Even though pretty much everyone had much better armor than me, I still kept positive. I knew that winning this thing was easily doable. I mean, I told you, Dexi, I knew Legi wouldn’t have a single piece of iron armor. I knew he was broke, but I didn’t know it was that bad. Yep, just the usual daily insults. I thought I’d get used to them at some point. But man, those two really annoy me. Anyway, I have to focus up because in reality, this next fight is crucial, and only one person walks out of here a champion today. You see, that wasn’t my first event. I had failed a few times in the past. However, that was the first time in which I had a solid plan and I truly believed that I finally had a chance. We don’t have all day, Legie. Daydreaming is for later. Come on, move it. Yeah, my bad. Sorry, guys. Now, as I’m sure most of you already know, today is a test to see who has it in them to become a champion. This is your opportunity to prove to the civilization that you have what it takes. Now, with all of that said, let the games begin. Even though this wasn’t my first event, every time I spawned in, I still felt super overwhelmed by the size of this place. The confidence I managed to build up before the fight was all slowly starting to disappear. Sorry, guys, but you do know you’re all done for. I got the key to the forest castle, and we all know that means I’m going to win. This bad boy hasn’t failed anyone in the past. Oh, really? That’s pretty cool. But how about this? Uh-huh. That’s right. Sorry, Dex. I know we’re technically on the same team, but in here, I can’t save you. As you can tell, keys are pretty important. You see, players use them to unlock doors inside of those structures. And well, inside of them, they get some crazy weapons. Things like the fire sword, the forbidden mace, the ice blade, and well, actually, I don’t even know what’s in that one. But anyway, all the weapons are super cool, but keys are way too expensive, and I can’t afford them. But I don’t need the keys. Like I said earlier, this time I had a plan. Here we go, guys. Try not to die too quick. And just like that, the game started. Just like usual, the stack players rushed to their statues in hopes of unlocking their overpowered weapons. My heart was racing. I knew that now was the time and that this was my chance. Okay, cool. Looks clear to me. As long as I can avoid getting into any fights and head over to the mace statue, then hopefully I should be good. You see, my plan was pretty simple, but in my opinion, highly effective. Everyone at first fights their way to the easy statues. Technically, that is where all of the action goes down. So, if I can climb the hardest mountain and get to the mace statue and then set up my trap in front of the entrance, someone will surely come and then I can take them out and steal the key. Get there before anyone else can. And I can win this thing. Come on. I’ve got this. It’s easy. Get back here. How dare you pick up my key. Do you know how hard I worked for that? Oh, wow. Those guys are really going at it. But yeah, know with this gear, going up for close-up PVP combat is a terrible idea. But now I just got to stay focused. Come on. Come on. Right. We needed to make sure that we couldn’t lose a single fight. And that way, we could start placing bigger bets, earning more cash and securing our chance to become champions. Me and Fifth knew that there was other people also trying to get this key. So, we had to make sure that we got it first. And for that to happen, we both knew we needed to grind heavily. With only two gaps and almost no armor, the chances that Fifth would win in there were too slim. But nevertheless, I knew that Fifth would have some sort of plan. This wasn’t the end of anything. So, I went towards our spot and waited for him to come back. And after around 5 minutes of waiting and then another five after that, I soon realized maybe something else had happened. I mean, I guess he could be in his room. I was so deep in thought that I wasn’t even paying attention. The event could be over, but I thought I told him to meet me straight at the camp, so that’s pretty weird. Yo, Fif Broki, you around? The second I walked into the empty room, I knew that something was definitely up. Okay, well, if he’s not in his room and he’s not in the lobby, then maybe he’s already making cash. I told you we should have brought shields. It was as simple as that. Did you not think to just keep the key in your inventory? Wait, so if they didn’t win? The second I overheard that conversation, I knew that it could only mean one thing, but I had to see it with my own eyes. So, I ran up to the name board and there it was. He did it. He actually won. Luckily for me, I was placed right next to what seemed to be the library. All I had to do was find that door and get to that armor. But wow, this place is massive. Right, this might be a little bit harder than I thought. Let’s hope I don’t run into someone down here. But realistically, the chances of somebody being in the library this early are very small. So, I should be good. Even though I knew what I was looking for, it was still insanely intense. Not being familiar with the arena was definitely adding to the stress. But the most stressful thing of all was that I knew that failing was not an option, and neither was respawning. I had to win this thing. Come on, man. Come on. Wait, this could be it. Yep. There’s a hopper and everything. This has got to be it, right? Let’s hopefully I wasn’t lying. Once those doors opened, I felt much more relieved. I made it safely to the armor. And now it was my time to shine. Oh my gosh, that is a full set of diamond armor. Are you kidding me? Let’s go, man. At that point, I was insanely hyped. You see, that was the first time I had ever been in such crazy armor. Oh my gosh, Leo was not joking. I literally have 60 HP right now. As long as I don’t completely troll, then I should definitely win this. I was super excited. Becoming a champion was something I had worked towards for so long, and I’ve been close many times. So, I couldn’t believe that it was finally happening. All the hard work and grinding was finally starting to pay off. That’s just how it is, Dolph. Don’t take this too personal. After everything that we’ve been through, are you two kidding me? That’s just how it has to be. You, traitor, neither of you deserve to become champion, and you both know that’s the truth.
