just gotten by defeating the dragon…. I was thinking that maybe that should be fixed.
