25+ Build Ideas in Minecraft to Make Your World Cozy
See this village behind me? What about this crystal mine? Perhaps this cozy lakehouse? Well, all of these and more could be in your world. So, grab a warm drink and relax while Millie and I take you through 25 plus build ideas that can make your world extra cozy. And don’t forget to let me know which is your favorite down in the comments. One of my favorite ways to make my worlds cuter is by turning practical areas like a farm or garden into a cozy little oasis. There are so many fun details that you can add to do this and I’m going to show you a few. Starting with this adorable garden bench. What I’m doing here is just creating a mini tree stump type thing with all of these blocks. And I’m trying to go a little bit slower than usual so that you guys can follow along. That is the trunk of our tree done. Let’s just add in a couple extra details around here with a few stairs. Oh, actually, let’s do a trap door here instead. So, to build the seating part of the bench, we’re going to have to place a block and then place our trap doors along the bottom like this. And then we can get rid of this block and then add in our sides just like this. Oh, I’m in the way. Now, we just need to do the same all the way along the back here. And hopefully, okay, I had a feeling that was going to happen. Now, all that’s left to do here is add in some leaves and a little mix of flowers and grass. And then we should be pretty much done with this one. And by using some chains and trap doors, you have the cutest little swing bench that adds much more charm to your gardens. Another dreamy build you can add is a trellis. They make any garden feel like something right out of a fairy tale. And I’m just marking out the post for these. They are two blocks between the front pieces and then three blocks between the side pieces. Now for the roofs, we’re going to make a little pattern with the slabs and then some campfires and trap doors. I think what I’m going to do here is just join up all of these pieces with our slabs first and then go in and do the details with the trap doors and the campfires. So now with the outline of the roof done, we’re just going to go in with our oak trap doors and fill in the gaps. And now it’s time to add in a few leaves. So, we’re going to punch out a few of these blocks here and just replace them with aelia leaves. And make sure to add a few hanging down to make sure it looks like they’re trailing. Now, let’s line our trellis with some of these leaves and add some details by adding in these trap doors and some signs. Now, we just need to go ahead and add in a bunch of flower pots to finish this off. And of course, cover the ground in some grass and flowers, too. And just like that, you have the most adorable little trellis, perfect for your gardens. You can also even add charm to where you’re growing things with these adorable raised garden beds. You see how much difference just framing them makes. But now it’s time to just add some finishing touches by adding a few blades of grass and a bunch of poppies. Just a few details like this and you’ll have your gardens looking so much cuter. Depending on your space, you can also add elegance and storybook feel to your base by building a greenhouse. I personally love green houses with Victorian inspiration, which is what I’m showing you here. They add such a classic sweet feeling, and you can keep your crops safe inside. Lighting them up also means that you can farm well into the night without having to worry about anything scary bothering you. So, I’m just going to close up this archway right here with some slabs and then create these again on the front here. So, we’re going to go up 1 2 3 or technically four. And then we’re going to add in stairs this way and stairs this way, which creates a lovely archway. Then for these sides, we’re going to go up one 2 3 4 5 6 7. Same again right here. And then in the middle here, we’re going to go up nine. So we already know that that’s seven. So we just need to add two more. And I’m not sure if I mentioned it, but this is 14x 20. You can probably make it bigger or smaller depending on what you really want to build, but that is how big this one is. For the roof here, we’re going to start by doing a stone brick detail around the edge. Luckily, we are not in survival, so there’s no fear of me falling, but I still don’t enjoy doing roofs. Let’s just bring this all the way up. And then we can add this polished andight slab detail along the front here. Is that six? Yes, it is. And then let’s just do another layer of that down here. And our final detail is going to be some of this. Okay, that looks great. Let’s get rid of that piece. And then we’re just going to do this with all of our stairs. Perfect. Now, right here, we’re going to make the roof look a little bit more interesting by adding in another triangle on the front here and on the back, too. But we’ll get there. Then, let’s go across right here. Then add in another layer of these spruce stairs, making sure they go up just like the ones right here. And make sure to get rid of these pieces underneath. Now, let’s just fill in these layers and join this part up to this part. Now, we just need to do the same thing on the remaining three quarters. And then we should have a lovely completed roof just like this. Now, inside we’re going to detail the walls by adding in some of these oak logs. And we’re going up four for these ones. So, pretty much everywhere that there is already a post, we’re just adding an oak log in front of it. Then, in between each of these posts, we’re going to add in a stripped spruce log. To join up these posts, we’re going to use some spruce slabs. And we’re going to bring these sides out two blocks and then just one along the edge. And finally, for this part, let’s add in some glass panes for our walls or windows, I guess. Now, with all of that done, we can mark out where we want to put our crops in. You guys can pretty much do this anywhere you want to, but this is the design I’m going for. And I’m just leaving these gaps right here just so that we can place some water. So, let’s make sure we’re turning all of this into farmland and then we can cover up the water with some trap doors. I’m going to go for beetroot either side on this side and then carrots in the middle and then on this side I’m going to do carrots either side and beetroot in the middle. And then in this part, I’m just going to alternate between beetroot and carrots. Now, you could leave it here, but I like to add a little bit more to my build. So, I’m going to go around the edges and add in some fencing and some leaves just to make it feel a bit more full in here. Also on the outside, I’m going to run around and just add in some moss blocks in between each of the posts. And then just some flowers. And of course, this would not be an M build without absolutely covering the thing in leaves. And to be honest, what better build to do this to than the greenhouse. That is looking so good so far. But let’s get over here and make this an official entrance. Let’s also make sure we’ve got a couple lanterns inside just in case for the night times. And there we have it, a perfect storybook greenhouse. Let me know down in the comments what you would plan in here. One of the first things you build in Minecraft is your house. And no matter what the biome is, no matter what blocks you have, there are a couple of really easy things that you can do to make any house look so much cuter. I always like to vary the blocks that I’m using in my walls to add texture. Gradients like moss to mossy cobblestone to mossy stone brick to brick add so much character to any wall. and varying the blocks you build with can do so much to your house. And just like that, we’ve taken this boring old wall and turned it into this lovely textured wall. Adding things like fences, walls, trap doors, even stairs, and slabs can also add dimension and depth to your builds. So, let me show you how to do that. Now, let’s add some barrels right here. So, the texture is a little bit different. And already, this should be looking a lot better. So, what we’re going to do now is add in some oak logs right here. So, the windows are even further set back. And then let’s add a barrel on top for extra details. Now, this part isn’t 100% necessary, but I do really like these windows from McCall’s windows. So, we’re going to add those in because they just look a lot cuter than glass panes. Now, let’s add even more detail by adding in some stairs on each of the barrels here. Then, using our palisades from I’m going to have to double check what mod that’s from. And some spruce fences. Okay, the palisades are from a mod called decorative blocks, and that one is so, so handy. There are so many cool things in that one. So, definitely check it out. This is already looking so much better, but let’s go ahead and add in some moss blocks in front of the windows. Let’s add some plants and some trap doors. And let’s also switch these slabs out for some upside down stairs. You can’t tell me that that doesn’t look 10 times better than what we started with. Lastly, window details matter so much whether you’re using modded blocks or not. giving them things like supports and shutters and whatnot can do a whole lot for your build. So, let’s show you how. So, just adding these supports with a flower box on top has already added so much character to the windows. But now, we’re going to go in with our spruce palaces. And you could use fences for this, but I just really love this block. And to finish this part off, we’re going to add in some spruce stairs. And with just a few small changes, we’ve gone from something very, very simple to something much cuter. So, here’s those tips in action. We’re taking this super simple house and turning it into something way more detailed and adorable. And just like that, it’s giving cozy livedin charm instead of just plain starter box. Honestly, it’s kind of crazy what a few little changes can do. You also don’t even need a house to add a cozy build to your world. A sweet little campsite does the job just as well. So, that’s our campfire added. Let’s add some seating. So, I’m just going to add in these spruce slabs and then the stripped spruce logs either side. And then I’m going to go around and just add in a bunch of these fences to have a nice back on our chairs. Let’s also add a couple smaller ones with just a few slabs. And that’s the campfire part of our campsite done. So now let’s move on to building our actual tent. And it must already be super cozy because Millie has finally joined us. And I’m just building out the frame of our tent here using some spruce planks and spruce stairs as well as spruce fences. Now, let’s go across 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 and do the same on this side with our spruce stuff. Now, with our tent, let’s add in a bed, a couple bedside tables, some candles for lighting right here, and a lovely plant. Let’s also add in a lantern up here and here because it is pretty dark under here, and then add in some barrels for storage. Let’s also add a few birch leaves because it’s not an M build without some leaves on the roof. And actually, let’s add in some extra details on the sides here with some spruce stairs and spruce trap doors. So, that is our area pretty much done. We’re just going to add in some extra decorative pieces like a bunch of these hay bales and a bunch of these barrels. Let’s also add in some dirt path. And with all of those details and the soft glow of the campfire, this adds such a dreamy autumn feel. From our adorable hanging swing to our cozy campsite, these upgrades are a simple and easy way to upgrade any home base. It just goes to show how a little can go a long way when it comes to upgrading your world. Now, do you have a big cave that you’ve absolutely mined all of the ore out of and now it’s an eyesore? Not anymore you don’t. Repurposing old caves into crystal mines are one of the cutest things in my opinion. So, let’s show you how. Okay, I said let’s show you how, but this is pretty much just covering the entire cave in crystals. But there are some extra details, so pay attention. So, with all of our amethyst placed, let’s add some different details. I’m going to go ahead and use some of this magenta glass to create some sort of amethyst like things. And I’m also going to add in some clusters around it to make sure it’s glowing, too. Then down here, let’s add a teeny tiny dock. By teeny tiny, I really did mean teeny tiny, but I’m going to break out some of this clay here so that we have a nice walkway to our dock. Millie, if you could not sit where I want to place a block, that would be great. Thank you. All right, we are already looking so much cuter, but let’s add in some lily pads to our little pond here. Of course, not every cave is going to have this, but if you have one super similar, I can’t recommend this more. Let’s also add in a few barrels so it looks like somebody has been here. And obviously that somebody is only ever me, but you know what I mean. And finally, I’m going to add some running water to make it look like there is a bunch of waterfalls. And I think it’s safe to say that we’ve successfully restored some life into this once ransacked cave, especially with how sparkly the amethyst looks. It is such a cute addition to any world. Who said villages have to be boring or even normal? This apple village is perfect for autumn or even just as any addition to a world where you’re going for a cottage core or fantasy type vibe. So that’s the base of the apple house. Let’s add in some bits on the side to make it look a little bit more rounded. And now that’s done. We need to round out the top. So let’s add another layer to the top of this part here. Also add in some blocks in these corners. And then just close up this hole. And that is how we should be looking so far. But to really make it look like an apple, we’re going to add in the stalk. So, let’s do an oak wood block, then a spruce stair. Then, we’re going to come out just like this. Get rid of that one. And then place a trapoor on top. And just like that, we have a cute little apple. And if you want to mix it up a little, you can add in some leaves up here. And then some extra details around the door and some windows. And then you have something that’s a little more of a housey apple. You could also cut out a section of the apple and then build up the insides with some birchwood and it will look like somebody’s taken a bite out of the apple. Just like this. How adorable is that? Then if you have the let’s do vinary mod, you can plant a bunch of apple trees to complete the area. With those all grown in, you should have an area that looks a little bit like this. I like to imagine that little mice or rabbits would live in an apple village like this one. Just imagine it like a cute little village full of furry animals on the edge of a whispering wood. Tired of traditional houses? Want to be safe from mobs, salespeople, and unwanted guests? Well, try this lakehouse. By setting up a house in a lake on stilts, you add so much character and charm to your home base, as well as some added safety. [Music] So now with our outline done, let’s get down and add in some details with these barrels. And then we can start building up the walls for our lakehouse. So the first step for the actual house is to add in some palisades or fences to each of these barrels. Then on top of each of these posts, we’re just going to add in another oak log. Then for our flooring, we’re just going to fill this entire thing in with oak planks or oak slabs, sorry. And now it’s time for the walls. So we’re pretty much just going to run around this entire thing and fill it in with some stripped oak logs. With the walls done, you’re going to add in three more blocks up like this. And then we’re going to add in the roof. So, we’ll bring the stairs out just like this. And then do the classic roof thing where you just go back and forth and add the stairs upside down and the normal way. And of course, we’re going all the way along and filling the entire thing in. Then, if you’re feeling really fancy, you can add in a chimney. So, I’m going to do some bricks there. Then, do a little double wall moment. Build this part up a little bit more. Add one of these on top. Add a campfire. And then add spruce trap doors all the way around. And just like that, you have a super simple chimney. Now, we’re going to go around and just add in a bunch of moss all the way around the outside and plant these with a mix of normal ferns and large ferns. I’ve of course covered the roof in leaves, added a couple nice windows, and added some lanterns. Oh, and some flower pots. Now, I just want to build across here with my stairs. Let’s get rid of this one here. And then add in some spruce trap doors so that we have a little dock moment going down into the water because we’re definitely going to need a boat with this one. And with that, we have the perfect little lakehouse safe from absolutely everything. Now, a library is a wonderful place to keep an enchantment setup. And it’s a charming addition to any world, especially when you make it extra whimsical with stained glass. So, now let’s get into building up these towers. So, I’m going to go up one, two, three, four, and then a stone brick on top. And then I’m just going to do that same thing all the way along, but making sure to mix in some of these mossy stone bricks and of course the normal and cracked stone [Music] bricks. Now, with these two post built, I’m just going to go in and make this wall to taller. And then we’re going to add in some upside down stone brick stairs. And then another couple layers of these stone bricks and cracked stone bricks in the center here. We’re going to go up 1 2 3 4 5 6 7. And then we’re just going to go up like this until we get to the middle. And then let’s do the same on the other side. With that done, just go ahead and fill in this entire thing. And with every side done, let’s add some details. So down here, I’m going to add in a little bit of an awning type thing with these fences and palisades. Perfect. Now, let’s punch some holes in this wall right here. Get ourselves in the middle and add in some spruce doors. Then out here, let’s add in a little bit of a balcony. We’re also going to make a little roof situation over the top of these middle parts. And then line all of these towers with upside down stairs. And under here, we’re going to add in a bunch of these fence gates and open them all up so it looks like there’s nice supports there. Then for extra details, we’re going to alternate between the spruce trap doors and spruce slabs. Then finally join these up with some upside down stairs. I’ve gone ahead and added some greenery and we are looking super cute so far. I also joined both sides of the roof up and added some fences up here and a little bit of a ladder so that we can actually get up here and take a little look around. Well, nothing here, but in your world, there will be something nice to look at. With our main structure done, let’s add in some stained glass windows. And these are part of a mod. I can’t remember off the top of my head which they are. I’ll have to double check. One second. Okay, they are from the chipped mod. Surprise, surprise. One of my favorite mods. They are super, super handy. But if you don’t have the mod, it’s fine. You can just use normal stained glass. It just might not look as cute as this. Then on this side, I’m just going to do a slightly different design. adding those all the way around the edge here and then the circle in the middle. Then with the addition of some bookshelves, we have an absolutely lovely library and enchanting area. Of course, you won’t get max levels with this layout, but I didn’t want to cover up the stained glass at all. So, that’s why I’ve done it like this. But you guys are of course welcome to do what you want with your own interiors. Now, not to get too hung up on houses shaped like food or nuts, but this acorn house is an adorable addition to any mountain base. Now I can go down here and add in my stairs though. So we’re going to go upside down. Just bring that all the way up until it attaches with the post and get rid of these extra pieces. Then we’re going to add a chain across here and then add in a couple grindstones to make it look like there’s something that this will be hanging from. Then we’re going to add in a couple chains hanging from the grindstone. And then we’ll connect that up with the acorn in a second. So, this is going to be a little bit strange since if you were building this in survival, you’d have to build from the top down or maybe build all the way up and then build from the bottom up. But since I’m not in survival, I’m going to do it the easy way and do it the top down. So, I’m just going to add in those two stairs like that. And then we’re going to build out with our dark oak slabs all the way around the edge. Then, we’re going to come down a level and come out there and here, but not add in an extra block on this corner here. Then we’re going to bring this down like this and do the same on all four corners. Now we just need to get under here and go one, two, three, and then stairs on the bottom. Then we’ll figure out where the windows and the doors and everything are going to be after we’ve got this filled in. Then to fill in the bottom, we’re going to do some of these stripped bits in the inside. And then add in more upside down stairs all the way along the bottom. And let’s change some of these so that it’s not so connected. Now, let’s add some dark oak trap doors for a little bit of detail and some texturing with the spruce planks in a few of these gaps. For our final details, we’re going to add in some windows and some flower boxes, making sure to cover those up with a bunch of dark oak trap doors. Then, we’re going to add some oak trap doors as shutters. And on the back side, we’re just going to add in a couple spruce doors to have an actual entrance to the place. You can’t tell me that this isn’t the cutest little thing you’ve ever seen. Aside from Millie, of course. That is our acorn build complete. Don’t ask me how you’re supposed to get in and out of there. Storage areas can sometimes be the least cute areas in any world. So, here are some ideas on how to make them as cute and cozy as possible. Keeping your storage in a cottage looking house is a great way to add a village feel to your world while also keeping it quaint and practical. Just remember, if you have a little fox following you around, building may take longer. Even when I’m able to just fly around, she’s still trying to get in the way. So, on this one, we’re going to do a little double window moment on the front here. and then just a single window on each side. Then we can add a brick wall on each corner and then build up our spruce fences and add spruce gates all the way along the top. Actually, I think I’m going to place these here. And now that’s done, we’ve just got to build up these sides here so that we can add in a roof. And what we’re going to do for this one is go for a spruce stair edge and then fill in the center pieces with some brick stairs. So that’s the roof done, complete with leaves, of course. And now I’m going to run around and add in another one of these right here and add in some grass blocks, trap doors, and eventually some flowers. Let me change that out for a fence gate. And then let’s do this. Add in some campfires, I think some signs. So, now let’s add in our doors and a little bit of dirt path, some lanterns, and finally a chimney. Now, it’s a little bit of a tight squeeze, but it is the perfect space for a bunch of storage. If you wanted, you could make this a couple blocks wider, but for now, that is our lovely cottage storage house finished, complete with a very sleepy Millie. So, a treehouse is another great option. It adds versal interest and fits in so well with biomes like jungles, beaches, or even deserts. So, now we’ve cleared the top of this tree, we can go ahead and build up the walls. These walls are going to be made out of palisades from the decorative blocks. So, if you don’t have that, I’m sorry. You you’re going to have to get the mod. Or alternatively, you can just use any other kind of wall because that’s essentially what this block is. It’s just a spruce wall. [Music] Then what we’re going to do here for the roof is just add all of these leaves back in. And with that done, we can go kind of crazy just filling in all of these holes right here, making it look a little bit more treelike. I’ve just added an extra smaller hut here. And we are pretty much done with the base. So now I’m just going to add in some spruce trap doors all the way along here and add in some spruce fencing. Let me just stand up on here if I can, just so I can add a few more of these so we’ve got somewhere to put the fences. That already looks so much better. But let’s get in here and add in some chains and lanterns just to make it look a little bit cooler in here. And with the lanterns done, we have this big ladder on the backside going all the way up to the smaller area. Just like that, we’ve got a couple storage areas. And then up here, we have a little bit more storage. Perfect. Of course, you can organize your storage however you want, but that is our treehouse finished. And finally, underground storage can be both out of sight and out of mind when you’re not accessing it, but so cute when you need to spend time in there organizing your chests. So, that is pretty much our frame done. Let’s just join these up to these. Easy peasy. Then, let’s just add in some upside down stairs and chests all the way down this gap. In these spaces, we’re going to go for a little crisscross method with barrels. Not sure if I’ve done this the easiest way ever, and the answer is no. I have not. There we go. That works. And then let’s just do the same on the other side. Next up, we’ve got to add a little roof to this thing. So, let’s add our upside down stairs first. And then we have a good place to add our normal size stairs or normal oriented stairs. Then, let’s just squeeze here and hope that goes in the right way. Thank goodness. Then, let’s add our second layer of stairs. Then, let’s just fill this in as far as we can. And then we’ll just fill in the rest with just normal spruce planks because nobody is going to know. Now we can go ahead and add in a couple lanterns and a couple barrels on the outside. Let me grab those. Then let’s add in some of these tiny flower pots that kind of look like little barrels. And after covering this thing in leaves, we have a super simple but super cute cave storage area. I hope you found some inspiration in these structures. From creative village concepts to stained glass libraries, even to creative storage solutions, there are so many fun ways to make your world come alive. So, let me know what sort of structures you like to add to your worlds. Plugging your portal into a tree immediately turns it into something straight out of a fantasy novel. It’s cute, it’s cottagecore, and the vibes of crawling through a hollow tree into another world are unmatched. So, that is exactly what we’re doing here. The trickiest part of this one is definitely going to be getting this stump correct, though. Let’s add in maybe a sideways stair here. Then, let’s do a little slab. And then some trap doors. These trap doors are from the chipped mod, but you can just use normal oak trap doors. Let’s also add another thing of strip spruce right here. And then we can go ahead and add in some spruce fences all the way down the side. Once you have your tree stump looking exactly how you want it, make sure to add in some fence gates along the front so that anything scary that comes out of the portal can’t make it into your world. And now we got to add in our branches, which again will kind of be a little bit of personal preference, but you can kind of follow along with me if you want to. I’m just sort of doing it randomly and hoping for the best. Once you have your branches looking pretty good, you’re probably fine to go in with leaves and get it all fleshed out. This part again is another case of just randomly placing everything and really hoping for the best. But you do have the guide of our branches to kind of show you where you should be placing the leaves. But in general, we are just spamming them. Then presuming your build is on some kind of grass, you’re going to add in some dirt paths just like that. And I’m going to add in a few blocks of grass so that we can add in some ferns and grass and whatnot just to make it look a little bit more natural. Then to add some extra magic, I’m going to go in with some amethyst crystals. You could technically leave this part out if you don’t have silk touch in your survival world, but if you do have it, definitely add them. Let’s also make sure we have some good lighting up here in the tree. And finally, light our portal. How cute is that? All right, portal number two. Caves are also a great place to put Nether portals. Surrounded by moss and glowberries and tucked into an amethyst cluster, you can’t get much cuter than disguising the swirling purples in these beautiful gems. Now, with the amethyst in place, let’s add in some calite. Now, to cover our geode, I’m going to use some of this smooth bassel and some of these cobble deep slate stairs. You could probably just use cobble deep slate if you wanted for this, but I really like the texture of this. And pretty much just keep going with this part until it looks good. All right, perfect. Now, let’s add in some of these amethyst clusters and of course get this thing lit. Our final step here is just adding in some moss blocks and also some different aelas and just some random grass blocks. Not grass blocks, grass grasses. I don’t know what to call them. And that is our amethyst geode portal completed. I almost feel like these two definitely belong in the same world. But let’s move on to our next portal. When it comes to Minecraft, you can’t get much cuter than the cherry blossom biome. So, here’s one last portal option using these rosy blossoms. So, before we add the actual cherry blossom stuff, I’m just going to cover up the back with the stripped oak logs. And then we’re going to add in these cherry trap doors to cover the back. That might actually work better if we do it this way so that it’s flush up against the back of the portal. Now, let’s cover the top with some upside down cherry stairs and cover these sides with a mix of cherry trap doors. These ones are from the chipped mod, by the way. So, if you don’t have that, you should get it because it’s a great mod. On the stairs here, I’m going to add in a couple of these flower pots and fill those up with cherry saplings. Now, I’m going to build out of the sides here and create some branches. Completely forgot what the word for that was for a second. Now, let’s connect this up with our back piece right here. And fill in the top of this with our cherry trap doors. Let’s also get some leaf details down here on the floor and just fill in some of this gray flooring and pretend it’s all grass. So now let’s add in some cute benches. Maybe some of these pink petals. Maybe another bench right over here. And a few pieces of grass. And now all that’s really left to do is to cover this thing in leaves. So we’re going to keep the leaves pretty flat for this one. Not going to go too too crazy. And then let’s do the same on the other side. And let’s also take out some of these trap doors so we can add in some leaves here too. And with our portal lit, that is our cherry blossom portal finished. Let me know which one you’ll be using in your world. Transforming things that already exist in your world is a really easy and fairly material efficient way to bring charm to your projects. For example, this jungle temple. I’m just starting by smoothing out the sides and swapping out some of the cobblestone for stone bricks. It’s a super subtle change, but it’s already going to make it look a lot more polished while still keeping that original ancient feel. We are looking a little bit boring right now, but don’t worry. Let’s get some detail in here by first adding in some stairs all the way up to the top. And now let’s add in something a little more interesting on the top. In between these posts, let’s add in some upside down stairs. Then we can go ahead and add a roof with our mossy and normal cobblestone. And just like that, we are already looking so much better than before. Now, to really spruce it up, I’ve added in this little post thing right here. And then I’m going to surround this with a cobblestone wall and fill this in with a campfire or four. Then we can go ahead and add in some spruce details. So, I’m just going to add slabs all the way around because that makes it a lot easier to then do this and add in our trap doors in between. And let’s do the same on this level. And then to really finish this detailing off, we’re going to add a bunch of leaves. And with just a little TLC, we’ve taken a boring old jungle temple and made it into a cuter, cozier, and more detailed feature of the world. So, next up, mine shafts. They are dead useful. However, they are the polar opposite of anything I would usually consider cozy, but that doesn’t need to be true. Here are a couple easy ways that you can make a mine shaft both functional and cozy. Starting by switching out the oak for spruce because everyone knows I am absolutely addicted to spruce wood and it is just the nicer tone of the oak. I actually don’t know how many wood colors there are now, but you know what I mean. Next up, of course, you can add in a few lanterns because most mine shafts aren’t in a lush cave. We have been very lucky here. You can also add some spruce trap door details and a bunch of barrels to make it look like people have been here. See, already this looks like a mine shaft that I want to visit. Way more than the boring old oak ones. The last thing you can do is add in some safety railings. And this one doesn’t really need it because there isn’t really anywhere to fall, but you guys get the idea. Doesn’t that just feel so much better? Now, villages are one of my favorite things to transform, but you don’t have to spend a whole 100 days getting super involved with these transformations like I do. Just a couple quick tweaks bring these from boring places for trading to a cozy spot in your world that you will love to spend time in. See, just adding something as simple as a chimney can make this look way more interesting. Something else you can do is add in some extra pieces of cobblestone and whatnot and just make it look like there’s a little bit more texture going on. If you want to make your village extra cozy, you can go ahead and change out some of the oak wood for spruce wood. But that is one of my personal preferences, of course. It can also be a good idea to add in an oak trap door and a fence gate just for some extra window details. And if you really want to put the extra effort in, you can change the oak roofs for spruce roofs. Isn’t that already looking so much cozier? Something else that is super easy and super cheap to do is decorate the village farms. So, we’re just going to alternate between the trap doors and the slabs. And that’s pretty much it. and with some freshly grown crops. That farm is looking so much better. If you want your village to feel a little bit more enclosed, just run around with a bunch of oak saplings and make that happen. Already much better. And finally, adding hay bales, barrels, even these little wheelbarrows around a village can make it feel so much cuter and so much more lived in. I guarantee there’s one structure dotted around your world that you haven’t really given much thought to, and I suspect it’s shipwrecks. You can turn them into all sorts of things, but today I’m going to show you how you can turn this one into a little trade outpost. I just added the mask back on. Let’s add in a little seating area right down here. And no, this isn’t actually the seats. This is just the area for the campfire. For our campfire seating, we’re just going to keep it really simple and just use a slab surrounded by fences. Then over here, we’re going to get started on a little awning. So, let’s go up one, two, three, maybe. And then we’ll do another post right here. And then build this up backwards. There we go. Okay, that is what I was going for. Then under the awning, we can add a cute bench. And let’s see what else we can do. I think naturally our next step here is to absolutely cover this thing in leaves. Make it look like it’s been here a little while and everything’s just gotten a little overgrown. And since this is meant to be a little bit of a trading outpost, it makes sense to have a little mini dock here for our visitors. And with the addition of many barrels, our shipwreck outpost is done. One of my favorite things about Minecraft is how much already exists in the world that when you give a little TLC can outshine any custom build. Mineshaft, shipwrecks, temples. Sometimes you don’t need to look any further than your own backyard. So, as you may know, I love a good interior. They’re just so much fun to add and they make your builds feel so much more complete and of course lived in. So, let’s start with a potioners workshop. Starting with this little barrel thing that I’m cooking up here. So, let’s finish this thing off by adding in some stairs on both of these sides and then adding in some trap doors to cover up these barrel parts. Not that they really need covering, but I feel like having the extra dimension will also look a little bit better. Oh, and I almost forgot to add in the tap. Now, I’m just going to add in some other barrels just sort of laying around the place. I’m also thinking of doing a little barrel stack right about here. And then let’s bring that up. Add in another load of these. Gosh, barrels are so hard to place sometimes because they open if you’re not crouching. Let’s also add in some trap doors on top of these just to finish them off. And let’s see how we’re looking. Okay, still very empty, but pretty good. Let’s add a little bookshelf in this corner. And then let’s also add in some tables right here and here. And we’re also going to need another large table in the middle to add in all of our brewing potions or brewing stands. Sorry. I’m going to mix it up a little and put a couple candles right here. And also add in a brewing stand over here with some bookstacks. Oh, and I almost forgot to put the chairs in. Let’s also add a little pot of nether wart. Oh, never mind. You can’t put them in pots. Ignore me. But I can put some extra shelving up here. So, let’s do double barrel right here. Then add in some spruce gates to make it look like they’re nice and supported. Then we’re going to add in doors to cover up the sides. And let’s also add one of these. So, here’s how this room is looking. Now, let’s get a roof on this thing and add some extra details. And we’ll see how it looks after we’ve done that. So, I added in some lantern, some glowberries, and some extra buttons and some floor details. And I think it’s safe to say that we’re done here. You can do an interior like this on a village house in your house or even just a shed near where you keep your nether wart. Wherever you put it, though, it is an excellent addition. So, if you are an animal lover, here’s how you can use a villager’s library to reflect that in your Minecraft world. Starting by sectioning off some areas to keep your animals in. And with that done, we’re going to make sure you still got a little area to sleep in. And by little area, I really do mean little, but this one is all about the animals. Now, let’s make sure these pens are sectioned off in the middle. And now, we’re going to change out all of this cobblestone flooring into a mix of normal dirt and rough dirt. Okay, I’m actually using coarse dirt. Completely forgot that that was my plan here. And if you’re wondering what rough dirt is, that is part of the chipped mod, which I have mentioned quite a few times during this video. I probably should have changed the floor before I added in all of these fences and stuff though, but it’s absolutely fine, I swear. Then we just need to add in a few hay bales and maybe a little fern for some details. And I’ve added some leaves to the roof. And I think we’re done in here. Perfect to put a few chickens or cows or sheep or horses or whatever in. What do you think, Mills? She loves it. Do you enjoy mods like Farmer’s Delight? Do you want to level up your Minecraft kitchen? then boy do I have the interior for you. So I’ve gone ahead and built up our walls with quartz block and barrels. I really like how the barrels kind of look like nice paneling. Then of course for the floor I’ve gone for magenta concrete and white concrete. But let’s start our kitchen design by adding a oven. Let’s just place a double campfire here and then add in some iron bars and then add in some of these. Then we’re going to need to build up the sides here. And I’m going to add in some of these stone pillar trims just to make it look a little bit flat. And those are part of the decorative block mod, I think. Okay. No, I was mistaken. They are part of handcrafted, which is another great detailing mod. Then I’m just going to add in some stairs right here. And now I need to add in some of these pillar trims. But I think what I’m going to have to do here is something like this. Add those all the way down. Get rid of those. And then do that. And we have a very big oven. And I’ve actually opted to switch the magenta out for pink because it was a little bit jarring. But now I’m going to go ahead and add in some counters. So I’m going to add in some barrels right here. And then I’m going to add in some spruce tables all the way along. Now I do want to kind of avoid using modded blocks as much as possible, but the tables are too cute not to use. But if you don’t have the mods, I guess you could probably get away with using trap doors or slabs. And I’m also going to go ahead and do the exact same on this side here. But I am going to add in a couple of farmer’s delight stoves and a pot just in case you do have the mod. Then in the middle here, I’m going to add a big table/ island situation. Let’s add in barrels on each corner for extra details, too. And join those up with the tables. Not forgetting to detail those with the signs, too, so that everything is cohesive. And let’s go ahead and add in some wall cabinets. So, I’m just going to do three on each side here. Then, we’re going to go underneath and add in those spruce fence gates for supports. And on the top and sides, we’re going to go for spruce trap doors. And with some extra clutter, our kitchen is really starting to come together. Now, I just want to go ahead and add in some beams because I feel like that’s really going to pull everything together. And I’m going to leave a gap of two right there. Add in some stairs right here. And then bring those out just to the end of this fig room. And then let’s do the same on the other side. And to finish this room off, I’m just going to add chains and lanterns and flower. Now, I would say that’s a pretty cute, almost vanilla friendly kitchen. I will say though, I’m absolutely loving the pink checkerboard flooring. I might have to do that more often in my challenge videos. Now, are you like me and cannot resist picking up every single flower that you see? If you are, then this florest interior might be just the thing that you need to add to your base. So, just a quick run through of the walls. They are quartz with some stairs and some of our modded stained glass windows. We have some silt, which now let me think, I’m pretty sure is from the twigs mod. Then, we have some light blue concrete powder and of course stone bricks and stone for the flooring. And for the trim here, we’re using birchwood. So, let’s start by adding a little seating area back here that I’m going to call our potting bench. Let’s add in a flower pot. and a poppy that we have potted ourselves, obviously. And then we’re going to add in some fences either side and sort of create a little leafy arch thing around our area. And then let’s top these off with our birch barn trap doors, which are from the chipped mod, but you can just use normal birch doors if you want to. Trap doors even. That is already so adorable. But let’s add in some extra planters over here. So, we’re going to do a little 3x two thing right here. and another one on the other side. Then let’s surround this thing with some of these spruce barn trap doors and do the same on the other side. So, this is of course looking really adorable already, but I do want to add in some cauldrons here full of water because I feel like that just fits what’s going on here. And I’m also going to add one of those in this corner. Although, from over here, you’re not really going to see it. Then, I thought it could be really, really cute to add in some ladders on the wall because they kind of look like trelluses. Let’s add in some of those over here. and add some on these walls here, too. I think the only thing left to do here is add in a little bit of mossy carpet. And h actually, let’s add in a little leaf here, add a flower pot, and then add in some actual Aelia in the flower pot. Now, this is a room that I would spend all day in. In real life and in game, maybe you’re the type of player that likes adventuring to the four corners of your world and collecting things along the way. If so, this might be the perfect addition to your house interiors. So, I’ve added all of the cookers you could possibly need. Now, let’s add some extra details. So, up here, I’ve got a little bit of a marker here for where I want our stairs to go up to. I do really love the color of dark oak, but it is super duper dark, and that is why I have an open roof on this thing right now, so that you guys can actually see what I’m doing. So, with the stairs done, we can go ahead and add in a nice line of this spruce wood, and then fill in this part and add some fences all the way along here. Now, of course, this is a little bit of a pointless balcony, but it’s more about how it looks than the actual function of it. So, the idea here is that everything is a little bit cluttered and chaotic because we are always on the move, but we have every single kind of table we could need and a little bit of storage. And on this side of the house, I’m going to add some bookshelves all the way up to the ceiling. Then, I’m going to add in our smithing table and a couple extra chests. And I’m going to add in some shelving with some other stuff on it. So, let’s go for a brewing stand right here. And let’s do a grindstone underneath. We already have one over here, but that’s fine. Then in the center here, let’s add another loom with an oak slab above it. Then let’s add our lectern over here. Then I’m going to do a little shelf here, a little shelf here, and a little shelf here. And add in some cauldrons and enchanting table. Don’t ask me how we’re meant to reach that from down here. I guess just like that. And with that, you have everything you could possibly need for all of your adventures. Also, don’t ask me what the outside of this build looks like right now. Okay, fine. I’ll show you. Isn’t she just gorgeous? Probably our best build yet. But seriously, this is just meant for a single room in a house, so that’s why I didn’t build a whole house. Sorry. If you’ve ever watched a video of mine, you will know how much I love a good interior. and these are absolutely no exception. Interiors can tell stories that sometimes even the grandest builds cannot. What story do you want to tell? So, walls are a great way to create different areas or spaces in your world, and they can be made super cute themselves. A hedge wall, for example, is a great natural looking way to decorate gardens or the most cottage core of houses. So, I’ve spaced each of these posts five blocks apart. And then on top of each post, I’m going to add in a spruce trap door. Then on the front of each post, I’m going to add in a little spruce button just for a little extra bit of dimension. So the next thing we’re going to do is add in some of these spruce fences or fence gates even and just add those either side of the post. And then just simply fill in the gaps with our Aelia leaves. And as you can see, that took no time at all and it looks gorgeous. Next up, we’re going for stone walls, which are beautiful and timeless. They definitely have a sort of fantasy feel and I love to use them in villages and for around castles. So, there’s our post completed. Again, they are five blocks apart. Now, let’s get these filled in. So, I’m going to go and do some of these mossy cobblestone walls. Then do a little mix of these mossy stone brick walls and normal stone brick walls. And finally, we’re going to finish this off by just lining it with some spruce trap doors. I really love the combination of spruce and stone together. It is just super duper classic and looks great. And now for wood walls. Quintessential to any Minecraft world. I love to use these for farms and gardens. And honestly, anywhere that needs a wall will benefit from one of these. My idea for this one though is to build a much taller one, which is something that I would usually put around an entire village or something. Somewhere that I really want to be safe from pretty much everything. Also, all of these stripped woods look so good together. But now, let’s get over here and add in some detail. So, on top of some of these spruce logs here, I’m going to do some spruce slabs. In fact, on top of all of the spruce logs, I’m doing spruce slabs. Then, on top of the oak, I’m going to do a couple oak slabs and also oak fences. And for the dark oak, just fences. Now, you could leave it just like this, which is a little bit scary because it’s kind of spiky, or you can add in a bunch of leaves and make it a lot softer. So, let’s do that for now because we’re going for a more cute vibe with this one. So, I think we’re done here. You can make this one shorter or taller depending on where you’re putting it, but for now, this one looks great either way. Now, in most projects I work on, I do find myself adding at least one custom tree. They’re just so beautiful and simple ways to make your world feel a bit more curated and whimsical. And oak is one of the most common trees. So, I figured we’d start with one of those. Now, custom trees are kind of hard to teach because when I build them, I am kind of doing them very randomly. As you can see, this looks a little bit crazy, but I think the branches are done. So, the nice thing about having all of the branches already done is that it provides a nice little guide for where we’re going to place our leaves. So you’re not going to bring them out too much further than where you’ve placed the branches. And hopefully when you’ve spammed a bunch of leaves, it’ll all look good and come together nicely. And just like that, we have a very cute custom oak tree. Now on to birch, which is a really underrated custom tree. In real life, they grow to be very tall, so adding a couple custom birches does a ton for vertical visual interest. Although I actually think I’m yet to use them in one of my challenge builds. So this is how the trunk of our birch tree is looking. Now we just got to get over here and add in our leaves. And it’s pretty much the same situation as the oak where you just sort of go with your markings and don’t go too far out from them and hope that it looks good when you’ve added it all. And there we have it, a lovely custom birch tree. Then finally, my favorite wood type, spruce. These trees are so fun and make any build instantly look 10 times better. For spruce trees, you don’t really need to go too crazy with the branches. You just need to add in a few of these fence gates and also just a few wider ones at the bottom with some normal fences and then fence gates attached to them. Then for the leaves, similarly to the birch tree there, we’re going to keep the leaves pretty sparse. Then as you get to the top, you’re going to keep it pretty much to a single leaf to keep that classic spruce shape. And there’s our completed spruce tree. So wells can be found all over our Minecraft worlds in villages and even scattered throughout the deserts. So allow me to show you three different ways that you can decorate the same well base. So we’re going to start by just taking off this top layer and of course the oak fences because we’re going to put in some spruce fences. But let’s add in some spruce bits on each of these corners here. Then add in a stone brick wall and our spruce fences. Then let’s top off these posts with even more stripped spruce wood and join those up with our stone brick walls. And now let’s add our roof. So I’m just adding these spruce trap doors on each of our spruce blocks. And then on top of each of these, I’m doing a campfire. Don’t forget to put those out because as cool as they look burning, they Well, I guess you could leave them burning if you want to. So to add to the roof, I’m going to add in some of these spruce slabs and then just another spruce slab on this level. Then to fill in this hole, we’re going to use spruce stairs so that when we go all the way around like this, it creates a nice little point at the top, she says. Oh, there we go. Then for just a little bit more drama, add in a little bit of stone brick wall on the top. And we are looking good so far, but Millie is stuck in the well. Please get out of there, Mills. top or just canap right where I need to build. That’s fine, too. So, now let’s make this look like a proper well and add in a chain with a cauldron. Now, let’s add in some of these hanging pots and add some grass inside of those. And make sure we’ve got this lit up with a lantern. And Millie, if you could get out of there, that would be great. So, our well is looking really good, but this is looking really blocky. So, I’m going to take out these corner pieces right here. And to be honest, get rid of all of this. Then replace these with a little mix of cobblestone stairs and mossy cobblestone stairs. Now, how much better does that look now? 10 times better, right? What do you think, Mels? Don’t know. She’s sniffing my leg, apparently. And now she’s turned her back on me. What’s going on? All right. Next, we’re going for an overgrown well deep in a thick forest. Let’s start by expanding this well out a little bit. So, let’s just get rid of this whole top, actually, just like we did with the first well. And then we can do a little bit of this. grab a water bucket and fix all of that up and then we can get to work on the rest of the well. So, for detail around the water itself, I’m going to do a little mix of these moss blocks and mossy cobblestone, of course, with the normal cobblestone, too. Then, on the four corners, I’m just going to use a stone brick wall. Around the base, I’m going to do the same sort of mixture, but just make sure that on the ends we turn to the side so that we can still see this little corner of cobblestone. Now, we can start to build up the sides of our well. So, let’s do our little stone brick wall and build up with spruce fences. Then, topping each post off with a hopper. And to join these up, I’m just going to use spruce trap doors, which I’m going to have to just do a lot of jumping around for. To complete the roof, we just got to fill in this whole thing with some spruce slabs. Then add in some spruce stairs. Oh, okay. Wait, no. Can we do it here? Oh, we can. Okay, there we go. That’s what we’re going for. Then we can add a little thing in the middle here. Add in some stone brick walls all the way around the outside. Add one on top. Add a spruce fence. And that is the base of our well done. Well done, I guess you could say. So now in the center of the well, we’re going to add in our cauldron. And in true fashion, we’re going to cover this thing in leaves. Gorgeous, stunning, amazing. Let’s do the next one. So finally, we’re going for the fantasy well. Perfect for any daydreaming girly to add to her world. And this one is going to be the perfect whale to make a wish at. For the roof of this one, I’ve gone for dark oak because I think it’s going to contrast really nicely with this copper that I have to finish off the roof. Okay, it’s definitely giving mint chocolate as a combination, but I’m not loving that shape. So, let me just add in some more copper in these gaps here. And then I think with the stairs, we can go for a kind of like this situation. Okay. Yeah, definitely prefer that. In the middle here, I’m going to add in a little glass block. And then I’m going to add in some of these fence gates all the way around the edge. Making sure to have them open so that it looks better. Oh, they’re facing the wrong way. There we go. Then to top this part off, we’re going to go for some dark oak slabs and then some dark oak trap doors in the middle of them. So now let’s add our cauldron. I cannot see that chain for the life of me. And of course, this wouldn’t be an M build without it being absolutely covered in leaves. So, let’s get that done. Now, what did I say? Isn’t that the perfect little well to make a wish in? Let’s see if ours comes true. Oh, it did. Look, Millie came. And she picked up our treasure. What do you think, Mel? Do you like our little wishing fountain? Loves it so much she’s taking a nap on it. Seems to be a bit of a theme this video. So, next up is lighting. It’s necessary to every world and can be so cute and add so much character to your builds. Lights along your paths and in your village really just elevate those builds just that little bit more. So that’s what I’m building right [Music] now. So with the basic lamps done, I’m going to go in and add in some extra details with some flowers for the flower beds. And that’s our street lamps done. Hanging lanterns in trees and off of cliffs is a great way to add beautiful little glowing details. And I’m using the custom tree from earlier to show you how you can hang lanterns and plant pots and create a really cute vibe. Now, honestly, I think it looks pretty cool like this, but it’s definitely going to look better if you make sure to fill in all of the pots with something. So, I’m going for oak saplings, ferns, and aelia. And now, this tree looks absolutely magical. So, if you’re anything like me and have a burning dream to attend a floating lantern festival, what better way to scratch that itch than to add them into your Minecraft world? And once you have all your pieces of glass in place, it is super easy to do. Okay, actually, these might be the cutest thing ever. Oh my goodness. I was going to say how cute it was that Millie was playing with the rabbits, but never mind. Anyways, paths tie any build together. So, I’m going to start by adding in some oak logs and spruce fences as well as some oak leaves just to make the edges look a little bit better. And it’s always a good idea to add some slabs where there’s the big block jumps because that will make it a lot easier to move around. And with that part all done, it’s time to add some mushroom blocks. So, I’m just going to add a single one here and then add in a couple of these actual mushroom shape pops. Combining mushrooms and plants and grass to make a cute flower forest path is literally the dream. Now, spruce forests already have an innate drama to them. And what better way to enhance that mysterious feeling than with a spruce path. I still kept the simple coarse dirt and dirt path path, but this time we’re adding in some brown wool. And for our steps here, let’s do a little mix of oak slab and spruce slab. In these spruce forest, there are a lot of these mossy cobblestone boulders. I guess you could call them. So, what better way to line a spruce forest path than with some of these boulders and of course lots of leaves and just a few sweet berry bushes. And with that, we have another lovely pathway that you can add to one of your worlds. Lastly, a sweet little path strolling through softly falling cherry blossoms. Starting with the base of our path, which is just various stone bricks and cobblestone. Oh, and moss blocks. Now, of course, with the floor blocks done, we’re going to line this thing with some cherry blossom leaves. We’re keeping this one really, really simple because the cherry blossom biome is just so lovely on its own, and it doesn’t really need that much to make it look better. And there we have it, the perfect path to finish off our 25 builds, which was actually more like 45. I hope you’ve enjoyed and maybe found some inspiration somewhere in these 25 plus build ideas. One of the amazing things about Minecraft is that it truly is a sandbox game. The world is your oyster. So, take these builds, change them, remix them, make them yours, but don’t forget to let me know how it went. My name is M., this is Millie, and you have all been amazing. Thank you so much for watching, and I’ll see you all in the next one.

I’m early! Hi Em! I just want to say I listen to your videos while I play Minecraft and thank you for helping make my builds less flat 🫂❤️
bros always posting when im about to go to sleep thank you! (its 4am)
Em! I commented on your cottage video a few days ago asking after the version you played, I couldn’t seem to find it anywhere but did you know there’s a reddit from before the discord days where people analysed what mods and what version you play on? Your community loves you, as a side note. I have ended up modding my own single player with your mods and have built a lovely moss cottage in a superb seed. I’m now studying on how to add little details around my base to make it as stunning as yours are. I’m looking forward to all the content you’ve got cooking up!!

So many great and inspiring ideas! I'm looking forward to giving some of them a try. I think my favorite is the big tree stump Nether Portal, but honestly it was hard to pick a favorite because so many good ideas here!! Thanks for sharing your creativity!
They all look so cool
What mod do you use for the leafs and grass?
Millie is a well spirit who eats the offerings, confirmed lol
