How I HUNTED a Hardcore Minecraft SMP

I was looting an abandoned base on the Unstable SMP when something strange happened randomly. I got attacked. Oh, okay. So, like, but that wasn’t the strange part. I get attacked all the time. What was strange was when these players immediately started running from the fight that they started and then a new player joined the fight. All right, so who are we? This player was invisible and had full Netherite armor, which is incredibly rare on our server. Elbow. He’s so doomed. I’m so doomed. Just so so doomed. With my elytra and my mace, I could basically just control any fight. But I was still confused. Not only did these players think that it was a good idea to fight me for some reason. But Netherite isn’t just a little bit rare, it’s practically extinct. This whole situation made no sense. Like who who are you? We’re just Invis Mafia cloning out here. This is the best assassin on the entire server and we hired him just to kill you, Wimbleu. We hate you that much. We paid him like a stack of diamonds. So hunt you down and kill you. So is that why he’s standing on an obsidian pillar scared of me right now? Okay. Comparing him to his Something was off. Yeah, just like that. N get me the out of here. They had set up a redstone rail gun. If I hadn’t swapped for my totem of undying, I would have instantly died. Luckily, none of them chased after me. They probably didn’t have elytras. But those players had hired an assassin on me. An assassin who had netherite, which is not a thing that people on the Unstable SMP just have anymore. You see, a while back, there was a team called the Mafia that tried to rule our entire server. They did this through having a massive army, an army that needed netherite. So, ever since their defeat, there’s basically been no naturally spawning Netherite left on our server. They mined almost all of it. But what’s even stranger is that the mafia was always invisible to hide their identities, a constant symbol of their power and influence over the players of the server, and their leaders would always wear eye chest plates, just like the player that was attacking me. If I wanted to figure out who the assassin was and also survive, I would need to go on the offensive. So, I drank an invisibility potion and prepared to head back. Why do I have arrows sticking out of me? dying. What we paid you for? What’s he saying? What’s he saying? Yeah. Time for Don’t worry, it’s all part of the process. What process? Process. We would have dead. I mean, you are like really good, really good bounty hunter. So, I mean, I trust you. But I think we got to go back to our bases for now. I need to do some mining, I guess. I’m running low damage now, but I’m I can’t get back to mining, bro. I love mining so much. Favorite thing to do in the server, bro. It’s so Oh, there he goes. Oh, there he goes. All right. See you guys. To go mining. To go mining. I’m not I’m kind of busy right now. I’m really really busy. I’ll do the dishes later. Yeah. Okay. Oh my god. I followed this player all the way back to his base. Where he then went on a mining trip. I wanted to interrogate him for information on who this assassin was and where the rest of his teammates were so I could take care of them. But I’m in no condition to be making any threats right now. I would need some leverage. All right. So, we got the Lion G, Freddy Fazington, and Ferninand Fern [Music] for What? Oh, what? There we go. There we go. I’m a genius. So, now they’re dangling over [Music] lava after waiting for like 20 minutes. Oh, bro. That was a really good mining trip. Actually, was really nice. Like, this will be Hello, Caleb. M22. My dogs. So, your parrot is in a secure location, and as long as you cooperate, you’ll get both your dogs and your parrot back. Who is the the assassin that you you you hired on me? Oh, that guy. Um, I have no idea what you’re talking about, honestly. I don’t know what you’re talking about. I don’t know what assassin. I don’t know what word even means. Hey, no. He kind of just like appeared one day like Batman behind us and then he was like just there and he offered to do stuff for he offered to do stuff for a payment but I don’t know where like he is now. [Music] Uh, hey. So, you want to have like a nice conversation together? You know, I feel like we could really get along good. Like we’re really just like fully copying the mafia, huh? All right. You know what? Uh, so I don’t have Death Strider. We’re We’re also copying the not talking part. I’m a very talkative fighter. Okay. Well, I guess this mystery will go forever unsolved. Goodbye. The assassin had used an ender pearl stasis chamber to teleport out of the way of my attack at the last moment. An attack that would have probably instantly killed him. Clearly, he knew that I was going to be at this base, and he probably would be waiting for me at the next base as well. But I have no other leads, so I pretty much had to go to one of the bases that Caleb M22 told me about. But at the very least, I could get some better gear first to be a bit more prepared. So, I took a stop at the infinity base to finish looting it. Nah. Why is there a trial chamber in here? I started by flying around the crater, looting anything I found, and clearing the trial chamber that was completely obliterated, but I was able to get a bunch of wind charges. Then, I headed back to where I was looting earlier, grabbing a bunch of tipped arrows and shulkers. Is this a hole to the void? Yeah, GG, bro. Next, I headed back to the area where I had almost died. And I found the rail gun that they had used to pop my totem. Oh, wow. I mean, I guess I didn’t notice it, so I guess it was pretty inconspicuous. I cannot believe I didn’t notice. This is the most obvious. Whatever. I then began harvesting the rail gun that they used for its redstone components. And I have now fit an entire rail gun in like two shulker boxes. This is a very balanced game mechanic. Then I brewed a bunch of useful potions. And while they were brewing, I headed back into the crater to mine the diamonds that were exposed by whatever nuked this. Using those diamonds and an enchanting setup I found, I crafted myself some new boots as well as a full set of backup armor. And after this grinding, I felt confident enough to take on whatever the assassin could throw at me and began heading to the next base. 10,000 east. [Music] Huh? What? [Music] Yo, so you’re not slick. Oh, yo, this is not work, bro. You are Why Why are we This player probably wasn’t the assassin. He didn’t have the green trims, but he still had full netherite and was invisible. Okay, so uh I am going to interrogate you now. Yeah, no, no worries. After dying, this player had dropped a load stone compass. Usually compasses just track your spawn point, but a load stone compass tracks a specific set of coordinates somewhere in the world. And after looting all of the gear that these two players somehow had, I now had a choice to make. Head to the coordinates of the third base that I knew of or follow the load stone compass and see where it takes me. [Music] Uh Hey man, I’ve been expecting you. This is not horror, bro. I don’t know, man. The coordinated turnaround. I think that was pretty hor. Hey, listen. Listen, I know why you’re here. And I just want to I just want to put it out there that you and I aren’t really enemies anymore. But the people who are paying me are almost dead. And so, I mean, dead people can’t want anything. So, I’m not really going to be doing that anymore. So, you’re giving up on killing me. Uh this just seems very suspicious. I mean uh how can I trust that you’re not going to immediately try and hunt me and kill me again? Uh like you’ve done for the last like you’ve been doing. You see, when the Invis Mafia disbanded, they kind of just left all of their stuff, and since there was nobody around to pick it back up for them. What is that? I picked it back up for them. This is uh this is the portrait that was here when I got here. Uh I’m not sure who it’s from, who it’s of, but I don’t know. It looks cool. Admire, but do not touch. Anyway, Will then showed me around their base. They had converted the mafia palace into a functional base, and they were incredibly rich. Will even said that this was only a small fraction of their wealth. The rest of it being stored in Shulker boxes, tucked away safely in players ender chests. I was going to steal, but Will was keeping a pretty close eye on me. And it probably would be a bad idea to get on his bad side again. So, if I kill the last guy that hired you, you’ll stop hunting me is what you’re saying. Yeah, pretty much. I I would have nobody that wants you dead anymore. And if if I’m already paid and they’re dead, then there’s no reason for me to hunt you down anymore. Okay, they’re off the server. It doesn’t matter what they want. That seems easier than dealing with killing all your minions here and then killing you cuz you’re probably It is easier than that. Sets. Um. All right. All right. Okay. Good luck, man. Okay. I shower in experience bottles. really think that I needed whatever payment they were giving me. The only reason I’m doing this is for the love of the game. And what I’m planning is something far bigger than the invisible mafia. And once I become the person who killed Wemu, oh man, that reputation’s going to get me far.
